Why oh why do I keep falling into the same old trap of this time is gonna be different on NetEnt slots? I took a break from NetEnt for about 4-5 months or something like that. I noticed they had released a new slot called Dracula so I thought I would give it bash. OMFG I so wish I hadn't, 3 deposits gone so fast I was in shock.
The folks at NetEnt aren't without a sense of humour by naming the slot Dracula, it may not drink you blood but it will certainly suck you bank account dry.

    Deposit number 1:

At Lucky Balls (stupid name for a casino, I know)
233 spins, no bonus, x10 bet biggest win and a payout percentage of around 46%

    Deposit number 2:

At Guts (yeah looks like I have a thing for casinos with stupid names)
189 spins, no bonus, x14 bet biggest win and a payout percentage of around 45%

    Deposit number 2:

    At Guts (again)
273 spins, no bonus, x17 bet biggest win and a payout percentage of around 51%

That's nearly 700 spins WITHOUT A BONUS LOL!! Enough is enough, there's just something dodgy about NetEnt slots. I just want it to be known how bad it can actually get.

Hi 700 spins in total but across 3 different casinos. Taken individually with such a small number of spins it is impossible to gain any proper stats from that.

It is pretty norm to go anywhere between 150 to 500 spins on med variance slots before hitting a FS round. They are lower variance games such as Steam Tower which kicks of free spins on a pretty regular basis. But at times it can go mean and make you wait ) Its the name of the game ... got to take the highs with the lows. But 189 spins at guts for example and not hitting fs well its totally normal happens all the time. And in no way can you call a software provider dodgy based on that 1 pretty small session. Not every one likes netent but its not bent software. If you had won you would not have been calling the software dodgy. It aint fixed its just luck.

I understand how frustrating this can be, but after my personal experiences of:

    1)
getting a x10 bet FS win after over 700 rounds of Gonzo's Quest at €1/round

    and

2)1200 spins of IR without a feature of any kind

    and

    3) about 500 rounds of Jack Hammer for free spins that paid €0.00

    ...

I don't mean to be mean or disrespectful but if sudden losing is emotionally too much for you to handle, you should try other things in life. Now, of course it's frustrating and all but c'mon...

Agree with the two posters before me, and would like to ask: are you saying you did not get the Bat feature once?
You do realize that the Free Spins Bonus in this slot is one of two? The only thing that those FS have going for them is that you get the Bat feature 12 times in a row, but the Bat feature is actually the main feature...where the majority of the theoretical RTP will come from.

Nothing more to add to what the previous posters have stated really....

It is too small a sample to draw any conclusions from in regards to your RTP.

You are the perfect demographic for what Notent are building their modern slot template on. Dracula is another step towards the perfect slot blueprint of a terrible paytable, fairly fast spins & scarce bonus features. I know we all have our favourites but you could do a lot better that play this Count of a slot:eek:

We all have losing runs SINwin it's part of being a gambler and gambling in general. Avoid new releases unless you have won a lot of money and have the cushion of a steady bankroll to fall back on if it turns out to be awful. As for the casino names I couldn't care less if it is called fruity loops casino if it's accredited by Casinomeister I'm quite happy! Guts is called Guts because you need Guts to play slots it's derived from the saying "No guts no glory" simply meaning if you don't have the balls to bet you won't reap the rewards.

Try a few games to find one or two you really like. When you have a go to game it makes it far more fun. :D

Net ent games have been extremely dry for me as well lately. Have skipped them almost totally, except the neccessary spins on new releases until all features have been experienced several times.

Dracula has not impressed me. Looks great and looking forward to the other upcoming legendary monster games, but especially the bat feature is completely useless. 90% of the time it doesn't give anything. And only once have I seen a decent win.

Would be a lot better if it was less common, but gave wins everytime. The main feature is also completely useless, as the bat feature is poop and the "Stacked wilds" are only on one reel and it doesn't ever land for me.

5 FS earlier from Unibet on StarBurst, Gonzo's and Twin Spin (15 total)

2+ hours play until I busted and the play was mainly Dracula so the count can pay, I had the bats (outside bonus round) about 20 times in 30 spins at one point so I upped the bet......

It was shortly after this I changed game and almost adopted the opinion of the OP.

The thing is it's not just the Dracula slot it's NetEnt in general that's paid poorly on a consistent basis for years. I just gave this as an example of yesterday's play. Like a say I've not played them for months but I thought I'd give them a little tickle to if anything had changed but sadly no, there just as gimped as ever.
A few years ago I used to play them all the time thinking they must pay sooner or later but no. The biggest win I had and I remember it well because it was the only one of its kind, it was 5 scatters on Pandora's (dirty box) for x500, it was on a bonus and I won it in the beginning of wagering and still didn't manage to cash out. Let me just stress that was from a good 3 years of banging my head against a brick wall too.
There's no other software like NetEnt on the market, it truly is a wicked beast and all those coming off a big win saying oh but it's just bad luck. I say to you just be careful because it WILL bite you on the bum it's just a matter of time.

