The flag drama had nothing to do with Trump. The White House Staff followed protocol. No one ordered the flag raised prematurely.
Trump Derangement Syndrome sufferers fell on their backs and started flailing and screaming about something they (as usual) know nothing about. The President ordered the flag lowered again to accommodate their grief , not because he got caught being a disrespectful or spiteful baby.

The world is a better place without McCain. Period.

Seriously? What the hell is wrong with you?
You have the same amount of humanity left in you as in Trump. Typical trumpster.

No I'm not and stop putting words in my mouth.

btw, there are no more dems. The dems have become the progressives who want to take the guns.

Spoken like a true Fox News person.

Scare tactics.

And yes those dems....well they’ve got to decide who they are.

And No one wants to take guns away. But there is a serious need for gun reform in this country as we can agree to that.

Hey

Just wondering why you think the world would be a better place without McCain. That’s a pretty big statement to make. You seem firm on that. Do you know s9methimg about McCain the rest of us don’t.

Ok after 81 pages I've concluded that:

Steviedoo thinks Trump and Fox News blow ass

Kelly Jo think Qanons are real creatures that live in the forest

Harry believes Mr T is a petulant 6 year-old with the leadership skills of a baboon

That will save anyone that has not read this thread going through 81 pages.

Since you have read it all will you recap for me what's happening in North Korea just now:D

I didn't dispute the length of the flag being halfstaff....it is the drama of down, up and down. He can't even handle such a simple thing properly and with the required dignity.

BTW the American Legion was the strongest proponent to have it lowered again on Monday. So, you are calling US veterans "Trump Derangement Syndrome sufferers". How nice!

How do you know the world will better off without McCain? Using your "spiritual powers" again to look into the future?

The "drama of up down," AGAIN, was not a result of the President improperly handling anything. Harry, do you think the President took an active role in this situation before people started protesting ? This is a perfect example of Trump Derangement Syndrome. He's the President. He has far greater responsibilities. White House staff followed protocol. How can you say he didn't handle things properly? He LISTENED to the outcry and remedied the situation. It was a very compassionate and dignified response. He does this sort of thing a lot. For example...

You can't fake this kind of intuitive behavior. He touched this disabled vets face to greet him. It is obvious why he did this, but seriously, how many people do you know would do this? It makes me all fuzzy n shit.

Less than perfect trump, yesterday, said that his interview tape with Lester Holt was fudged cuz the media is so dishonest.

This is the tape where he admits he fired comey over the Russia thing. Now he is say8ng that the tape got fudged meaning it was tampered, edited cut in a way that made him look like he is saying those words.

Isn’t it odd that he would say this?

And did you notice that everyone else lies except trump according to trump.

No. What is noticeable is that people cherry pick bits and pieces from the information provided them to suit their narrative. Why use logic and common sense ? Neither the MSM nor James Comey have any bias against Donald Trump. right? They've never been caught lying or leaking classified information, have they? Give me a break.

THERE IS NO RUSSIAN COLLUSION EXCEPT BY HILLARY CLINTON AND OBAMA AND THEIR ENTOURAGE OF MONEY LAUNDERING, HUMAN TRAFFICKING, ORGAN HARVESTING, GUN DEALING, URANIUM GIFTING, NATIONAL SECRET SELLING PAY TO PLAY MINIONS..

I know. All conspiracies. Pfft.

President Donald Trump accused NBC News of altering the tape of an interview during which he cited the Russia investigation as a reason for why he fired James Comey as FBI director.

In a series of tweets Thursday morning, the president railed against the media and took aim at NBC, seeming to accuse the network of "fudging" an interview he gave last year, just days after he abruptly fired James Comey as FBI director. Trump offered no proof of the claim.

"What’s going on at @CNN is happening, to different degrees, at other networks – with @NBCNews being the worst," the president tweeted. "The good news is that Andy Lack(y) is about to be fired(?) for incompetence, and much worse. When Lester Holt got caught fudging my tape on Russia, they were hurt badly!"

