Ladbrokes - The bombardment of pointless promotions.

Now I don't play at Ladbrokes (Sh**tebrokes) anymore, well unless I get a free bonus of some kind (which is never). But does anyone remember when Ladbrokes were right up there with the best of them?..... Ohh how the mighty have fallen!

Every day I get about three emails at least off them with the most rubbish, pointless promotions. Since the 1st of December across Ladbroke's Bingo, Casino, Sports and Games I have had 54 emails- Non of them have been remotely of interest.

Not only that, but the bonus terms they have I feel are disgraceful-

The Wagering Requirements for any bonus are as follows - you must wager at least twenty times (x20) your allocated funds plus your bonus amount, unless explicitly stated otherwise in the relevant supplemental Terms and Conditions. For example, if you allocate £100 and receive a bonus worth £100, you will be required to wager (£100 + £100) x 20 = £4000.

So imagine you deposit £30 and take for argument sake a £1 bonus- you would have to wager £31x20= £620 for that £1. Now I know the obvious thing to do would be not to take the bonus in the first place, but that just highlights how pointless the bonuses are at Ladbrokes.

Here is another one I received earlier today- Wager/Stake £30 and get five free spins

Are they trying to entice customers to play there or just make themselves a laughing stock to players? LOL!

Your thoughts on Ladbrokes please!

Ladbrokes are losing customers every day now. Seems like they have given up now as it has already been out in media how bad it is for them now.

Contstant barged with theses, 30% bonus ect, Its the worst I have came across in years, They do give the odd 5 spins now and than but what use is them?

It is like a robot has took over as this place used to be my umber one,

I can now also see why people are banging on about 32red, As laddys and 32 used to be the place to play, Now laddys al changed, It seems that 32 are working on things but in my eyes there was nothing to work on, If its not broke than try not to fix it

Absolutely! Since changing platform I believe it started going downhill for them. If they want some advice from me it would be the need to improve their customer service! That is what made me never go back there to deposit. Nobody on chat knows what they are doing, they take forever to give you an answer and even then they go on answered most of the time. I've had several occasions were they have asked me to email instead for them to look at my query and they have not once ever replied to my emails.

Then there is the fact that they also have changed their withdrawal times from what I gather from other players- so now for wallet withdrawals it is pending 24 hours rather than the previous six.

Their issue to me is they have forgotten how to treat customers with a level of respect in the form of good customer service, as well as stinking promotions attached to stupid wagering requirements. It is a real shame really, it was my first ever casino I played at and they once had my sole loyalty - until I found 32Red that is :D then my loyalty depleted a little more. Then they changed from MG- which is when the downhill patterns started to emerge for me personally.

haha it is in a way, some robot that just randomly assigns promotions. It just annoys me how someone at Ladbrokes thinks that any of the promotions are even remotely interesting to players. I take one look at each emails and then bin them, well if I am honest I have started to just bin them without reading them these days. hey just follow the same pattern of crap each time. I mean how the hell is 5 spins going to be of interest to any casino player? even the free one's are pointless as you just pointed out, the chances of actually winning anything on them is probably less likely than winning the lottery!

I suspect that in the upcoming year or two, if changes are not made to the way they deal with customers and supply promotions, they also will be in trouble. There is just too much competition out there in todays world of online gaming and the standards are very high for a lot of them. So when some casinos fall short like Ladbrokes, people just don't go back to them ever again.

Its carzy, Its as if they have left the gambling world, I trired ringing up & got put on hold to a indand call center? I got nothing wromg with that but please have abit of clue whats going on

Edit::: The only one that used to be going at the time was MrGreen, I had no I.D but they went out there way to help me, & I received my small withdraw, No problems, im good now and have been for a good while, But at the time I was gone for a few years and back as, normall, Mrgreem was the most helpfull site I ever played, & Alow I not play there much, I should do, This was b4 hey they came onboard here& B4 I came a boniefied member

In the past two years i have tried out quite a few casino's and i did use Ladbrokes when they had the MG slots but very rarely did anything run smoothly with them.I like others would be bombarded with e-mails that when you came to accept them were not available and customer service knew as much as my dog does.
For such a huge organisation they had become a very poor outfit and i am quite sure they have lost customers left right and centre.
I have never come on hear to slag a casino except for Ladbrokes and though i have not had an account with them for a while it does not surprise me they are still coming up with useless promotions.

Yeah, it is sad to see. I have an account with them but mainly because of the sports betting. I tried their online casino once or twice but hated it. They will always be the first bookmaker I signed up to though and always used to play online poker with them. Sorry to see them in this state.

I got this too. Must admit I did chuckle. Considering the size of the company, in particular the popularity of their sports betting, you'd think they'd be a little more generous in their casino offers. It's ridiculous, quite often I get an offer for their sports section and it's fairly decent - eg bigger odds on the outcome of a premiership football (soccer for those across the waters) match, yet a paltry 5 spins for depositing and wagering £30?

I closed my account there 5 weeks ago, since it changed to playtech it has been a complete hole of a place.

Live chat doesnt respond unless you click on it from the banking area (in other words they dont care unless you have trouble getting money into them)

Hundreds of pointless promotions all the time, remember some idiot is getting paid to come up with these?!?

