Two men met at a bus stop and struck up a conversation.
One of them kept complaining of family problems.

Finally, the other man said: “You think you have family problems? Listen to my situation:

“A few years ago I met a young widow with a grown-up daughter.
We got married and I got myself a stepdaughter.
Later, my father married my stepdaughter.
That made my stepdaughter, my step-mother.
And my father became my stepson.
Also, my wife became mother-in-law of her father-in-law.
Much later, the daughter of my wife, my stepmother, had a son.
This boy was my half-brother because he was my father’s son.
But he was also the son of my wife’s daughter which made him my wife’s grandson.
That made me the grandfather of my half-brother.
This was nothing until my wife and I had a son.
Now the half-sister of my son, my stepmother, is also the grandmother.
This makes my father, the brother-in-law of my child, whose stepsister is my father’s wife, I am my stepmother’s brother-in-law, my wife is her own child’s aunt, my son is my father’s nephew and I am my" OWN GRANDFATHER!”

lol, there's a touch of that in my family.

My grandmother's brother passed away so she raised his daughter, which is her niece. So my father grew up calling his cousin his sister. I refer to her as my aunt, though she's my second cousin. Her kids are pretty far down the ladder now but I call them my cousins.
My grandmother has a daughter, quite the the junior of my father, so his little sister, close to my brother's age whom he grew up with and refers to as a sister though it'd be his aunt.

Next weird one.
My mother left my dad while still pregnant, and I grew up with my mother, while my brother grew up with my father. My mother and father both remarried. My step-father has a son who I grew up with named Michael, who I refer to as my brother.
My dad's new wife has a son named Michael, my brother's step-brother, who HE grew up with and refers to as his brother. Now, since my blood-brother and I didn't grow up in the same home my brother Michael is not MY brother's brother Michael, while my brother's brother Michael is not MY brother Michael. So both my brother and I have brothers named Michael but they arent the same person and we don't refer to each others' brother Michael as our own brother.:D

Oh, and my (natural) brother is David Michael, my (step) brother is Michael Davidl, by pure fluke since it's two completely different sets of parents.
