Lucky Vegas 77 suspends operations...

I had this rather curious e-mail from them this-morning, with no prior warning:

"LuckyVegas77 operations are being suspended. Players and affiliates will be paid and when operations resume all deals will be in place and affiliates will still have their players attached to them, I will let you know when more information becomes available."

I guess this means any players with money in their account are now stuck and not able to withdraw it. :(

That is certainly interesting. It looks like you will still keep your money, though the question mark floats over the statement why are their operations being suspended? Be interesting to see what happens next.

Hi all,

Be assured that all players and affiliates will be paid, we will post the info on when that takes place here. All players with balances have been emailed and advised to withdraw their balance. Affiliate payments will be processed within the next few days and they will be notified by the netrefer messaging system that their payments are completed. As soon as I have any further information I will be posting here. Thank you.

What about the players?

They are CONSUMERS, and should really be sorted out before other business partners, such as affiliates.

If the reason for the suspension is so secret, players will quickly assume that you were about to "do a Purple Lounge" on them, and the LGA acted to pull your license now, rather than suffer yet another major scandal less than a month after the PL fiasco.

Hi all, players are being paid as we speak, regarding suspension this is a decision of management as they are considering a change of platform I will share more info as it becomes available to me. I will confirm when the last player has been paid, thank you.

Isn't that a bit premature, they are merely "considering", or is this a foregone conclusion.

It seems odd that a business would cut off their turnover whilst a decision is merely being "considered" about making a change to how the product is delivered. Whilst management are ruminating on the matter, the business has NO revenue, yet still has to pay staff, contractors, third party suppliers (web hosting, servers, processors etc).

What is worrying is this is how Big Casino first spun their decision to close altogether, and not too dissimilar to how Purple Lounge first explained the sudden loss of service. In one case players got paid, the other they got screwed. We are all going to be hoping that this case will result in players being paid.

There will be those who have time on their hands and be using this to research this latest development. If anything is unearthed that proves official statements to date have been lies to hide a "darker truth", it will have a negative impact on any relaunch on a new platform, especially if it is a software that "no-one has ever heard of before".

Well at least the rep is still talking, I would think I would be more worried if we didn't have an active rep on here at least talking about things. I would take a more aggressive and more worried approach to this situation if someone wasn't talking. I guess to me it's better than silence.

The final news is the business has been sold and I am no longer working there. the site has been taken down, don't know what the new owners will do with it. Thank you all for taking the ride with me and hopefully I will see you soon from a new place that is worth its salt and in line with my work ethic. Have a Happy New year all.
