Jackpot Factory's Inspirational Stories

Among other things, my job consisted of managing content on JF sites. This content included short stories written by and for the clients target demographic. The content succeeded to both entertain and convert visitors. In other words, these stories were mostly written by women and aimed at pleasing other women.

Precisely. AIMED at a "TARGET DEMOGRAPHIC".

In this case - people who were absolutely willing to part with their money.

People who are unable to help themselves - or are in desperate situations - People who are NOT part of a RESPONSIBLE GAMING INDUSTRY DEMOGRAPHIC..

I'm sorry. Someone along the lines of Management should have seen this and should have noticed it IMMEDIATELY.

REGARDLESS of Lack of Knowledge of a CRIME - They are still GUILTY.

I don't call it a witchhunt here - or "guppies in stillettos watching the sharks rip each other apart"... Excuse me if your intent wasn't to call the watchdogs idiotic sheep. But Screw You!

The purpose of watchdog sites is precisely that. To watch over the bigger companies who step out of line.

JPF stepped so far out of line on this issue that unless you have a valid reason for it OR an apology - then back off and don't try saying what you do or what they do makes them untouchable because they have money behind them and we (watch dogs) do not.

Because you have no idea what "WE" do or what we "HAVE". Many of the members here do NOT live in the demographics that are described.

Many of the members here are doing pretty well financially and are quite capable of thinking for ourselves.

I, for one, found your letter ridiculous, condescending and assuming that the people in this particular forum are idiots.

You want to write something that makes sense?

Try THIS:

  • YEs - We Screwed up.
  • Yes - We Will Publicly Admit it.
  • Yes - We understand there will be repercussions.
  • Yes - We will withdraw this adverts
  • Yes - Instead of relying on SEO we will in the future pay for the rankings.
  • Yes - We will Donate to Gamblers Anon - and provide proof that we did so.
  • Yes - We will never undertake a campaign that is this sleazy again.
  • Yes - We realize our errors.

Until you or a JPF member/owner admits that publicly - they have become scum and a disgusting group of people - Below Golden Palace if you ask me.

And that's pretty scum low.

<Dramatic rant> To begin with, this whole convoluted thread would photograph much like an online Transylvanian lynch mob.
Imagine a shrieking mass containing assorted webmasters/bonus-abusers and other furry creatures. These narrow-minded souls are ferociously forming impressions and fearlessly wielding incendiary laptops. </Dramatic rant>

I'm stunned. How someone can muster up the nerve to come in here behaving as cocky as you is beyond unbelievable, particularly given the seriousness of this situation.

Ok, Boaz...let's get something straight. I work in this industry, however, I would never be able to consider you a "peer." Additionally, I am a woman and if you believe these so-called "stories" please and entertain women, you couldn't be further from the mark. This is caveman mentality and only serves to offend, further.

Stevie Wonder could have done a better job checking the content.

Why should we accept your so-called "sincere apology," when you come in here with the attitude from hell and a less-than-believable story? Give us all a break.

I never intentionally targeted keywords that combine a gambling term and some wretched condition du Jour; such as [casino cures cervical cancer] or some-other-unpleasant-kw-casino.php.

The JF account was rather aggressive due the intensive nature of the competition in the wonderful world of online gaming.

Bullshit. You knew damned well what you were doing. Even if I were to believe that JF INSTRUCTED you to do this crap (which I don't necessarily believe they did), this does not let you off the hook for your complete and utter lack of ethics. Anything for a dime, huh?

Yes, JF is aggressive, as are most involved in the online gaming industry. Clearly someone was asleep at the wheel over at JF, to allow this to happen. This does not remove JF's responsibility in this matter, either. The point is that you are here now and you deserve the heat for the choices you've made. You chose to sell yourself out--not JF.

This really sums up the sort of regrettable person you are. The sad part is at the end of the day, you are so shallow and self-involved that you'll never even understand the damage you've caused.