One of the biggest problems with many Netent releases is their as dunover would call it "Netent-variance" a mixture of "no possibility to win big" and "tons of dead spins". This combined with low-rolling is a guaranteed bankroll burner (or sucker).

However something Netent-games sometimes also deliver is frequent features with decent wins (x50-x100).

Yes it's not something breathtaking happening there and yes many WMS, Playtech and MGS games pay much bigger BIG HITS - however you should really do your homework and inform yourself by playing in fun-mode or reading pages like slotscomparer.com about variance and stuff.
What you can definitely not expect from most of their (recent) releases is something that brings you a big kickstart just from the getgo and you can just gamble with your winnings thereafter. It's mostly a gradual losing or winning (Yes, mostly losing).

So you can either pick games like DOA, Wishmaster or JATB for a certain big hit potential which will often even quicker eradicate your bankroll or increase your bet-size considerably to get where you want to get.

I know one thing from earlier on if you want a slot that can retrigger many times. Magic Portals did just that on Bonza slots tournament for me. I lost count after it did it about 13 times. Must have had about nearly 200 free spins from it. Should have won £50 cash prize if my 89,550 score held quite poor considering how many spins but not caring as it it's fun money! I'll be playing that game more often in cash now though I've seen it go mad with the retriggers on blathaons vids and on bonza but not like that! nearly every time the free spin locked in the portal the other lined up on the right! Insane!!:eek2:

On a true random slot it doesn't matter if he played 700 spins in a row at the same casino or 1 spin in 700 different casinos. He went 700 spins without a feature, which is uncommon but not extremely rare.

Actually the "norm" for most slots is in the 150-160 spins range. That doesn't mean that you can't go 1000 spins without getting one. You can also get it 3 times in a row.

That being said, I don't really trust the true randomness of NetEnt.

Yeah avoid Dracula - or just play it at a set amount of spins and if you don't hit a bonus round or x50 or so within that set amount of time/spin leave the game. In terms of payout its relatively poor compared to other slots that are out there and the risk to reward factor for dracula is in my opinion quite bad. Fall behind by alot in this slot and you will need to be chaining together bonus rounds and winning bat features to recoup - which I find highly unlikely. Or you could raise your bet and hope to hit something big fast - never happens to me ever with netent games. In a way this game is the same as Spinata Grande with a much harder to get bonus round but has a basegame feature which would be nice if the payouts were bigger.

There seems to be, in my opinion of course, a trend in recent slot releases. Based on my playing experience and my luck (which has been generally OK since last week)
    - Fancy animation and graphics to draw people in. The 'new' label on slots also probably catches peoples attention
    - More wins when playing but not wins that will progress your balance. What I mean is I feel like I get less deadspins now with the newer slots but the big difference is the wins are mostly small (usually x1 and under)
    - Lower paytable. Chances of x1000 wins are pretty much non-existant

If you want any decent return on your spins you will need to start risking alot more per bet (like 0.60p and onwards) and I find that too risky as a low roller. I think the way these new releases are now setup are to get the players to risk more to get bigger rewards (and also by risking more you lose more and faster if its all going south) and to try and cut out big winning potentials for low rollers by giving more cheap wins and less huge wins.

NetEnt games are not dryer than other games!!! It's ONLY about the variance.

    Example:

Over a few sessions i did over 2500 spins on leprechaubs luck (new mg slot)
    1x free spins = 7x bet
1x gold pot feature: 10x bet

I played 1000 spins in dracula
Countless bat features all between 0x and 70x bet
11x free spins all between 15 and 120x bet!

It doesnt matter if you play NetEnt or MG or whatever. The only variables matter is RTP and Variance.

not very unlikely - over 700 spins - no bonus. do math...
suppose the slots bonus has 1/200 chance
every spin, the chance of not hitting bonus is 1-1/200

the chance of not hitting bonus in 700 spins is (1-1/200)^700~=0.02993 or almost 3%

so it is in the possible range but slightly poor result..., you shall do another 500-600, the chance of not hitting a bonus will be 1/1000 the you can question the result (still possible but not quite likely...).

    cheers

My experience with NetEnt : longest spins without feature

    DOA : 750
Jack and the Beanstalk : 850
All other NetEnt slots : 300 is very common .

Just take a 100% deposit bonus with 20$ , 40$ to play The Wish Master with 0,2$ stake to try the game . 250 spins , two features , both pay less than 10x stakes and bust !?

I have decided that I'll never play NetEnt slots again , with an exception of DOA . I think Microgaming slots like IR or Thunderstruck II had better gameplay ,I hit 200x-400x wins on these slots more often , and in the case I do not hit , the base game pays is much better so it give me more play time . With NetEnt , I often bust with 200x stake in just 15-20 mins
