So just out of interest, whats the RTP in the casino's and bookies you play at, 96-97% as most online games are, or 88-92% as I see in most bookies? If I had a casino and could knock 5-10% off the RTP I could afford to give you a free cup of coffee and the odd tenner with 1 x wagering too.

Over the past couple of years I too have thought that the industry needs innovation but there are significant barriers to this and many of those are a direct result of regulations. Casinos are restricted in what they can do within the bounds of a licence, as are game developers and platform providers.

And as Harry pointed out, bonus abusers have scuppered low wagering for good. Some of the gifting ideas mentioned above do exist but for VIPs: players that are known, proven and worth investing in. Otherwise it's too risky as we have seen over and over with the syndicates and advantage seekers. One poorly written term in an innovative bonus offer and things can go tits-up very fast, along with a casino's reputation.

Another prime problem is "white labels": they are generally cheap, template casinos that offer people with limited funds a way in to the industry. Low cash-out limits, standard bonuses, the same games and often the same back-office staff and support. Little room for anything more innovative than what we have already seen: characterisations, different ways of handing out bonus funds etc. Starting a casino that doesn't use a white label solution or an existing pre-defined platform is not only very expensive but also brings in trust issues.

What might shake things up a bit is Virtual Reality in the years to come but other than that, I can't see too much really eye-opening happening in the immediate future.

Yes £250-300 to players who are in every day, £10 a day maybe. If you can tell me an arcade I can walk into tomorrow and they will give me £300 I'll jump on a train in the morning. Last week I got £70 wager free from Videoslots in cashback and race winnings. Thats not counting the £20 or so I got from Frog Grog free spins weekend. I can also win a lot more than £500 from a £2 stake, or £10 stake if you take into account the FOTB £50 'fortune spins' where you get 5 spins for £50. The RTP is a lot better than an amusement arcade too, who's RTP is usually under 90%. I can't comment on land based casino's, but can say with absolute certainty if you find a machine set at higher than 90% in Nobles amusements (and most other large chains) you have done extremely well. Most bookies FOTB's are set around 92-94% at most.

What you get in one hand from a land based business is by taking away with the other what you would get online, and that works both ways.

Was thinkin the same as colin. Spend hours in an arcade every day which will butt fook you seriously badly in the long run, especially with some of the shocking difference in % on the same exact games located in different places depending on what arcade you wish to live inside for the forseeable future.
Aside from that in some places you'd have to ask double that in bonuses just for having to put up with mavis & beatrice talking about how cold they were when leaving home towards the arcade 9 hours ago and that the 18th cup of danky tea hasnt yet softened the pain, daggering you for accidently noticing the 7 'machine reserved' signs while you were contemplating at the penguin bar sitting all alone amongst 4 packets of mini biscuits, wondering if its worth makin a dash for.
Though spending an equally similar amount of time in a bookies is going to make that look like a holiday.
Some places also pay staff extra if they can intice the player to stay longer, arcades and bookies. many offer (and know it) dire games or/and below average dire % to back it up and also know thaf apart from dorothy and florence, in most cases noone is going to stay in there for long, especially on random games that can take 500 quid on 2quid spins and return 1 win over 5x stake leaving you unintentionally squeezing that penguin bar from the rear side of your body in an anxious fit on deciding if the 500quid cap is worth going on for knowing that to get your money back you are gonna need to hit that and sometimes more than once.
The pie gamble , despite being random and sometimes suicidal, being removed from a lot of rainbow riches games shows you how even a short stay can destroy you, and they dont want you to have any easy escapes from imminent total brains .

I'm a player that plays 50% online and 50% in real life for example bookies/amusement arcades playing the £500 jackpot machines. Some of you have said that with my ideas companies will not make any money, for me thats absolutely rubbish we all know that at the end of the day, there's only one real winner and thats the casino.

It costs more for any gambling operator to have a REAL LIFE High Street branch than a simple website (affilliates included) so if these can manage been a little more customer centric so can online sites.

I mean could you imagine walking into a REAL LIFE casino and the staff member walking over and saying 'congratulations I'm going to give you 50 x 1p FREESPINS on the amazing Starspins slot' but before you do I need you to read 35 pages of terms and conditions and I'l need to see x4 amounts of ID, oh and by the way you'll need to wait 1-5 working days for me to verify the info and if you do win you'll have to wait up to an additional 5 working days to receive your winnings, oh and I forgot to say MADAM if you deposit £200 I will give you another £200 but be warned if you win from this you'll need to deposit an additional £4750 to collect ya winnings lol .... It doesn't happen and with today's technology it doesn't need to be like this online either.

For the minority that are defending these online casinos that are ripping us off and treating us so badly, I suggest maybe spending a day from your keyboard and visiting a casino in real life and compare the treatment with both. You'll soon see that online should be doing much much more than the current pathetic offerings and experience.

Don't you have any other places to go then? If you get naff all back from them I wouldn't bother, maybe give them a phone call and ask why they are so stingy and if they did more promotions and gave away free drinks/food etc like most others they will notice more customers will come and stay longer.

Why change if it is not broken? In the end, sure, it is always the casino that wins but I have been having a lucky streak for some time now on Stargames and I wouldn´t change anything just yet!