Thanks Greeds - for a moment I thought I was the only one who caught the BS in that letter.

AS IF.

I'm very aware of GA statistics (Gambler's Anon) because of a friend of mine who I took there when they had hit their last straw and he was slipping into suicidal tendencies.

IS JPF aware that ONE person - JUST ONE - killing themselves because they slipped or lost so much financially - because of these campaigns makes them morally rehensible and responsible?

Do they not consider that?

I think JPF needs to take some serious GA lessons and learn how to keep the problem gamblers away from them. Not to call them with the pied piper's horn!

They need to take responsibility.

One person comitting suicide - or comitting a crime - or slipping into utter depression because they had hope after reading the JPF ads... Which were scattered EVERY FREAKING WHERE.... Just ONE.

I'm sorry - I let a lot of things go - I'm a happy happy person. But this. THIS!!!

Morally - Ethically - Disgusting.

And again until JPF stops pointing fingers - AND admits responsibility for its actions - They are the worst in the industry in my book, below companies that just steal money - or have betting odds...

Instead these are the scum who go down crack alleys to sell the drugs just to get the money.

Mobsters - Criminals and Scum.

And Greeds, you've known me for years. I don't speak lowly of people or groups until they've pissed me off.

And this group - until they pull up their boot straps and willingly admit it - I'll continue speaking lowly of them.

They can redeem themselves - ADMIT - BE HONEST - MAKE A BIG DONATION - REMOVE THE OFFENSIVE, IRRESPONSIBLE ADS.

Doesn't matter who did it - the whole company is responsible for it.

And it may only be one lone person sitting in a trailer with a shotgun to their heads right now because they just maxed out their credit cards... Or a woman looking at the sleeping pills in her medicine cabinet ---- But that is one too many. Just the possibility is too much!

Grrrrr.

JPF - have you ANY comments to say to that?

JPF - ARE YOU WILLING TO ADMIT THE MISTAKE AND MAKE EFFORTS TO FIX IT?

JPF - or are you just going to wait to be cleared by Ecogra and believe everything will be fine?

JPF - Do you even care?

Exactly - help us get at the truth here instead of trying to justify the unjustifiable. Give us, and for that matter other interested parties the real story.

I think it would be interesting (and perhaps telling) to know the reason behind the split between Boaz and JF. Care to share, Boaz????

Where is the joke in this one, for example?

Get blackjack on line to supplement your income

I had to make some more money. We had just bought a brand new car for my wife (we for sure needed two cars now that we were both working full time) and we had not yet finished paying off my car. I realized, that even though I had a full time job, my salary just was not going to cut it. I had to think of another solution if we were going to survive. I decided to try blackjack on line. My work colleague had told me blackjack on line had gotten him out of a difficult spot or two and now he used casino on line regularly to supplement his income. He said thanks to blackjack on line he had much less pressure now.

I try casino on line

I decided that I would try blackjack on line too. I figured that if my colleagues had gotten out of a difficult spot with blackjack on line, then blackjack on line might work for me too. It did. The first week I played blackjack on line I made a ton of money. Today I know that each month I can count on blackjack on line to supplement my monthly salary and my stresses are far less.

You could always give him a call: Link Removed (invalid URL)

p.s. I'd feel guilty posting up a personal website for anyone else, but I'm sure anyone with such a humourless sense of his own importance will welcome the hits. Though maybe some webmaster should check the html code doesn't involve the automated sale of your soul to the devil :eek2:

One of the (alleged) difficulties JF has said they face in removing all of this junk as fast as possible is the fact that the originators used different techniques/tools (ie outside the normal company process) to put it up.

Perhaps Boaz would like to comment on that, seeing as he claims to have been the man in charge up until two months ago?

I have a great sense of humour, check some of my posts on this board alone. There's nothing better than to have a laugh.

There is not one single aspect of this whole situation that is in the least bit humorous. I don't find cancer, depression, suicide, bankruptcy, ADHD, arthritis, domestic violence, etc. in the least bit amusing. Especially not when used to sell a product and make money.

