Many Thanks From The Pirate

Nope - I'm referring in a general sense to the successful outcome of this disgraceful affair...but I doubt that RTG would dare renege on any agreement they have made with Cipher and Brian at this stage.

After having followed the entire issue and took the appropriate actions for my website, I am happy to know that a Pirate will be paid. :) The efforts of the whole community have "paid".

But something is not still clear in my mind... Is the ancient management of Hampton that has agreed to paid, or the potential new owner? I have not followed completely the end of the issue.

Anyway, Pirate, congrats! That is a hell of money!!! Be sure to do not spend it all in one month... :D ;)

I hate to rain on everyones parade, but this isn't as happy an ending as you all make it out to be, as I stated above. this is a "settlement". TRANSLATION: Pirate is accepting less than he is owed in order to drop his claims against RTG, hamptons, and delanos, keep quiet, and just post publicly that the debt has been satisfied to everyone's satisfaction. If he was getting paid the full amount, this would be a publicity boon for all the parties involved and there would be no need to keep the settlement terms quiet. Of course, a week ago it looked like Pirate was getting zilch, so we all would certainly do the same. But, my guess is Pirate and his family are still being cheated out of close to a million or so. I know Pirate is reading this and probably agrees, but of course I understand how he cannot respond. Anyway, let everyone never forget the culprits in this fiasco.

As Rich Katz curls his little dog tail between his legs and scurries off into the horizon, this chapter closes, the smoke clears, and a long awaited resolution occurs. The good guys cock back their hats, cradle their shotguns in their arms, nod in agreement and watch the sun set -- their silhouettes fading to black.

And as I watch the credits roll, and munch on the last remaining kernels of popcorn, I sit in my seat and pray there is not a sequel in the making...

And to everybody involved who has shown their appreciation, you're welcome.

MSNBC follow up?

Hey Bryan once the payments have actually been made to the Pirate don't you think it would be a good idea for you to contact that reporter at msnbc and see if he can do a follow up?

it would play well for all of us. Good job by the way.

Brian

You are very welcome, Cipher! This is a pure example of good prevailing. And a good example of the actual power of people coming together and working towards a common goal. I hope no one ever forgets that they do matter and that online casinos, and any business for that matter, WILL listen to the masses if you never give up! Congrats again to all involved.

Pray to your maker because you know it's not the end of casino's taking liberties.
