Watching News24, and all the interviewees in the street favour Trump.

Some of their reasons are:
  • Dems want a Packed Senate
  • Dems want to make Washington DC a state, which will give them 2 Dem senators in perpetuity
  • Dems want to Make Puerto Rica a state, again which will give them another dem senator
  • There is a dislike/fear of "China Joe"... or was that "Joe China".
  • Trump is truly making America Great
  • Trump is not afraid to take a stand against the rest of the World.

In the Poll, I voted for Trump winning - and nothing I am seeing on the News at the moment looks like changing that position.

My personal view is that if Trump wins, the USA will implode in on itself, as never before in the course of history has the country been so divided.

An imploding USA will be great for the world. Hello Russia and China

For your gloating remarks. Wait until trunp wins at the very least.
You know @Steviedoo i won’t.

I should due to the conduct and attitude of many on here over the years, but silence is often golden.

that said we don’t know the winner, should joe biden win then I’ll come on here and take whatever is thrown at me (won’t report anyone like many have here as they disagree)

I’ll take it all happily.

can the democrats say they would behave the same? Not a chance in hell..

i was banned from here as my opinion didn’t fit the general narrative.

The intolerance and hatred comes from one side, it’s certainly not mine.

I was using trump like language.

‘like the world has never seen’

it’s tongue in cheek, I’m joking... no, despite what many think I’d genuinely get no pleasure gloating at other members, rolling my eyes or belittling them just because of politics.

as said we don’t know the results, but I’ll not skip to work happy tomorrow if trump wins knowing people here are pissed off, I’ve more important things to be concerned about.

You’re a good guy. We will all be civil.
Eye rolls are not that offensive.

I’ve no issues with anybody.

must get to bed however. Going to be shattered in the morning.

And nothing offends me, it’s the manner in which people treat others that sometimes I don’t find very pleasant.

as my mate @ternur touched on earlier, nobody wins here... it’s a sad state of affairs these two are the best the great USA has to offer..

What will be will be.

night all.

Why does not Trump go to Ohio instead?
A person has a much easier time traveling compared to a state.

Will the results be certain before all the mail-in ballots are counted?

If Trump wins, but loses the popular vote - again - I believe America will become a country-sized version of "Mississippi Burning".

First off, if he wins the Electoral College vote and the popular vote, then the Country, including the Democrats should - and must - accept his victory, because this is democracy at work.

But, if once again, he loses the popular vote, then what will be the reaction of Americans? I can imagine carnage far worse that that which followed his 2016 win, particularly as there has been so much violence in the USA over the past few months, as Left battles Right.

"Trump, meanwhile, would be egging it all on, first from his Twitter account — "I told you the left was dangerous! They want to destroy the country!" — and then by sending in the national guard and other paramilitary groups to try and impose "law and order" with bullets and batons. A president whose greatest political talent is "triggering the libs" will have finally provoked a genuine conflagration." Damon Linker (Political Writer).

And that reaction, I fear, is a very real possibility, and one which really would tear the country apart.

Trump campaign calling for all the votes to be counted in Arizona. Let’s see if he feels the same way about Pennsylvania.

I thought it was confirmed Biden had won AZ?

Watching the CNN Election projection broadcast, and it is not looking that healthy for Biden, I'm afraid.

Arizona was called by Fox for Biden. All the votes were not counted apparently.

the mail in ballots lean democrat. Georgia has yet to count all the votes. same for Pennsylvania
They stopped counting.
I wouldn’t declare trump a winner yet. All the votes need to be counted.

the worrisome part. Trump won Ohio. Only three times has a winning president not won Ohio.

The democrats were hoping that this would be a repudiation of trump. It didn’t happen. It’s soul crushing.

michigan Wisconsin and/or Pennsylvania will decide the election

upwards and onwards.

He seems a bit worried over the mail in ballots.
Also he declared in an earlier tweet that he had won.

He's about to take the podium; maybe it's to wish both parties good luck, and a call for unity across the country :D

That would be such a classic Trump move.
Always the gentleman.

Guess we will see what happpens.
Looks like it will be close, and will be a shitshow whichever side wins.

Highly unlikely the remaining ballots will be counted in the next couple hours. So, technically Biden could still win but the odds are in Trump's favour to take the election.

Still, stranger things have happened, and all in all, ridiculously close over all

No matter how you slice it, whomever wins, one Hell of a divided country.

Yes, and to me, this is the most hypocritical thing he's said in this election, on the one hand claiming that the counting of mail-in ballots should be stopped and on the other favouring the opposite for AZ, where Biden is leading.

Trump declares Victory.

So we we go with the Sideshow.

Im sure it would go down well with the public if he just stopped counting and declared himself dictator.
=)

Sounds like he is really worried about losing if every vote is counted.
Why else would he do something like this?

bbc

Could Donald Trump try to contest the results of the election?

Yes. Both campaigns have said they're already preparing for legal disputes following the election.
They have a right to demand a recount in most states, usually if the result there is tight.
There's been a surge in postal voting this year, and it's also possible that the validity of these ballots could be challenged in court.

These lawsuits could make their way up to the US Supreme Court - the ultimate legal authority in the US.
This happened in 2000, when the Supreme Court stopped a recount in Florida and ruled in favour of Republican George W Bush who became president.

Millions of ballots yet to be counted in Pennsylvania.

If Biden wins I'm fully expecting Trump to go to the SCOTUS. There's no doubt in my mind.

I wouldn't object to postal votes [save army ones] being given the once over, there needs to be confirmation that everything is above board, that the people exist and voted via the mail in option. Because an anonymous system is open to abuse I would have thought, but if it's unorganised and small numbers probably makes no difference.

I think the bush gore thing came down to 60 voters or something small iirc [without using wiki] I can't see it being only 1 area that is highlighted this time.

I can see a plus sign in a biden presidency in that the media soap opera can be closed down, it's been unremitting for 4 years, gonna be interesting times what he does with his presidential powers.
