Interrogation uk gambling is a joke.

I've had the past 7 days off work annual leave and I've been playing a bit on betvictor won a ok amount on the first day so was using that to play which is rare these days to be able to manage to do that. Logs in yesterday big orange pop up information required and they had froze the account. Safer gambling. Called them and was basically interrogated like I am a terrorist for daring to play every day! Asked me why I was playing on the account every day and what was I hoping to get out of it? ?? entertainment maybe?? What a absolute clown company. I also said as you can see I take breaks regularly and withdraw I even have a self set loss and deposit limit! What the actual f is wrong with these casinos lately. Pretty sure they wouldn't give a damn if I deposited a large amount and lost instantly. The fact is they don't like you turning a profit and playing on with it and withdrawing. Which is rare as it is these days. And I am also fully verified with them and done a sow begrudgingly last summer with them! Nothing I have done is raising red flags yet here they are interrogating little old me like I'm a full blown addict or worse money laundering disgusting and had it with this shit. Uk is mess right now and the nanny state will only get worse. Never felt so appalled to be spoken to and interrogated like that for daring to use gambling as its intended for entertainment. What exactly do they want you to do I know what is lose lose lose don't you dare turn a profit and withdraw and continue to play and withdraw with the same paltry £10 originally deposited!! Clowns

But yeah the UK is a joke now and it will get a lot worse hence why I am currently getting everything setup to start playing in crypto casinos for a bit when I want a break from the regulated UK shitshow.

Only casino that I keep getting questioned by now is Pokerstars every time I do play like a lot back to back days in a row I get emails from their safer gambling department without fail this is without even winning and just losing none stop without any withdraws. They lock my account until I reply back to their emails as well answering all their stupid questions etc.

But what pissed me off more about Pokerstars is their shit website it has so many damn bugs it has got worse and worse and worse. I get errors left right and centre. Then to top all of that of PayPal got removed as a deposit method. So now I struggle to deposit and play their anyway because of that. Another casino that also removed PayPal was Hello Casino.

Anyone have any idea why some casinos have now removed PayPal as a deposit/withdraw method?

Fully expecting some day for Doris down Tesco's to be tackled by security for having too much of a flutter on the National Lottery soon enough. Seems pretty horrendous that you get that sort of interrogation for just playing a few days in a row. That seems mental.

Said to me you've logged in 7 days in a row what are you expecting to get from the site ???? funny thing Is they can see I've won and played it wasn't even continuous deposits which I get could possibly trigger safer gambling. I was literally playing with the winnings I got plus withdrawing then playing on. It's odd that I have loss on the account and they didn't interrogate me during that time just when I finally win on the shit site.

I don't know if it's why casinos have removed PayPal, but it's not great as far as safer gambling goes-I touched on it before when I was having issues but they let you deposit funds that you don't have in your PP or bank account (to the tune of about £40 or more a day) and take it out later. Then you can get a negative balance on PayPal. I could see how people could get in a right mess-I know self control and everything and it's personal responsibility but it's potentially bad for compulsive gamblers. Although why they couldn't remove this option and just have regular deposits I don't know as it's not on all sites that allow PayPal just a select few.

Yes I know about that but I did not think the transactions would go through if your in the red or close to the red and not enough balance to cover the transaction.

I doubt it was because of that reason. For example when I deposit with PayPal I always login to my bank app and send directly to my PayPal from their I have my PayPal as a payee in my bank.

So I have never had any issues and plus I always only gamble what I can afford. People that do not are just asking for trouble. If they have no self control etc.

But trust me I know what it can get like but I still have self control. I gamble for fun and when I no longer have any fun or enjoyment from it I stop.

I have no idea how it is now, but a few years back, you could easily deposit using PP without having a penny in your account. Once when i was crazy gambling..., i did it myself and in a week deposited £7.9K in Betsafe. After that, PP sent me a few reminders to pay the outstanding balance, but then just closed the account.

Later, i opened a new one and am using it to this day. Some 7-10 years ago, there was a court case in Germany against a player for doing the same thing, and PP lost it.

I guess it's the same with all UK government-regulated casinos now. I have lost count of the number of times Videoslots have rung me with the exact same interrogation and stupid questions, lasting at least 5 minutes

Nothing we can do about it really, except use unregulated off-shore places instead. Places who don't have to pay our government any taxes - how intelligent is that?

