Whine and Moan InterCasino Incident - What is your opinion? (warning: REALLY long)

I'm posting here a bit late, but JHV mentioned he had a problem with InterCasino on another forum and I did some google searching and found this very entertaining thread.

I have to reiterate what someone said above, you wouldn't have got the win if you had took the time to click on the bet that you wanted. If you'd done that you would have hit the "deal" button a few milliseconds later, the rng would have dished out a completely different set of random numbers and you would have likely got a completely different hand. You should be thankful that you did make the mistake and won some money, however small that money might be to your gambling desires; because had you clicked "max bet" or whatever you need to do at this site, you would have got a different hand and most likely lost money, as they only pay back 99.5% on JOB.

Whilst what happened to you is annoying, it's basically tough cheese, you can't expect the casino to compensate you for not having the bet out there that you would have liked to have.

Compensating you for disconnections that are related to their software, well that's a different story, and the fact that the bet can reset to different values after a disconnect seemingly at random if you aren't aware of the way it works is very annoying and they could compensate you for that a bit, but it wouldn't be related to the money you think you missed out on because you got a royal flush on a small bet.
Note that your probability of getting a royal on the next hand is the same as what it is on every spin. Your probability of achieving that win that you desire on "max bet" in the future is unaffected by your "mistake".

The cs shouldn't have sounded like they will pay you when you first contacted them but also you know enough to be suspicious of what others say, people make mistakes, especially when you've only just explained the problem and they have to digest it for a while. They generally employ nice people and not smart people at the first line of contact and it's common to get things that aren't quite right from them in the first conversation.

Call me a retard or whatever you like, but this time you'll just have to cop it on the chin.

We've all got problems you know.

That's my line. Well, StrongPlay's line but I stole it and trademarked it. Copyright. Serious. Business. You'll be hearing from my internet lawyers!

Your post tells me you've missed the interesting aspect / angle of this whole incident. You should read the entire thread from start to finish - or just read WagerWitch's summary towards the end before commenting.

Your comments regarding CS show some lack of understanding about the nature of this industry. My own stupidity (which was, in no small part, the primary contributor to the final result) is not the issue here. The endless lies and hijacking of my funds through deceit until those funds were lost - that is the issue.

And if you feel you're qualified to comment on CryptoLogic's RNG - you could either list those qualifications or you should clearly mark your comments as speculation. To do otherwise, i.e. to speculate but in a tone implying technical expertise and inside knowledge you don't possess...is somewhat misleading.

Well I have seen you use this line, but karma has a way of returning things. The gods took control of me and made me write it. I can give you a story along the same lines that happened to me 15 years ago when I used to go for keno jackpots. Suffice to say I'm a gambler that has seen my own ridiculous events over the years. And I can put you on to others that can give you their freaky stories although I'm sure you've seen plenty stories in your life already.

I did read the whole thread from start to finish. When I get time I'll read it again. I will print it out and keep it in fact, it's a classic.

Well I did some research on the pokies rng once that I play around the corner from me. IGT and Aristocrat seed their rng with the millisecond that the "spin" button is pushed.
You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.

You see, a lot of pokies players see someone play a machine after them and win and then say to themselves "bugger, I should have kept that machine". Well the theory is wrong, if they had kept the machine they would have pushed the button at different milliseconds and got different results.
I sort of assume that others would do similar things although I will say I have no idea what Cryptologic actually do. However, to think that you would have got the same outcome pushing the "deal" button at a different millisecond actually implies that you have your own personal rng assigned to you and that no one else could have pushed that button somewhere else in the world and interfered with your $25g spin that belonged to you and you only. Very unlikely imo; but if you are sure you would have got the same cards after pushing "max bet" then please correct me.

As far as CS goes, it wasn't good but with my experience it rarely is anywhere.
I wish you all the best getting $25g out of InterCasino though, I hold no malice to your claim.
My point is that your 5c spin is just stiff cheese.

Because not responding could lead you with the wrong impression that somehow your arguments were valid in some way. But to rephrase would be redundant. Please read above.

When I first played at InterCasino, I created a fun account to test their game, then I deposited some money. I could not change my name to that account and I didn't see it as a treat. I thought they will update it based on my credit card details. Then I managed to win around $2,000 with a small bet of $10. Guess what happened next? They said my name was FAKE even if they were the ones with the problem as I could NOT CHANGE my account details. And that is how INTERCASINO stole $2,000 from me. Not anywhere near your amount, but they still stole.