I don't miss them, and I doubt I will. it was the first online casino I joined, but tbh It's a shitehole now.

I think they thought at the time changing software that more choice in games would mean that more players would play there. Incidentally they changed the way they provided CS to customers as well as changing the good promotions they once had. When will places like this see that above most other things that casinos offer, customer service is valued the most and if they have poor customer service, then they will have a flow of players going to them to spend there hard earned/won cash. It's simple business sense to me.

Does anyone know whether Ladbroke's customer service is outsourced or are the staff actually employed directly by Ladbrokes? Because sometimes I really do wonder about this. When you ask them a simple question regarding one of their promotions and they have no idea what the promotion is, then ask you to send them the link to the page, then when that still doesn't clear things up, they ask you to send the email to them with the promotion email in it. It just feels sometimes that it is a call center, that deals with multiple casinos on their behalf - if that makes sense.

Back in the day at least they knew what promotions they had on offer, but as per my original post, when you are sending out over 50 promotions a month then it probably does get confusing.

It is a shame really, because once upon a time I loved Ladbrokes! As many people did!

Shane,
As i said in my earlier post i had plenty of hassle with them. The last straw was when they were still a MG casino when i played with them.
Due to the fact you could deposit via the shops it suited me but trying to actually withdraw from the same shop i had deposited plenty of times became a nightmare and i felt like i was actually a villian trying to steal money from them. The last time i withdrew from a shop i actually stood in the shop for nearly an hour trying to withdraw a 100 euro. The manager of the shop told them on many occasion that she knew me and i had actually deposited with her the day before. So even before they committed suicide by changing provider i had decided to jump ship.

Lads was my "No.1" for many years too; they used to be absolutely the best for ongoing promos!

I don't know why, but things started going downhill a few years back. Then, when the last intelligent person left the building, they decided to switch from the most popular software on the planet to one of the most unpopular. :eek2:

It's not just the way they treat their players which is bad too - they also started doing really stupid and unfair things to their affiliates; e.g. they now impose NCO where there wasn't any for the previous 7 years (which means I have earned precisely $0 since January). It's got to the point now where I will stop listing them on my sites next year, unless there is a dramatic change of policy. This doesn't seem very likely as they apear to have their heads in a smelly place where they can't see very much... :p

It is genuinely a crying shame to see one of the best go down like this. It's pretty much the same thing that happened to Intercasino back in the mid-naughties :(

They have got a good range of slots now including netent,Its the lack of expertise that makes me stay away now days, I rarly play sports book or poker but when it comes to the casino side of things than it looks as if they just gave up, And after getting threw to the call center and after 45 minutes still trying to tell them my user name than that was the last straw for me,

minimum of 2-3 emails aday with a poxy 10-30% bonus is just stupid, I just cannot belive a good brand like that can turn into rubble, Hope fully they can sort out the promos and cs that actually no something than I think things can only get better due to the selection of slots now, Untill than I do not think I will be playing

Yes, the promos are often pointless. But what I don't understand is the fact that they keep pushing Playtech.
I mean, they added NetEnt AND WMS! That itself is worth dropping Microgaming. Why on earth are they not promoting this?

They need a good shake up, sometimes it really looks like the people in charge are completely out of touch.

well i just got a mail from them today that after 31/12 they are not accepting players from Faroe islands ?
first mail of that kind for me :) not that it matter though not been there since they changed platform :)

I do believe my latest offer qualifies for this thread...

Lmaooo This is my first laugh of 2015 were I choked up!!

This is the kind of ridiculous crap that makes me laugh but annoys the hell out of me. They value, as a customer, that much- that give you a petty, measly, stupid £1! LOL With a wagering of x5- as if you would actually win anything on it in the first place. I would leave them after that.

PaddyPower have done this kind of offer for me before, rambled on in the email how much they appreciated my loyalty and then gave me a £2 bonus- loyalty that has been insulted that is.

About 1 year ago exactly a Ladbrokes shop was opened in my local area, last month they closed down.

I was in store on the last day, i spoke to the rep behind the counter and asked why they were closing down.

He said the store was losing £40000 per year in profits, and that most of the profits(90%) came from the machines.
I said well whats wrong with the machines do they pay out too much?
He said 'no', nobody plays them they just come for the free tournaments and ask for demo play.
I laughed and said i'm glad this shop is closing down, i have an online account and your promotions are the worst for uk gambling.
I hate this place, even though i cant stop myself from coming inside and having a play on the machines i always lose!

Good riddence to ladbrokes i say, and their adverts suck aswell.

Whilst I fully understand your reasons for not liking Ladbrokes I think it highly unjust to laugh and tell their employee you're glad they're shutting up shop. Poor bloke has most likely no job. There's a time and place for slagging a company off. That wasn't it IMO.

The switch from MG has been a complete disaster but as mentioned couple that in with them changing their customer service (I believe) to the Philippines(?) but they just don't know anything.

I get offered daily bonuses but when you deposit into your account they never show up in your bonus store (why do you need funds in your account to show you eligible bonuses anyway?). I've now become tired of sending them screenshots of my screen when it's showing a bonus because the bonus store page doesn't update.

I'm actually still waiting on a bonus cashback credit from a slots promotion from the 15th of December! No reply for 2 weeks at all.

It's just a massive shame because of how good they used to be.
