Some better racing now with the Leger meeting being on at Donny, and half decent ground.

1.40D Mayaas, 2nd last time over this distance, in a better race than this, on only his third run. He was slowly away, beaten just over a length, easily explained by the slow start. First time cheekpieces today should ensure he starts better, and should at the very least be placed today. Currently 9/2.

2.10D Acklam Express. In a better race, but gets quite a lot of weight from the others. If he repeats his time from his last race, it should be enough to get a place at least here. Missed the 8/1 that was available last night, but 11/2 is still widely available.

3.15D Althiqa, can't see this being oyut the first 3. Wasn't speedy enough to beat One Master a couple of runs back, but stayed on well over a mile on heavy ground last time in France, to come second. On better ground, back to 7f, confident of a place at least. Currently 9/2 4 places.

3.45D Data Protection. This is the risky one. His form suggests he can win this, trainers only runner at the meeting today, however, I'm not massively impressed with Nicola Currie's riding and it has drifted quite dramatically in the betting. Currently 14/1 4 places.

With Alpinista a non runner in the 3.15, it makes it a more interesting race to me.
I'm not keen on the first 2 in the market, Believe In Love is a decent handicapper but not sure he has the class to win this, much better race, and certainly wouldn't be taking 6/4 about it. Monica Sheriff needs soft ground I think, and if those don't live up to expectations as I suspect, I think this will be between Vivionn and Pista, in that order. I think Vivionn has by far the better form, but doesn't seem to like to win, so will do a RFC on the pair. Of course, if does depend on how good Believe In Love actually is, she's won easily when she has and she could be a lot better than I think she is.

In the 2.40, doing a forecast on Yazaman and Digital.

The returns on EW betting are not the same as betting on the nose but I find that I can often go quite some days on a single deposit betting each way and even get a cash out from time to time. On the nose can be a very expensive game and I am much more for enjoying the challenge.

I was hoping the prices would drift a bit on these, but 2.40 Sacred and 3.45 One Ruler both have a very good chance of winning today. Best priced 11/8 and 6/4, the double will return around 5/1.
