Hi,

Three suggestions:
*1 You have put me in this group, but it does not help at all, if you are there unwillingly. I suggest you do not ban people against their will in quit gambling. And you are selective as well who you put there.
I still can read every complaint and there are a lot about self exclusion, those people are not all banned over there, cause about 30 to 40% of this forum has troubles otherwise casino's were bankrupt-;)

There are a lot of complaints about SE, cause most of the casino's do not act legally, yes even your accredited ones, like Casino Cruise ( I truely feel a deep disrespect feeling about them)

*2 make a legal page and give information for people where to turn to legally. Make a deal for example with gaming law specialists, who can provide no cure no pay legal advice, cause people are legally in the dark about their rights and how to go to a judge cause gaming law is not all about the license of MGA or British. It's also a lot of consumer law and other legal stuff, which is not judged by adr/ gaming authority. Provide connection for people to team up legally to a judge. Cause you do a great job, but there are still licensed casino's who do not respond to you. There a many good casino's, but there are a lot of casino's getting away by this since gamblers don't know their way to court.

*3 so my third thought is to make a separate complaint group only about exclusion of accounts. And post up front every legal rule about the closures, cause many casino's don't act legally what I see in the forum.

Greetz!!!

Ps

I repost my general legal view about this here so I can reach more people:

TO EVERYONE READING THIS, LET ME BE CLEAR LEGALLY BASED ON MGA LAW of 2004, WHICH IS STILL VALID UNTILL NEW GAMING LAW 2018, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PROVIDE A REASON FOR EXCLUSION. THEIR IS NO DEFINITION IN MGA LAW OR PUBLICLY KNOWN POLICY/ JURISPRUDENCE ON MGA SITE OF THE MEANING OF THE WORD. WHEN THERE IS NOT SUCH EXPLANATION A BROAD MEANING APPLIES, IN EVERY LAW, WHICH MEANS EVERY CLOSURE!!!!! YOU DON'T HAVE TO STATE GAMBLING PROBLEMS!!
ALSO THUS ON EVERY REOPENING THEY NEED TO APPLY 7 DAYS WAITING.
THEREFORE A LOT OF RESPONSIBLE GAMING POLICIES IN CASINO TERMS CANNOT UPHOLD EITHER SINCE THEY BREACH THE LAW!

DON'T LET THEM TELL YOU OTHERWISE. LEGALLY YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO UPHOLD YOUR CLAIM. READ art 43 of MGA!

There are some good ideas there. In particular I like #3, "a separate complaint group only about exclusion". I think it might be best as a separate forum -- rather than a user group -- but that's just a detail (if I understand your intention correctly). I'll add a poll to this thread to see what the other readers think of the idea.

Yes, a separate forum. Thx!

Defo a good idea.

Read / seen way too many 'oh no SE again' responses from members when a new complaint appears in recent weeks.

At least in a separate forum, members will know what they are expecting before clicking the link.

Maybe at the top of this forum we could have a "sticky post" including some guidelines about SE in general for lesser experienced players / members, possibly with this addition even avoiding some complaints altogether.

Only downside could be less than the usual amount of input regarding any future complaints due to the the repetitive nature of this issue?

Well, as it's the second-most common source of bitching after bonus disputes, perhaps it will help us to keep the issue in one place and we can get an approximate idea of where the worst sources of the problem are.

While I did vote for a separate forum, what I would rather see a section for Self Exclusion Complaints, similar to how we have bonus and non-bonus complaints sections.

I'd probably rarely visit an entirely separate forum. Reminds me I should probably pop in and visit the US one.

How casinos are handing their self-exclusion issues greatly influence my opinion of certain brands.

While it was not a self-exclusion issue but a change to deposit limits, I had a recent experience where a staff member walked me through it when I was having some difficulties with their process .... and incorrectly so. So I ended up with a zero limit for a week. Even though they made the error in telling me how to proceed, they told me there was no way to fix it, due to "UK Law". When I pointed out that I was playing under their Malta licence, they responded they only used UK rules, as it was too complicated otherwise.

This just cost me the ability to deposit and play a tournament I had really wanted to participate in, so no biggie, I just took that deposit elsewhere.

But I've seen a number of issues where people that just wanted to close an account were basically told that they were self-excluded by mistake, and there was no way to fix that.

The mindset that the only reason a player might want to cease playing is that they have a gambling addiction needs to go. I could be really unhappy at ABC casino, but sister casino XYZ has great and efficient staff and quicker payments.