NBC News declined to comment.

Two days after the May 9, 2017, dismissal of Comey, Trump told NBC News that, while Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein had endorsed Comey's firing, he would have taken the same action even without the recommendation — and he cited Russia as a reason. (No. He did not. These words are NBCs spin to make Trump look like a liar.)

"And, in fact, when I decided to just do it I said to myself, I said, 'You know, this Russia thing with Trump and Russia is a made-up story,' " Trump told NBC's Lester Holt. "It’s an excuse by the Democrats for having lost an election that they should’ve won."

It was because of the lies.

Trump is the PRESIDENT. Do you think he is oblivious to what these people had in store for him? The deep state found themselves in a world of trouble with regard to the illegal FISA information gathering when Hillary lost. President Trump was given the one thing that could save him from their fuckery. Access to EVERYTHING. He has all the servers. He has all the NSA data. He knows Everything. I hate to keep repeating the obvious... but it feels like some of you keep forgetting that HE IS THE PRESIDENT AND THIS JOB COMES WITH SOME VERY EXCLUSIVE BENEFITS.

Not understanding...where is the tape being fudged. Trump claims the tape is fudged. He tweeted that. Or is the msm making that up?

I just watched the tape he says what they are saying he said. So don’t get your point.

Also, how is it possible that every single person is a liar except trump.

And don't forget.... not only are all liars, except Mr. T and his followers, but they are all out to get him, aren't they?

Playing the victim card all the time seems to work just fine with his rather naive base though.

We have seen Mr. T changing his phony stories all the time, e.g. Stormy, Don Jr., hush payments, etc etc. So nothing new.

One of the most interesting points for me and something the trump haters don't ponder is why most of the mainstream media and washington establishment are so anti trump? Do you think the msm and washington elite are the good guys, pushing for and carrying out wars of agression for the last 20 years? why do these same people who would happily lie to their audience to promote war in places like afghanistan, hate trump so much?

Everything in the story so far re the russian collusion could be concocted to try and smear trump, the cia could have easily hacked hilary's server and left russian footprints as a plan b/insurance in case donald wins the election [which he did] their main objective now is to stop him winning a 2nd term.

I'm not Trump's biggest fan and can certainly see some his faults but I think there must be bigger issues at stake for all the bile aimed at him, is it because he is a nationalist something obama, bush and clinton before him weren't, so if he wins a 2nd term the agenda of promoting world government/globalisation is set back?

Gesus H! Staaaawp! You guys and the constant nit picking... Ugh! It's never ending. And it's never about anything important. I'm beginning to think of you two in my mind as unmarried bitter old cat ladies.. You don't have anything to say about my Carter Page post? Now THAT'S incredible news, don't you think?

What nit picking.

I asked a question.

Where is it fudged?

As for carter page fisa hearings....judicial watch. ...Hahahaha.....extreme conservative group with a penchant to promote conspiracy theories.

So judicial watch are distorting whatever info they received to suit their narrative.

Do you know what constitutes a hearing for the fisa court?

The FISA court is a U.S. federal court whose purpose is to review and rule on search warrant requests made under FISA. Each year, the FISA court is required to provide a report to Congress of its activities. These

include the number of requests made under FISA, but not the content of those requests. That content is not a matter of public record.

2. How is FISA court different from other courts?
FISA court is not like a typical criminal court.

First, Department of Justice officials seeking a warrant

or is about to happen. That sort of evidence, also known as probable cause, would be needed to obtain a typical search warrant in criminal court. Instead, officials only need to provide evidence that the target of surveillance is a foreign power or agent of a foreign power.

Second, investigators can conduct surveillance for up to a year

if authorized by the president. For this to occur, the U.S. Attorney General has to certify to the court that there is minimal risk that the investigation will turn up information about U.S. citizens. The U.S. Attorney General must also certify to the court that the target of the investigation is a foreign power or an agent of a foreign power. These requirements parallel what Department of Justice officials would need to demonstrate in FISA court in order to obtain a FISA court warrant.

