OK I got disconnected from Bodog a couple of days ago when winning(internet ok) I get back in a RJ has gone and it plays shit
Tonight I am playing and winning and I get disconnected(internet ok) and both RJ's that I have been going for have gone when I get back in.
I am freakin so angry because I have been playing these slots on auto even when I have gone to bed to try and win a RJ!
Never disconnected for 48 hours solid then suddenly just before the RJ's go I gert disconnected!
WTF!
I need to know if anyone has been playing Bodog tonight.

Not sure if this is the case there, but RTG casinos can tie more than one slot into the random jackpot. So it might have only been one that hit, but two were linked to it.

Thanks that would take away some of the coincidence and make me a little less paranoid.

It wouldn't make me any less paranoid! I can't explain why, but I've always had an inner gut feeling of distrust for RTG. I don't care how nice Emily Hanson or anyone else is said to be, if you don't have confidence in the software, then don't play there. On the other hand, even though I've lost more money to them than anyone, I've always felt good about Microgaming software. Too bad Intertops was the only option available. They just got too greedy. They upped my minimum deposit to $200.00 at a time.. and even tried to make it a minimum of $400.00 for about a week. (I'm talking Moneygram folks! That was my only deposit method and they knew it! They blamed it on their local Moneygram office, but when I played Club USA casino at the time.. the Moneygram deposits were sent to the very same place, and with a $40.00 minimum. Same Moneygram office in Managua, Nicaragua.. but Intertops states that Moneygram insists on $200.00 minimum. But why not for RTG? Does Moneygram like them better? Lies! Lies! Lies! )

Rusty, in all honesty i'm starting to get a little worried for you

It's nice that people care

Around 200 hours of being connected, Two disconnects from the Casino end, Two times the Random Jackpots have gone when I have got back in.
I am not saying it is a conspiracy but it is a coincidence that warrants investigating.
I can not see any reason why the Two should be related but such a strong coincidence suggests they could be.
Can I get out of the chair now?

A busy casino is still going to have winners, and I think Blow-Dog is still taking in alot of deposits even from the U.S. in spite of the new legislation . I would expect that any casinos that relied on their U.S. customer base and then lost that revenue completely would have a noticable decrease in their slots payouts. On the contrary, some of these casinos that are willing to take a stand and keep on accepting Americans might be accumilating more wealth than ever. Imagine the increase in players that Intertops must have seen after every other MG casino dropped out of the U.S. market for the 11 banned states. If you live in these states and demand MG software.. then Intertops is the only game in town.

Actually the odd thing is as regards payouts on slots Bodog is the best Casino I have ever played at and I have played a few
Just wondered if there was some weird technical reason why I got disconnected when the RJ's were falling.

Even though a couple of the RJ's are linked, that doesn't explain the disconnects just as one 'seems' to hit.
There's a few little things that happens within the RTG casinos, since I played slots, have no idea about other
games, but don't you just love it you're hitting goo and that split second 'download' box appears, then you hit nothing after that?

BTW, that disconnect then RJ being hit, has happened to me.

Well that adds to the coincidence, I wonder if this has happened to other people?
As for the download update box or updating lobby box these used to appear regularly at inetbet and Clubworld but it has not happened one single time at Bodog?
Now that is odd.

Yah, WTF is the lobby being updated for and why do they need to retreive a marquis in the middle of a game... how about next time I sign in?

We'll never know and they'll never answer. Zaqwert prolly knows but he ain't saying.

Well it just happened again!

Only this time it was not the Cleopatra slot RJ that went so I imediately went to check on the highest RJ which was Enchanted Garden and surprise surprise it had just gone:eek2:
There is something interesting going on here.

It's probably some kind of security built into the RTG program that disconnects all users and verifies the legitimacy of the win whenever a jackpot is hit. Maybe just a safety precaution so noone can hack the system and clean em out of all their RJ's.

that does make the most sense but id still be pissed if i were rusty!!

 Why? Getting disconnected doesn't cost you anything... does it? My guess it that he's getting kicked off along with everyone else because the jackpot was hit by someone at that moment. I highly doubt the coincidence of him getting knocked off and missing the jackpot because the connection was broken. I think that the Jackpot is what causes the break in communication.

time....having to log back in... you might have been on a roll maybe and that just takes away the excitement you may have had during the free spins imo!! no it doesnt cost you any money but its still a pain in the ass!!

Well, when Rusty hits a Randon JP, then everyone else'll get knocked off... and he can laugh at them! :p

Having the server boot active players so that it can "verify the legitimacy of a random jackpot win" doesn't make sense, since it apparently allows you to log back in right away and continue playing. It's either crappy programming or something more sinister.

It makes me wait 10 minutes before I can log back in "for secuity reasons"
Anyway at least it doesnt seem to affect the payout

Again, not sure if this is what happened, just explaining somethings. The operator can see everyone who is playing and what they are playing. A lot of times there may only be 5 to 10 people playing in the casino. All os a sudden someone hits the jack pot or something and an over zeloust rep checks on who is playing, and see's that someone is playing .01 per line and only like 1 line who is only playing for the random jackpot, the clerk knocks them off line.

Phynqster, I think I have read somewhere that you worked for RTG and know how things work. So let me ask something according to what you just wrote....

A person is playing 1 cent per line, one line. Trying to bide his time because the jackpot typically comes in around the size it's at right then. The Random Jackpot is hit! It's the person playing 1 cent. The RTG employee actually has time to:
1) Realize the jackpot went off
2) Look and see who won it
3) Kick that player off the casino

All this before the player sees that he won??? Is there a delay? Wouldn't he see his screen say that he won the Random long before the employee could knock him off? Enlighten me please!

Thank you for all the insight you offer about the way RTG operators function.

It doesn't seem to me that what you describe is what's been happening to Rusty, although I gather that he prefers to play 9 lines instead of all 20 or 25.

At an honest casino, playing less than max lines shouldn't be reason to "knock them off". :p

No, They would not knock off a player who had just won, and even if they did the money would still be in the players account.
What I was saying was that a customer service rep who is monitoring play see's that a player has not made a bet in say 1 hour, the srvice rep knocks the player off line. The reason is the player is taking up bandwidth and also may not remember that they are still logged into the casino, and if they try to log in again the system will not let them because they are still logged in. So the CSR is watching that and knocking players off. So if an over zelous CSR see's a player playing only .01, they might knock them off line, because they know they are only playing for the Random Jackpot.