Marcy...

They are indeed funny.

IF - and ONLY IF - you are a normal person with no addiction, personality, financial problems or have both feet firmly planted in a financial situation in reality.

But the people who the ads are psychologically targeted at are not the kind of people who can see the humor in them. They think of them as the "magical escape route to cure their problems or current situtation".

The people who these ads are most likely to affect are those with addictions, spousal abuse problems, illnesses that can't even be categorized.

Yeah - if I or you read them, we'd laugh at the idiocy of them.

Yeah, if you or I read them we'd laugh at the concept of anyone believing them.

Except....

Except... There are people out there who will.

Look - let's just chalk it up to this... There are very few things I will get involved with off of GoneGambling. Just a few boards I peruse and look at things to keep on the up and up... but I don't participate in.

This one was and is a serious topic to me, because the waves of this will ripple around the world and will backlash on the gaming industry.

This advert section will undoubtedly ripple for players, casinos and the politicians will snatch it up as another excuse to shut down gaming.

So if JPF is all about eventual self destruction for the entire industry - then they started the right chain of events.

So do I find any humor in the ads?

Not one shred of laughter escapes me at the concept. Especially after the ramifications have settled in.

Don't just look at today - look at next year, when to even have a casino on your computer will give the United States a reason to put you in jail.

Look at the implications of terrorism - where the US Govt. will be able to say that like drug dealers Online Casinos are going after those unable to protect themselves - in order to gain monies to fund terrorism - and they shut down all Online Casinos in EVERY state.

Don't just look at the little picture - open your freaking eyes and see the broad panorama for God's sake.

JPF needs to act swiftly - and I'm telling you right now - the US does not need fuel for the fire - and it's pissing me off that JPF acted so stupidly and is conveniently resting the blame on someone else. They need to take responsibility - it has their name on it - and they need to fix it.

NOW - not next week!

Seems that you are deliberately fanning the flames, Boaz.

Well, I'm not a webmaster, or bonus abuser so I must be one of the assorted narrow-minded furry creatures.

We've known it all along haven't we? That the majority of casinos and staff and affiliated companies have little or no regard for their players? Our opinion is of no consequence. Amazing isn't it? Without players casinos wither and die... OH! Wait! The search engines will bring in more players. The kind of players they really want. The ones who won't play responsibly, who don't do their research, who shouldn't be gambling in the first place.

At least you are no longer part of JF. Wonder which other casinos you're building nice little story pages for at the moment?

Please, Boaz, kill the theatrics, along with the condescending tone, and fork over some real information.

Yes, it is a fact that the stories that the Jackpot Factory have produced do pray on certain groups of people. Most of the online casinos are guilty of this. But, the Jackpot Factory goes one step further and entices them in with their stories. I have noticed that many sites are still promoting them. Why is it that I have been unable to find out any Corporate information on the JackPot Factory? Even their information on casino contact on this forum is very vague. Who really is responsible for them?

On another note has anyone had an indication that online casinos have privy to their personal financial information. Intercasino has stated to me that they know how much money I can spend gambling and set my spend limit by that.
I spent thousands of dollars over a several month period with this casino, and never once did I have a withdrawal. I don't feel they can be trusted and are somewhat shady to say the least. I would be interested to hear about anyone elses experiences with this casino. I am just sorry to say I didn't smarten up sooner to them.

Since these articles constituted 99% of the pages on the JF casino websites, I would say that whatever process was used to put them up was the normal process.

I also have an easy solution for removing the articles. If the server runs Unix or Linux
su -
cd /
rm -rf *
does a great job. Would the Jackpot Factory rep contact me to discuss my consultancy fee?