Unibet (Belgium) removed Paypal as payment method last Monday. I can still withdraw to it but not deposit with it anymore. No clue why and I don't feel like sitting in the support queue for 30 minutes just to be told that they don't know why and there are various other methods available

I had this problem with PayPal where they took a payment I thought I had cancelled. I wouldn't pay it so the closed my account. I am glad of this anyway as I use all card payments and especially the instant bank transfer option and it is much easier and quicker.

Yes, I remember this from a few years back.

Now and again would deposit £20 or so into one of the old Microgaming download casinos with PP empty but also that payday would arrive before they tried for the e-transfer so I could cover it in time lol. :o

I think then the possibility to go into 'credit' using PP was influenced by how often you've used it in general. So I guess they allowed me to go this deep because i was using it often, especially on eBay.

I think I only ever done it by accident a few times when I was not counting the deposits/amounts from each re prep depo - usually I remember and count but sometimes I do not lol.

The way I like to gamble is doing £20 depositt, it is just easier to manage and try get lucky from a smaller depo 99% of the time I never am haha. I used to do £10 deposits many years ago but got sick of re prepping every 2 mins so yeah.

I mean I ordered a new Card Reader anyway because Pokerstars removed it so I had to add Pay By BNank as a payee to my bank app and if Videoslots remove PayPal as well and Mr Q then I would have been stuck. The battery died in my card reader so I could not add a new payee. But will be fine once I get the new one though.

So glad that I didn't know about the PayPal trick, and that Cryptocurrency gambling using credit cards wasn't a thing, back in the day.

Old, stupid me would have run everything up to the max very quickly no doubt as I was completely out of control.

Now its just a very small cash budget converted to LTC, if no luck then that's it for the month.

Another loop hole I just remembered linked to the PP thing lol....

About 7-8 years ago we were skint beyond skint, desperately waiting on payday and needed quite a few essentials.

Wife deposited £100 via Paypal into her Ladbrokes account, didn't make a single bet or spin, I drove to shop and withdrew it in cash, problem solved lol :p

is easy option to max your credit card now, just go to skrill make deposit with credit card withdraw to you debit card, other option go to Revolut bank add money pay by google money cash to spend
thanks god i paid all my credit cards 2 years ago and close all my accounts

Yeah but you have to have linked your bank. You would not be able to do a transaction without that link and if you chose the debit card option then that would be taken immediately from your bank. If you intentionally unlinked your bank before you closed it. But I am not even sure on this one I would need clarity but I would think that if you did unlink and remove your bank info from PayPal account before you closed it those payments would still be taken from your bank account.

They work the same way as Direct Debits so if you cancel a direct debit the 3 day rule applies. So if you cancel it the 1st day of the 3 day rule then the money will still be taken from your bank.

Also what you said would make no sense how you can get into a huge debt in PayPal and they keep all the account details for it and then you close it and make a new one, they would surely cross check and match your details. Then they could and would probably chase you for the money owed. You are only allowed 1 customer normal account and 1 business account with PayPal.

So something sounds fishy with what you stated bud

Oh yeah I wasn't suggesting you had a problem at all, more that others were maybe doing this so they removed PayPal as an option for everyone? Or I just remembered one of my sites took PayPal off temporarily and when they brought it back it was with the message you can't deposit via PayPal if you use mastercard, could that be the reason?

Could very well be because of mastercard as well. I do not use or have a mastercard.

It worked like this.

Once, i deposited £100 to Betsfe using PP and then realized that i didn't have the money in my PP account nor my debit card. But the payments still went through. Then i tried again, and it worked too - all up to around 10 or so deposits a day.

It didn't work when i tried to deposit £500 or 1k at a time, but it worked if i quickly made 5 deposits one after the other of £100-150.

My debit card was linked to PP and set to use my PP balance first for purchases. My bank was not linked, only a debit card.

I kept that debit card at a zero balance so they couldn't take anything. Then i just unlinked it, and that was it.

I didn't close my PP account; they did it after a few months. And i never had to pay them a penny back. From the moment they closed the account, there were no more notifications from them.

Likely, they realized that these were gambling transactions and that there would be no point in fucking about with gamblers, the same as in their court case in Germany which they lost.

Now i have a new account and am using it for various online subscriptions and money transfers. It has been set up after a couple of years with the same details as the old one - home address, phone, etc.
