youre probably the only member here whod love to hear a woman say 'OoOOh I really love the feel of pooh all over my body'
You would be suprised about how small a roll Pooh plays in my everyday life.
:)
Tho i must admit, some honey may have snuck into the bedroom at some point.

"Look at those hands. Are they small hands? And he referred to my hands — if they're small, something else must be small. I guarantee you there's no problem, I guarantee."

Heh heh heh! See? You're ALL alike!

Stop trying to keep me and Kelly apart Dio.
It wont work. Ever read Romeo&Juliet?
You trying to keep us apart will only make our love stronger.
lol um...you do remember they both die in the end, right? :P

Well duh.
Thats how humans function Dio.
First we live, and then in the end we die.
You shouldnt let that get in the way of love Dio.

lol, well, tbf, it's a little hard to conduct a train that hopped the tracks, ploughed across the country-side, ran amok through several cities, crossed an cocean and even orbited the moon once or twice.

The 250+ plus page N. Korea thread hasnt been about N. Korea since page 3 back in Aug 2018......a year and a half ago

Kroffe did you get one of these leaflets " If Crisis or War Comes " ...what prepping measures have you taken so far for a potential russian invasion/war?

Nah, but they know me.
Im always prepared for war.

But really, what was that?
Skipped thru it.
Were they interviewing doomsday-preppers?

It was a single mum [nurse] and her family prepping for some crisis or war, she seemed really into it, a bit like a hobby. And a single guy with 2 years worth of food.
plus a bit about school lessons - teaching the children to be ready.

It seems a bit odd to me, if the alert level has risen this high what's it going to take to lower it back down? Putin popping his clogs I guess, otherwise you'll need to be prepping for the next 10 years or more.

I think that show managed to cherrypick things to make it look like we were on some high alert.

We have this thing we for some reason call "hamburger meat"
Its smoked horse meat.
I mostly opt for some kind of ham, so its been a while since i ate some, but its really good.

Well, one can never have too many of those.
Id rather stock up on meatballs tho.

Would not visit Sweden for the food since you do not even eat real chips.

But would go there for the scenery and wildlife.

Wolves , Arctic foxes , Bears , Beavers , Reindeer you have it all.

All we see here is the squirrels i feed chocolate and biscuits and the many foxes and deer.

yeah in a way that's what made me post it, it didn't ring true, although the govt did send out that leaflet advising people to prep, I found a few other youtube channels and vids to do with prepping, places like canada. Maybe it's a cold climate thing, because if the electric goes off you could be in trouble in a relatively short space of time.

Yeaaah, about that.
I live where all of those animals hang out, and you dont really see them all that much.
Foxes and reindeers yes, but bears, beavers and wolfs i can count on one hand the times ive seen during my life so far. And im out in the woods more than most.
Unless you are a ninja, most animals will just hear or smell you while you are miles away and avoid you.
I guess beavers can be found somewhat easily if you are prepared to follow a stream until you find a dam.
Then its just a matter of waiting.

And chocolate is no good for squirrels.
It contains Theobromine (same thing making it toxic for dogs).
While squirrels are a bit smarter when it comes to chocolate (not eating it until they die) its better to give them something else.
:P

Yeah, i know they have a recommendation for how much food, water etc one should have on hand.
But like you say, thats more to do with things like losing electricity, water etc, and not so much to do with war.
I usually keep quite alot of dried stuff around, like rice, pasta etc.
But thats because im lazy, and to avoid having to go shopping all the time, i buy in bulk when i go.
:P

hell, I'm Canadian and I think ive only ever seen one beaver
truckloads of deer, foxes and coons, several bear

Yeah, beavers you kind of have to go looking for.
Most of the others you may see while out driving etc.
Thats the only time ive ever seen any bears.

But they seem to be around, because every now and then when i go shopping people are talking about bear-encounters.
Maybe they run and hide when im about since its so clear im the Alpha-bear.
:P

Do you like oven chips?

The Scots are the connoisseurs of the chip :eek2:

I found this site a while back, I must admit the food looks a lot more wholesome than typical uk fare, I don't think you could do much better in a cold northern country, a fair bit of variety. Though it's true I can't see any chips anywhere

The only thing i would really recommend someone visiting to try is the Cheese pie made with västerbottenost.
Its a cheese thats made somewhat close to where i live, and its delicious. :P

Oh, and ignore the pictures serving the pie with fish roe/caviar.
I think its much better just by itself, or maybe with bit of Crème fraîche to mellow out the cheesiness
;)
If you check the website you can see the cheese is used in a bunch of different recipes, but pie is where i think it serves its purpose best.

That's funny I was going to mention that cheese pie, it does look nice. The good thing about that website it has all the instructions needed to cook the recipes yourself, I quite like the idea of making some swedish food.

edit: might be hard getting hold of the same ingredients though, never seen cloudberries in the uk, the cheese was available in waitrose apparently but can't see it now, I wonder if mature cheddar would be an ok substitute, failing that I'll just have a toasted cheese sarnie :p

Smoked horse meat and horsesteak is actually pretty good and healthier than cow-meat. We eat it regularly.
