Not the best price, but if the ground is truly heavy, Un De Sceaux should beat the favourite in the 3.35

Battle Of Marathon should win the 1.00L (7/2 currently)

Be surprised if Sean doesn't win on Acting Lass in the 2.40H, currently 6/1
I took Midnight tune in the 2.40 cos I think it has another win in it.

My big bet today is yet again at the Irish meeting. But the other bets have got off to a decent start

Good luck with your bets :)

Not the best day, first one doubled in price to 11/2 but still managed to get second, and I think the jockey should have started the run slightly earlier which cost him the race. Sean's. pulled up but wasn't ever looking like it would win. I'm convinced Un De Sceaux will win though so stuck another bet on, to cover the days losses, so all or nothing here lol

Guardia Top (2.25D) is Sean's only ride for the day, at a track he doesn't usually travel to, for a trainer he rarely rides for. It's a step up in class for the horse, but the same can be said for one of the favourite's, Galice Macaolo, who was looking like he might beat Midnight's Gift in their last race, when he fell at the last. Either of the fav's might beat Sean's, but I don't think both will, and think they might take each other on and set the race up for Sean to come through towards the end.

I wouldn't say I'm confident of a win, but am pretty confident of it getting placed and has a chance to win. Going to put £20 EW on it with BetVictor @ 13/2, which is the best price available at the moment, 6/1 generally elswehere.

Although the market hasn't really got going yet, to back it at Betfair it is only 7.2 which is lower than BV, more so taking into account fees and the fact its win only, something that suggests there is possibly market confidence behind it.

Predicting price movements is mainly guesswork, despite what some people say, but I wouldn't be surprised if this starts around 9/2 - 5/1.

Good luck anyone having a bet today.

Got only 6.4 now :/ Let's see if dropping a lot can remove red before start :)

Not a bad run (saw only the end though), better tiny profit from place than loss, thanks @colinsunderland

yep, that was why I posted really, I wasn't sure it would win, but was reasonably certain it would place, meaning a small profit if it did, but a decent one if it did actually win. It more than halved in price (13/2-11/4) so clearly it was fancied, unfortunately this time it didn't result in a payday :(

Couple of things for tomorrow

Imperial Aura is going for the Close Bothers at Cheltenham (currently 25/1), but needs at least a 3lb rise (probably 4 or 5) in the weights to get in. He's running in the 1.15 tomorrow, so must be there to try to win. Currently around 3/1 for tomorrows race. I'll decide in the morning but I might put a small bet on Betfair Exchange tomorrow for Cheltenham too, with a view to lay back off, as if he wins impressively tomorrow I think he will drop to around 14/1, short term at least, so a chance to lay back, and lock in a free bet. Of course it all fails if he gets beat lol. He is getting backed in at the moment though.

Burbank is running in the 3.15 and currently around 9/1. Not one I would have confidence in, as he either runs really well, or really bad. Also entered at Cheltenham, but I have a feeling tomorrow is the target, as don't think he will win at Cheltenham. Tomorrows race is £56k for the winner so not a shabby prize.

Just another quick one, Betfair sportsbook has priced up settle pettle in the 5.30 tomorrow at 33/1. Bet365 are 10/1. Theres a very good chance the price will end up settling at around 16/1 at some point, so the chance for a small profit by laying at a lower price on the exchange.

Edit - paddypower same price

Settle Pettal's price at Betfair SB is now 12/1 and is currently available to back at 15.0 on the exchange so that didn't last long!

Having looked a little more at tomorrow's racing also like King Roland in the 3.00 and think Rebecca Curtis will have at least one winner, possibly 2, out of her 2 at Uttoxeter, short prices though.

A few longer priced ones for my EW Lucky 15

3.35C Clearly, If The Cap Fits and more so, Paisley Park are the two obvious choices, but L'Ami Serge has the form to win this. Obviously today might not be his day, but at 14/1 is worth an EW bet.

12.20D Dr Richard Newland has hit a little form this week and Bbold looks like its worth a bet to get placed at least, around 7/1

1.30D Very First Time 5/1, if he jumps better than last time, he should win this fairly easily.

1.50C Count Meribel is currently around 8/1, backed in from around 12/1. It has had as much money traded on it on Betfair as the current favourite, which, considering he is 6th in the market, is significant. Seems to usually run well after a break and has had a couple of months off.

Good luck today

oh, settle pettle is now 9/1

Have to educate myself bit more about horse betting, i have no idea what these Lucky 15 and other cool systems are you guys are betting (yes, can assume it's some kind of acca but how these different bets exactly work), can anyone recommend any website where these would be explained?

Then i stop all work related stuff from my life and just get rich with your horse tips :)

I didn't see any racing today, but seen my balance so guessing I had maybe one winner, or a couple placed, typical Saturday at the office lol

Just had a look at what happened to Imperial Aura. He will easily be raised 4lbs for that, and considering they were 11l clear of the rest of a good field, was unlucky to run into one slightly better on the day. Has been cut to 14/1.
Something else to come from today for Cheltenham is that Glenloe looks a decent bet for the Kim Muir at 7/1 as Ok Corral won't get in now.

their is a horse running friday in the last at chepstow called CROSSING THE LINES. A video of it on Youtube winning a P2P by about 20 lengths without coming off the bridle.

Apparently rated very highly, looks very tough race to start off in, but hopefully keep the price decent. Don't follow much P2P but this one looked a great horse for the future.

the second in that race, Pegase Amour, was supposed to run in the 3.50 today but is a non runner.

Not a tip for today as such, but Freedom To Dream was expected to win the bumper at limerick easily today. He couldn't run as he is stuck in America at the moment, but will be worth looking at next time it runs.
