I just got my WP card today.
From the other threads I read about cashing out:
I noticed many people like to cash out from the casino to Quick Tender (Use My Wallet).

Then Quick Tender to Wired Plastic instead of directly to their bank.

Usually when everyone is doing something a certain way there is a reason.
But I am not positive I understand the advantage of QT to WP, over QT to my bank account?

To twist a familiar phrase, "What your bank doesn't know, won't hurt you". Since banks are supposed to question/block all transactions they suspect to be related to online gambling, leaving your bank out of the loop entirely is the safest route. This way, when you're ready to deposit again, you can use the money sitting in WP. The trick comes when you need to deposit "fresh" money into WP for depositing into the casino. Then you have to find the time, and pay the fees, to take cash out of your bank account and deposit it into Wired Plastic. Now, I must admit I do cashout from QT back to my bank account because I deposit into my prepaid card electronically from my bank. My bank hasn't questioned any QT cashouts (yet), but, curiously, did question the *one* time I deposited in to QT. I have NetSpend, not WP, and they allow transfers from PayPal, for free, which is a nice feature. So, my transactions go Bank>PayPal>NetSpend>Casino>QT>Bank.

So let me get this straight....

You can withdraw from Quick Tender via bank wire to your Wired Plastic card?

My reason for asking is because I attempted to withdraw from a gaming site via bank wire to my Netspend account to see if it would work however Netspend rejected the transfer because they don't allow wire transfers, only ACH transactions. I knew this ahead of time but figured I would try.

So am I understanding correctly that you can withdraw from QT to your Wired Plastic account?

If so, that is great! Also, are there any other prepaid accounts that allow withdrawals from QT such as AccountNow or Achieve?

Thanks in advance for any responses!

Yep, Ande. Wire from QT to Wired Plastic. Works like a charm for me and has for over a year. Takes about 4-5 days (work days) from beginning to end. I think WP charges me $6.95 per wire. So not bad at all.

I've had problems in the past transferring from QT to Netspend.....maybe it is easier now.

AccountNow really sux IMO as you cannot use it to deposit at any casino or poker room (at least last time I checked).

WP is preferable because transfers always work and you can use the card (i) to withdraw from ATM, (ii) anywhere that accepts Visa/Mastercard and (iii) to deposit at any casino or poker room.

So has Netspend ever actually worked for you?

I agree AccountNow does suck but I'm not interested in using it to deposit, just to withdraw from QT.

Main reason I'm asking is because I just signed up for a WP card and it probably won't arrive this week. So I'm looking for an alternative in the meantime to withdraw some funds. I have an AccountNow and Netspend card and was wondering if either one would work in the interim?

Unless you can ACH out of QT to Netspend, then Netspend won't work as a withdrawal end. I think that QT sends wires only but I'm not sure. Don't know a thing about AccountNow.

On Quicktender's login page, you see a graphic of what looks like a Quicktender credit/debit card. But I haven't been able to find out anything about it through the FAQs or Product Info webpages. A Quicktender debit card would be a great thing to have!

I saw that too but I think it is purely for show. It probably just represents the fact that they are used like a credit/debit card to make purchases online. Did you ever contact support and ask? If not this is something that shoud be looked into.

Basically if you have a WP account and your gaming site offers bank wire withdrawals you can simply cashout to WP from the site. Possibly saving yourself the $30 fee that QT charges, depending on what the gaming sites fees are. The site I'm trying to withdraw money from doesn't charge for bank wire withdrawals so I would probably be saving myself time and money not using QT.

The main reason why a lot of folks avoid using direct cashout is the lag time between submitting the request and actually receiving it. QT is known for it's quick turn around on casino withdrawals and wires as well.

hello all, i have a few quick questions about quick tender and wired plastic...

1. i have not received my wired plastic card yet should come some time this week...i know it has to be activiated for use at atm....but i have all the account info already got it when i ordered the card...(account#, routing#, bank info)...can i put money on it without having the card...can i withdrawal from my qt account using the info i have and when i get the card activate it so i can withdrawal from the atm...

2. how long does qt take to put the money on the card....

3. when i withdrawal from qt say it takes 3 business days...will the money still be sitting in my qt account for those days or as soon as i request a payout will the funds leave my qt account....

the reason for asking these questions is because i dont want the money sitting in my qt account to long as i will be tempted to deposit in the casinos...so i am trying to get the money out of my qt account and on my wired plastic card as soon as possible.....i should receive the funds to my qt account today and should receive the wired plastic card by thursday...

ur help in this matter is greatly appricated..thanks

I'll see if I can answer some of your questions as best I can.

You will have to have the actual card to load it because they swipe the card at most places or if you use the WU prepaid load form, they have to see the card plus you need the actual number off the card to load.

I don't think you will have a problem withdrawing without the card because you set up WP as a bank account thru QT. It will have to be verified by QT, sending small deposit/credit and you have to tell them what they were.

My withdrawals from QT usually take about 4 days to hit my WP card. It varies with when you make your withdrawal and weekends and holidays don't count.

Yes, your money will be reversable until it says requested. Then you won't be able to reverse after that.

Does this help?

I believe she is saying that QT will make a small deposit to your WP account to verify it is active and that you have provided the correct routing and account numbers.
