In recent weeks it has come up several times that Casinomeister needs to have some mechanism in place for our readers to flag casino reviews as being outdated and/or in need of correction. One of our leading forum members puts it thusly:

… The review section is one of the major gateways into the site, and by extension the forums. As someone who has previously questioned a number of reviews for their accuracy and/or tone (of which some were resolved and some were not):
  • going forward, what oversight (if any) is there from the rest of the business - including the CM forum team - for these reviews?
  • going forward, what feedback mechanism - for the community as well as staff - will there be to correct and/or dispute reviews?

That is an excellent summary of the problem and starting point for discussion on what we should put in place to address this issue.

One suggestion that’s come forward is to add the Report mechanism to the casino reviews, as we currently have on forum posts:

report-a-post.webp

As @dunover brought up that’s not ideal because only staff see the Reports, meaning that other readers would be unaware of previous issues that had come to light.

Another idea is maybe a Comments section below each review, for obvious purpose.

So, that’s where we’re at for now. Any thoughts? Suggestions? Opinions? Please feel free to comment below.

If comments sections were to be added to reviews I would perhaps suggest having it set to moderator approval just like brand new accounts are with forum posts, so that you don't get people posting useless/brainless stuff to these comments and can be moderated so only valuable feedback, anecdotes and corrections are allowed.

In the meantime each time I'm feeling bored I'll bash out another year of reviews for licence based corrections, got 2022 lined up which I'll do later. Before doing 2024/2023 I had opened every single review (Some 530 tabs or something) which caused vivaldi to crash so I'll just go year by year instead 😅

What I think would be good and also feasible to introduce is a player comment section to each casino review, probably at the bottom.

Whilst the majority of our casino reviews are fairly long and in excess of 3,000 words, we could I am sure introduce a link to the player comments section just below the fold at the top of the review page.

This would then allow and invite feedback concerning all casinos which are reviewed here on Casinomeister.

Certainly worth suggesting IMO.

Edited to add, yes, all comments would of course have to be manually approved. Otherwise like with a forum, it could turn into a spamfest overnight, without it being policed properly. This is a given.

Outstanding recommendation! Thank you.

Continuing on from my efforts in the other thread, here is mainly licencing corrections to reviews from 2022:
  • 6black - rogue casino appears to have closed.
  • arcanebet - 365/JAZ needs updated to active GCB
  • axe casino - 8048/JAZ needs updated to active GCB
  • betcoin.ag - 365/JAZ has not been replaced with any other licence so far.
  • Betflip - Rogue review so somewhat moot but they are now unlicenced rather than Curacao licenced.
  • betnow - rogue review so somewhat moot but now anjouan licenced rather than curacao.
  • bets.io - 365/JAZ needs replaced with GCB/Anjouan although its slightly unclear. Betsio.com has an active GCB licence however bets.io is the url in use and is still describing and anjouan licence in their terms (the wrong one, ZOSMA which only lists their sister site, bookofbet, whilst they (bets.io and betsio.com) are under TESSERA LIMITED SRL.
  • bitdreams - 8048/JAZ needs replaced with pending GCB. Ownership has apparently changed hands. Is supposed to be hollycorn site but are now owned by "Blue Beaver N.V.". Winningdays, another softswiss site by way of dama, is also part of this company that has a pending GCB licence.
  • chipstars - 1668/JAZ needs replaced with active GCB (Games & More BV, large group).
  • iwild - 8048/JAZ needs replaced with active GCB. I haven't really touched on tone at all but while scrolling I saw the review kinda glossed over the low MCO the site has (x5b), simply describing it as more liberal than cap on the free spins. I feel like it should atleast paint that as a negative aspect of the site. I also think that the withdrawal speed section neglects to mention the altacore trademark "timeout" that leads to delayed withdrawals. Altacore always pay out eventually though.
  • joker.io - 8048/JAZ needs to be replaced with pending GCB. Njord also has Estonian and Anjouan licences.
  • JooCasino - 8048/JAZ needs replaced with active GCB. I didnt spot this on winz.io and rocketplay in the previous post i made but a select few dama casinos including these three are present in the Kingswin entry on the Estonian register.
  • koi - ditto joker.io
  • kwiff - review has already been updated when kwiff lost accreditation, up to you whether another is worth doing as they seem to get worse with each month. It's technically a different site but could also mention they target ROW via betkwiff which has a C.I.L. licence expiring and an active Isle of Man Licence.
  • ladyluck - IG Services / TheOnlineCasino appear to be running as unlicenced and have not replaced their 365/JAZ.
  • Leon - 8048/JAZ needs replaced with Kahnawake (KGC) although they've had that long before 8048/JAZ expired. They also have a Pending GCB licence as well as leonbz.bet and leoncr.bet urls licenced in anjouan (these are legit and not fake impersonations as I tested my old leon login and it worked properly).
  • Les Ambassadeurs - not about the UKGC site specifically but when I was doing my Anjouan sweep i came across lesapremiun.com. They are either faking/impersonating LAC or it is a real crypto ROW offshoot. I lean towards the former but perhaps you can find those answers. I would put a disclaimer to be careful about this site as it is not uk licenced but shares a very similar name
  • mBit - 8048/JAZ needs replaced with active GCB. Review is also deadnaming (lol) Dama with their old Direx name.
  • Nine Casino - 1668/JAZ needs replaced with pending GCB. Also as of last week Uno Digital Media was added to the kahnawake permit holders list. Ninecasino are yet to display that licence though. While being affiliated with Dux via affiliate means, if they were previously in the footer / terms, the company that is there now is Uno Digital Media although duxgroup is probably still running the show behind the scenes.
  • playamo - didn't even realise playamo was rogued by CM when I was in the $215k win thread. The tone of this review is very jarring compared to many reviews of other dama/hollycorn softswiss sites. Playamo Partners Group no longer shows 22bet, perhaps they've distanced themselves from the 1xbet platform? I depise 1xBet and their platform as 95% of the sites on that platform keep the "redeem not above initial bonus amount" term. Whilst being connected to sites that are on a platform that has hosted fake games in the past that definitely isn't happening on a softswiss platform site. Many more recent reviews sing the praises of dama and softwsiss specifically running a tight ship but its almost painted as a bad point in this review. Perhaps whole review needs revisited to correct things that have changed and check if other negatives have changed. The dormancy seems to be the boiler plate year dama stuff rather than the 180 days mentioned in the review. The affiliate/partner group situation may have changed and the general sentiment towards Dama/Direx has changed since the writing of the review.
  • primaplay - ditto ladyluck
  • redcherry - ditto ladyluck
  • reddog - vague curacao mentions need changed to Anjouan licence, fitting of the Rogue determination. Sisters sites (Wonder Play) are el royale, las atlantis, aussiepaly, slotsempire, betwhale.
  • Slotsninja - 365/JAZ needs replaced with anjouan. Probably the only accredited group with an anjouan licence!
  • Slotsroom - ditto above
  • spinfinity - ditto above
  • stake - 365/JAZ needs replaced with pending GCB
  • tripleseven - ditto ladyluck
  • verywell - rogue casino is now unlicenced and did not replace their 1668/JAZ
