Once you actually get to order their debit card expect a bunch more hoops!

A drivers license is no longer acceptable as a form of ID. In addition you can expect more requests to upload docs and this is after being fully verified with Okpay themselves. This is more red tape and verification from the actual Debit card bank.

Starting to think it's not worth it for me personally.

Just an update for US players trying to obtain the debit card.

Good luck if you don't have a passport.

As to what else you can use to confirm your personal ID besides a driver's license or passport-the response I got was Please upload all personal papers.:what:

Trying to get definitive answers is like pulling teeth. Be prepared for "cookie cutter" responses to specific questions.

Now I have $15 sitting in the wallet-YEA!

I knew there was a reason why---

I quit on them when they wouldn't be satisfied with calling on a land line. They wanted me to get a cell phone so they could verify me and I guess any transactions I might make.

It sounds like they are getting worse.

Enough was Enuf!

Yeah I am having an issue with them at the moment. I will not go into full details but if it's not handled correctly I will have to post about it.

I am hoping they get this fixed because it would really be a shame for them to do this again to anyone else.

Stay tuned.

I don't understand all the problems. I have had an OKPay account for a while but never used it. I had sent in all the documents for verification at the time of opening.

When I decided to use it, they did request I send in a new DL copy and utility bill but that was it. I ordered a debit card and last I heard from them, it was approved.

I have received no notification that they wouldn't take a DL copy as ID, matter of fact the last email I received from them the end of October expressly stated that DL, passport and several other things could be used as identification.

As of this morning my request for the debit card has been denied. Even though I am fully verified with OKpay now.

They stated that the debit card bank does not accept a drivers license as a form of personal id. So that only leaves a passport according to them. Also they basically refused to answer what else would work.

They further stated that my "approved" and professionally uploaded utility bills were also not enough for the debit card bank. Again even though fully verified with OK the debit card bank now wants several months worth of "hard copy" utility bills.

I really am glad you have gotten yours to go through and maybe they have just recently made some more stringent changes. At this point unless I go and get a passport I have been denied the debit card and wasted a lot of time trying to figure out how to fund the wallet with $15.

Here is the mail I got from them this morning:

Please note, the card-issuer bank does not accept driving license as identity proof anymore. Please upload your passport or ID card as well as a hard copy of your utility bill of 2 recent months. Please note, these are the requirements of the bank, but not OKPAY.

They have always been OK in the past, that's why my issue isn't posted here yet. I think it's the time difference that is causing most of the frustration in my issue.

I am almost positive it will be handled in a professional manner.

Just wanted to give my $0.02 in the thread is all, I think most players don't have an issue with them at the moment or ever had one.

They are a lot more strict now than they were when they first opened up business.

I just got the same blanket denial

This is the fourth time I have scanned over my current utility bills for the 4th time and they are PDF and I paid to have them professionally done in color at fed ex kinkos.

I am starting to think it is not worth all the trouble. Glad I found this post.

Just an FYI-

I did the same as you. I got a copy service to professionally convert the color pdf files over to color jpg and all of a sudden I got approved.

What I don't understand is WHY? What is the difference they were the exact same document!

Keep us informed would you?

Not thrilled but.....

I too was mysteriously Approved this morning, not thrilled though, did NOT resend anything, to get approved. Just the same denial from before after sending my utility bill 4 times?

Maybe they are reading the forum here?

I don't know but I did ask for some assistance from one of the forum reps here in getting some definitive answers from OKPay support to my specific questions.

A few hours ago I FINALLY got an answer on the debit card directly from OKpay.

You will NOT be approved for a debit card if you don't have a passport-PERIOD. It is the only acceptable form of personal ID that the card issuing bank is currently accepting.

These things should have been more thoroughly vetted beforehand in my opinion.

I specifically sent an email to OKPay asking them to definitively state whether or not I was approved for a debit card. I had been told for the the last week that I had been approved and the card was on it's way.

However, the email I received this morning said that I had been denied a debit card and the funds would be put back into my OKPay account. And they have.

So there you have it. :eek2:

Well I am sorry to hear that, I mean that. I was hoping that maybe you had put your request in early enough in October that yours would go through!

I really think it would have been helpful to US players (or all players) to be made aware up front that OK and the debit card are SEPARATE entities.

It also would have been nice to know up front that it would take 2 sets of DOCS to qualify for approval.

I'm not gonna sweat it and I'm certainly not going to go get a passport. LOL! As long as OKPay works by wire, I'm good.

Just wish someone would have told me 3 weeks ago when all this was taking place. Actually longer than that because I talked to them about a debit card months ago.

Yea same here. I'm not going to go out and go thru all this again by getting a passport.

It would be nice if anyone has done the actual wire w/d to their bank account, to post about their experience-I would like to hear about that.

Imagine..

Imagine if one of us went to get a Passport just to use okpay? Nope I wouldn't.

My issue was fixed but I am not going to be using them any more anyways.

I will stay with my Paste and Pay for the moment and keep on truckin'.

That is so weird - i only sent once set of docs was approved in less then an hour. Filled out debit card info and received in 10 days. Never asked me for passport or anything.

But how long ago was that? My understanding is that this has been set in place at least in the last month since a lot of us applied when CW introduced it as a new method of depositing and withdrawing.

Wish I was in your shoes:D

Does anyone know if a "stamped" bank statement means:

1. stamped with the bank logo

or

2. stamped meaning a notary stamp

Each page of the bank statement must be "stamped" with a teller's stamp from the bank...I went through a similar request when I had to submit bank statements for a recent mortgage application. What a hassle.

So much for this then. Utilities are in my husbands name. I sent in drivers. Now I wish I would not have sent that at all! It seems strange to me they want so much information.
No way Im renewing a passport I will never use. Makes me wonder if they are forging passports in real peoples names. Sorry , just too many alarm bells.

I agree with you! They want banking details, passport, copies and copies of such personal information??? No way in hell would I sign up there. I looked into it and changed my mind.

Surprised they don't want your DNA sample sent in as well. This is crazy to have to send in all this info of personal information. I know 3dice really pushes this option but this is way to much of a hassle and to much information to give a foreign site. As much as I'd love to play online I will not go all these hoops and on top of that pay crazy fees just to push some buttons and spin some reels. I'll just have to stick to my local casinos that are all within a half hour drive.

I believe all told I have paid to have 8 documents professionally scanned including 2 months of bank statements that were rejected because they just refuse to explain a simple term like "stamped" prior to submission LOL.

Last year I got an online unsecured personal loan with nothing more than entering my gross annual wages-this is a DEBIT card not a line of credit for crying out loud.