Third, the FISA court is closed to the public. Unlike a criminal court, there is no jury and the government is the only party present. In other words, FISA court proceedings do not involve prosecutors and defense attorneys arguing on behalf of clients. The FISA court is simply hearing the requests of officials seeking search warrants. This is very similar to what happens when local law enforcement officials seek a search warrant.

I’m sorry. Still don’t see where the fudge is.

And what part is illegal?

Which part.

You are not answering the question.

But that is typical, muddling the issue with your whataboutisms, and other unrelated stuff

No democrat except the right wing idea of a democrat wants open borders or anything else you quote.

Nobody is anti-US president, but a lot are against Mr. T's behaviour. Just go and listen to his latest rally speech. You think he lives on a different planet! ... Everybody lies, everybody is cheating him out of something, everyone is after him, everyone wants just bad things for America., etc. etc. ....except the mighty new messiah Mr T himself, he speaks the truth and will save everyone.

It has been the same with Mr. T ever since he made his first appearances in the 80's. Lies, deception, cheating, exaggerations, conspiracy theories...you name it. The crazy part is that a good chunk of the US population actually believes the stuff he spouts every day.

Very interesting also to follow his Twitter feed a little. Every conspiracy theory, anti-democrat flawed story or any other stupidity his cronies on The Daily Caller, Fox News etc are peddling to their viewers/readers/listeners is within minutes in a tweet from Mr. T. And all of it of course without any evidence or facts whatsoever. You just can't take him serious. He watches more TV than actually doing some work of a US president.

Now let's take him serious for a second, but not longer:

- he claims he has done more than any other president: to date the only proper legislation is the tax cut. Everything else has been only rolling back legislation from previous presidents, mainly Obama. And most of it via EO.

I have yet to see proper policy changes that he has initiated that actually make lives of the US citizens better.

You're a straight up nutter. Do you not hear yourself? You go too far. It's an endless point for point pissing match with you. I'm not obligated to do anything that suits you. I already said what I wanted to say. I don't give a rat's ass if it's not sufficient enough of an answer for you... I had shit to do. I wasn't avoiding the convo because you backed me up into a corner with your" expert information." I was just trying to disengage with a little humor so I could go on about my day. Incredible.

I think these are fair points but I don't think CNN, washington post, new york times, nbc etc.. are constructively critiquing donald's policies and actions in a similar fashion.

Trump proposed to build a border wall between the us and mexico and he's accused of being a racist when it could be he just wants to cut down the amount of dangerous mexican criminals coming across into the USA, of course this is unfair on the good mexicans but the american president's priority has got to put his own citizen's interest first.

I would prefer the US president to be as intelligent as an ivy league professor, and to act according to good moral principles, whereas Trump is a brash, crafty new yorker so he wouldn't be my ideal candidate but in some ways his predecessors like G.Bush jr and billy boy clinton were worse and despite getting an easier ride from the mainstream media didn't really achieve anything either for the average american.

Even the correspondents on british mainstream tv get all hysterical and pumped up when they're doing a report from the US that involves Trump, I just don't get it, why don't all the media outlets help Donald be a better president for the rest of his term by giving him some constructive criticism and interesting policy ideas, it would be a more logical, patriotic and sensible use of their energy.

No one is even remotely trying to make you do anything.

I am far from being a nutter or trying to get into a pissing match with you. Far from it.

My responses are clear. Unlike the ones you posted At least to me, I was trying to understand. Sorry I may have just said can you be more clear I don’t understand What you are saying.

I apologize.

I have a few moments so here you go. But just so you know, I'm not getting sucked into this type of point for point discussion again.

