Well this is good news, but is still sad in that Pirate still obviously isn't getting the full 1.3 million, or the settlement terms would not have to be kept secret. Further, Pirate's original email did not state the settlement involved RTG, so I assume RTG isn't paying anything. I assume Delanos is probably paying around $50k (if they were paying the full amount, there would be no need for an undisclosed "settlement" involding them) and Hampton's probably is paying $250k or so (all they could probably afford without going out of business). I would also assume either Hamptons was sold or at least is being required by RTG to assume new management. But of course, I really have no clue and am just guessing, and of course I understand the need for Pirate to keep quiet about the terms. I hope he got at least $500k, but we'll never know.
And there is one more thing to say: originally, everyone (including myself) chided Pirate for 1) being too vocal on these boards initially, and 2) baiting Lewin by "admitting" to the robot. WELL, being vocal was good because this board was all Pirate had (despite what many people said, a court is not the place to resolve this as courts do not enforce internet gambling debts), AND by Pirate baiting Lewin he got Lewin to state stupid stuff about the mouse movements, which proved to be Hampton's UNDOING and caused RTG to step in. So maybe Pirate was smarter than we thought after all.
And one more word of advice: next time you want to bet $10,000 a hand, try going to Vegas! cheers to you.