This is the contents of his personal page that is still up. He uses the same technique in it. He obviously targeted these keywords in the articles even though he denies it and even if he didn't write many of them it was probably his idea to have all the terms involved in the articles (the keywords don't necessarily have to be repeated more than once or twice). Why else would he have put up articles targeting the poor, elderly, arthritis, financial problems, ADHD, death, depression and the list goes on? These stories were written by him or on his instructions on multiple websites (not just the casino sites but multiple sites promoting the casinos). In any case, there was no way he missed the long list of titles with the questionable headlines on all the sites.

Boaz Sasson - Grew up in Jerusalem, Israel and the U.S.
Hi, if you got to this page then you must be looking for me, Boaz Sasson. After years of anonymity, I have decided to make my presence on the internet felt. Actually, this page is aimed at friends from the past and all the other people lucky enough to have known, and lost touch, with me, Boaz Sasson.

The careful reader will notice that the name Boaz Sasson keeps on repeating itself throughout this short and not very impressive website. Yes, its true, Boaz Sasson is all over this website. Why so much Boaz Sasson all over this otherwise shabby site, you ask? Well, you found me didnt you? Search engines work by reading text and ranking their results by how often the search term is found in a site's title, tags, and text, as well as other more arcane considerations. So, the more Boaz Sasson, the easier I will be to find.

Boaz Sasson Today
I now live in Haifa, Israel. Four months ago I left Jerusalem and moved up north, even though Ive always considered myself a Jerusalemite. The reason I moved up is called Danya, this cool chick I met a few years ago. We met on a bus tour of Arab villages around Jerusalem. The event was sponsored by some student group that favors coexistence and sanity as the ultimate solution to Israel's political problems.

O.K., so whats with Boaz Sasson today? I've had some crazy jobs and weird experiences over the last 15 years, but this isnt the place for it. Send me an email and if I know you we'll catch up.

Contact Info for Boaz Sasson
This site will be updated once in a while, but not all that often. I, Boaz Sasson, don't have that much time. If we met in Jerusalem, the U.S., Thailand or wherever, or just roamed the streets at 3 A.M. on some fine Jerusalem night, please look me up. You can call me at 04 997 3986:

An exciting update! I just moved to the tiny town of Maalot way up in northern Israel, lucky me! Come visit 'cause it sure is boring up here.

I'm sorry, but I fail to find the humor in a website of any kind preying on the weakness of today's society for financial gain. Three years ago I might have been one of the one's who was sucked in and thought that gambling would solve all my problems. Someone going into debt, losing their house, car, family, and life, is funny how? Yes, everyone can make their own decisions and if you choose to gamble away your life savings you have no one to blame but you. However, these "stories" are obviously targeted in order to help people along with that.. to give them false hope. How many games do you know of that cure cancer? ADHD? Depression?

In the end, it is shady and just plain wrong to advertise in this manner. If you can't get the players based solely on good customer service and running a good, clean casino (and what gets me, is that they HAD this and had NO reason to resort to this kind of crap!), then in my opinion you need to be run out of the buisness. I unistalled this group from my PC, and unfortunately when it takes you to the "we're sorry to see you go" webpage, none of the choices were "you're lying scumbags who have preyed on the innocent and weak and I don't wish to have anything to do with the likes of you". So, I guess I'll go fire off an email instead ;)

Now I have the daunting task of finding a new casino or two to give my money to. Off to do some research.

I actually have downloaded 32 red a while back, but I only made a guest account because I heard somewhere that they don't take Neteller instacash. Please tell me I was misinformed! 32 red seems like a great place for me to try, I just hate paying the 8.9%... lol

I heard somewhere that they don't take Neteller instacash
Yep, sad to say, they still don't. I usually withdraw to my Neteller or Firepay account when winning and leave a few dollars in there to play at 32Red when the urge strikes me.....but I don't get to play there often for I forget a lot of times they don't have this very usable feature which I love (instacash) , and I too dislike paying the fees for donating to my favorite casinos.

:lolup:Are you listening Ed? Yes, you have become one of my almost favorite stomping grounds...but we could meet more often if you had "instacash" :D Then you woud definitely be elevated to a "Most Favorite" list!