I’m sorry. Still don’t see where the fudge is.
I already posted my opinion. The fudge is contextual. Holtz was twisting the President's words, making it seem as though Russia was his answer- when Trump actually said "The Russian collusion story was made up. It was an excuse used by Clinton base to excuse losing. ( to paraphrase) I also think that if Trump meant his tweet in a literal sense... it's probably true. That is my opinion. Nothing more. Nothing less. It is neither right nor wrong. It is simply an opinion.

And what part is illegal?
If you don't understand basic Constitutional rights..I'm not interested in taking this conversation further.
The FISA court governs an illegal spy operation. Their prodeedures and rulings are irrelevant because everything they do is UnConstitutional.

Which part.

Penn asked whether respondents “support or oppose building a combination of physical and electronic barriers across the U.S.-Mexico border.” Sixty percent (92 percent
f Republicans, 39 percent of Democrats, and 54 percent of independents) supported the barriers, while 40 percent did not.
Sixty-four percent said illegal aliens should be sent home and thirty-six percent said they should be allowed to stay. A staggering 53 percent of Democrats polled, however, believe that any immigrant that makes it to America’s borders should be allowed to stay.
But despite Democrats saying they are against open borders, the majority of their base says otherwise.

#abolishICE

Cuomo has been pushed increasingly to the left on a range of policy issues, including immigration enforcement, by his novice political opponent, who has referred to ICE as a “terrorist organization.”

Prominent Democrats, including Senators Kamala Harris, Kirsten Gillibrand, and Cory Booker, have begun to advocate the abolition of ICE

I'm also wondering what other barmy ideas and scheming she's got instore for us, the alternative is comrade corbyn, maybe they should have a dance off on live television come the next general election

American's don't suffer the same ignominy as us over here.

Theresa May, 'dancing'

Isn't there a song about dancing like no one is watching? That's impossible for world leaders. We're always watching. I hope she never stops dancing, singing, or eating in public because what good are our leaders if they feel forced to hide their humanity? Maybe this is why people call the Queen a Reptilian? hahahahah.

Gotcha

The vast majority of illegal immigrants and smuggled drugs come through the normal entry points. Plus the US has already about 1,000 miles with a wall or high fence structure. Those were the areas where it was deemed necessary. More walls will have little to no impact, CBP agents, Mexican smugglers, experts - all say it.

- Mr. T wants to spend 25 Billion because he promised it to his base as he has built up an atmosphere of fear against everything that is not 100% white - e.g. illegal aliens, terrorists, Muslims, etc.
- At the same time, he freezes wages for federal workers, saying the US budget does not allow it. That's the very same people who patrol the border, chase illegal aliens inside the US, hunt down terrorists etc.
- Plus he cut already significantly the education budget.

So is that a president who wants the best for the US???

One of the best examples of his actions where it tries to spin it in a way that he is doing such great things is NAFTA.
- he announces with big fanfare that he signed a new deal with Mexico, the best, most sophisticated ever in the world!! He hasn't, it is only a preliminary agreement with little to no changes when you read through the blueprint Lightizer released
- at the same time, he blasts Canada for agricultural tariffs and threatens to leave them out. First the systems are totally different, Canada is working with a quota system and the US is subsidizing its farmers directly. So the latter overproduce by a lot and Canada will not allow more in without high tariffs as that would destroy the quota system. But Mr. T never mentions that about 73% of US farming is subsidized, he only mentions how bad the Canadian system is in his narrow view.
- Mexico stated multiple times that they will not sign without Canada.
- He threatens auto tariffs and with other things on his friendly neighbour which is the biggest export market for the US.

So is he working in the best interest of the US? Hardly.

Mr. T thinks everything he does deserve an A+, is the best, biggest, most tremendous ever. So he is not taking any criticism, no matter how constructive it is.

- Google "Velshi&Ruhle Tax Cut" and listen to how they dissected the legislation constructively. Velshi is a former Wall Street banker, so she was all-in for the tax cut. Did anyone listen or did Mr. T slam them as useless? - just one example
- When the news came out that the Puerto Rico death toll was revised to some 3,000, Mr. T said: "We did a fine job".

