true, why compare...we've enough of our own primitive savages to berate
Well, I disagree with any act of violence against people for their beliefs whether politically or religiously or their choice of lifestyles. But if we're talking about domestic violence, I can stay out of my neighbour's living room. I can avoid most gang violence by my choice of areas to frequent and when I frequent them. I can avoid bar room brawls and other confrontations quite easily but I can't just hide in my house for fear that someone might blow up a random subway station because someone I don't even know drew a cartoon.
Terrorism is a cowardly way to wage a war without directly confronting an enemy. It targets innocent people most of which probably don't care what your religious beliefs are. Religious fanatics who perform acts of terror have no desire for peace. They have one belief and one goal for anyone who doesn't share it. Convert or die. They're not the first fanatics to follow this religious path. People have suffered this at the hands of other religions for centuries.
Lol, it can happen in ANYone's living room, not just other people's. You can get mugged in broad daylight on a popular busy street. You don't have to start a bar room brawl or be the initial target to have it leak out onto the street. True, you can't just hide in the house for fear of a blown up subway. God knows any local with an axe to grind and a tweak in his head can strap on a bomb.
This is why I don't belong to any religion and refused to raise my child in one. He turned out so much better by not being fed a weekly dose of hating some other group.
So..starve a nation because of a handful of zealots?
They are starving themselves. Giving them money is encouraging the system in which they are starving. By your logic, if I don't buy you food, I'm the one starving you. How about no.
By YOUR logic you're penalizing the many for the few. Hey, I heard there was a prominently African American gang attack? Should we round them ALL up, teach 'em a lesson? Some footballer fans rioted at a stadium; let's not let ANYONE in to watch the game. You're targeting a group that you have no knowledge that oh, say, wheat is going to. Some protesters in Times Square burnt some flags. Sorry New Yorkers, off to the tanty for the lot of ya
I could not agree with you more. There are those of who care, who vote, who really look at the issues unlike any of our government making those decisions for us. But until Americans stand up and stop being a bunch of panty waist and say enough it will continue. We give Egypt $280 billion each year and they didn't have the balls to back us after the embassy incident in Libya. And as for those burning our flags etc. Take the $$$$$ away and we will see how things change. Also, when a barrel of oil goes up so does an pound of wheat. We are the main exporter of food in the world. Let em strave, they will rethink.
I used to be sympathic etc. until I was on a plane on 911 and from that day on, respect is earned not given.
Penalizing? Oh that's right, they are entitled to my tax money. I tend to forget.
The middle east can live without wheat.
The west cannot live without oil.
What do you mean? Who are "they" and what "tax money" specifically?
we were not taught to hate anyone....If you can teach ur children how to separate the two that's the difference
NOTHING that these uneducated cavemen do is justified under ANY circumstances.
Wow! Take it easy. I thought this was meant to be casino/gambling advice site?
it's comparable to the bar fight you brought up
Dang, wish someone told the muggers they're supposed to stick to back alleys. I've been mugged on a bus, on the street during the day and on a cruise ship. Silly muggers; must not have gotten the memos