So will he accept constructive criticism? Certainly not.

As for racist, we talked rather fiercily in the other thread about the first year's picture with his interns and there were three non-whites on it. He got a lot of criticism for that. Now, look at the picture for the second year interns, which BTW, the White House simply did not publish or release. You can see the reason as you might need a magnifying glass to find non-whites.. Any more doubts that he isn't a pure racist? The US population is about 50% white and 50% other colors and ethnicities. Please try and find the non-whites in the pic. You can also compare it to Bush's and Obama's interns to see the difference.

Yeah, particularly the freezing of wages struck me as totally unfair but, admittedly, very consistent with all his other policies.
I read several tweets praising this as if to say they thought all federal employees are clock milkers that don't deserve the wages they earn. smh... At first I thought they were being sarcastic. Turns out... no.

That's a big post covering a lot of ground, too much for me to reply to as an outsider I don't watch or read all the US mainstream media, I'm just talking from my impression of events. I think Trump does exaggerate his achievements and deals like North korea as a way of countering the tidal way of negative coverage he receives, otherwise he's a dead man walking, the only time the mainstream media sang his praises was when he launched cruise missiles into syria at the time of his meeting with the chinese premier, so they liked him when he killed syrians.

On the intern issue, what percentage of the 50% non-white population of america is committed to the mission of the Trump administration as that is one of qualifying criterias for the internship program?

Also I'm not sure Trump hand selects the candidates, but of course race and physical characteristics in general like ginger hair can be a unfair factor in any selection process in life, it is in the UK and all over the world, look at the house of parliament or lords, I don't think we've ever had an mp from a chinese background and only a few from the other ethnicities that make up britain now, is it something to get upset and excited about though?

It would be interesting to see if the intern photos from bill clinton's two terms contained a more representative percentage of non whites [50%?], considering they also tend to vote democrat more than republican.

Edit: just to clarify, unfair selection processes in life are something that shouldn't happen, decisions should be based on merit alone for the role involved, but I meant the makeup of parliament is per se not worth getting all riled up about, as regardless of race or gender most politicians do very little to improve life for the average person.

Mr. T has been exaggerating and lying about everything in his life even before he received much media coverage. Read up on some stories from the 80's and 90's. So he used the media extensively to advance his popularity. To now cry wolf every day, is rather hypocritical. Most of what the media reports is the truth, the only thing is that some outlets spin small stories into day-long discussions.

Mr. T claims he has the highest approval rating of all presidents among latinos and non-white Americans (BTW, of course not true). That surely should reflect then among the interns. Trust me, people like Mr. T control every little thing that happens around them. And he is all about visuals, so you would assume he would ensure to create the right mixture, but he doesn't. He focuses on witheness, can you see how many non-whites are positioned around him? These photos get taken by professionals, they know exactly the impact.

dīvide et imperā, America is divided along lines of race, identity and background, can they be removed from people's mindsets totally I don't think so, better for those in power including the press/television to focus on areas that can be practically improved: crime, poverty, education and health.

All the energy politicians and the media spend on promoting things like the lgbt community while much more serious problems get sidelined is where we're at in the west, so things like 'the nfl players were kneeling during the anthem' gets chewed over ad nauseum, then the subject gets switched 'he's a russian agent, working for putin' hysteria all day long, we're getting it here with corbyn now. I've been on this planet long enough to spot propaganda, and we're getting bombarded with it, sometimes subtle but mostly not.

I'd welcome an improvement on Trump, but I can't see anyone new and different coming up to challenge him. Donald is 72 years old, how many 70 year olds could cope with all this daily flak and derision, he is a strong character, that's probably the scottish in him. I've never seen a high profile politician not exaggerate over their record or performance in office, lie using statistics etc... its part of public relations which has slowly taken over politics sadly, Trump does it in a very brash and obvious way whereas others go about it in a more sly way like our pm saint Theresa, at the end of the day most if not all politicians mislead or downright lie to the public.
