Got a bonus, made playthrough, made a deposit and was ready to make a 320$ withdraw...
They called me and asked a couple of questions, the last one was if I'm a student. I answered yes and they closed my account.

High Noon Casino Terms of Use said:
1. The Player is at least 18 years of age or has reached the legal age of maturity in his/her jurisdiction, whichever is greater. Full time students aged 25 or under who are enrolled in a College or University are not permitted to play in the Casino.

However I'm neither college nor university student, I'm in high school.
I told this in live chat, that didn't help much but I was advised to send an email.

Sent an email and was answered that I can't play because university is higher than high school.
I asked them to atleast let me have my bonus winnings that I got before I was first told high school students can't play. I think it would be pretty appropriate.
Haven't been answered to that yet.

Are you over 18 years old ?

Your in high school!!!!! You shouldn't be gambling online you should be studying! :(Most high school students are under 18 except for a very few in their final year- the 25yrs was to aviod confusion about uni students and mature age stidents.

Side with the casino on this one- at most you should get back your deposit if you can provide ID for age limits, although I think you know full well you really weren;t eligile to sign up in the first place and are trying it on by selective interpretation.

It depends, but in Norway- what we would call "high school", the students are up to about 15-16.

Maybe the player acctually is a student but did not know the T&C, and he is now trying to find a way out of the problems, by saying he is a underage high school kid

I'm 18, in Finland most people are in high school till they are 18-19.
I thought it was just university or college students who weren't able to join as it clearly says only university and college in the terms.

No. Full time students aged 25 or under who are in college/university.

Yes, I corrected my case. Bit interesting, since you are in High School.

Is the legal age of maturity 18 in Finland? (probably :) )

College would be meant to include what you call high school- which in some places is called secondary college- the university is included to distinguish post high school students- The intention is to exclude young (25) full time students as you would clearly know and cleary are

You are playing unsuccesfuly with semantics or as judge judy said

"Don't pee on my leg and tell me that its raining"

So does this mean anything under a university or college you can gamble.

Come on little kiddies can you come out to play today.
So even pre k & kindergarten can spin them wheels because they are under a university or college status.

Hey Jussiv I wish you the best.
And Welcome to CM's forum.

Well this is the first time a heard that college includes high school.
And I would be happy to pee on your leg.

As you can clearly see I'm 18.

Sorry dude, I doubt that you are going to win on this one. They are doing this to protect you and as part of the responsible gambling philosophy. Just like other members whose minimum bets are being raised.... :)

In the Club World thread, I raised the question of high school students. Clubworld had input before revising their terms... College or University is very specific.

I think this player should be paid his winnings. Close the account, and revise the term again.

I really don't think you will win this as you most definitely DID break T&Cs, IMO. If they give you your deposit back be very happy! You are still a student AND under 25, so your twisted reasoning won't get you very far.

Im going to have to disagree here. Casinos expect us to pick their T&Cs with a fine tooth comb. They use twisted reasoning at times when writing their T&C's. Clearly it does not say high school students. Pay the player.

I'm not going to argue over this, as I just don't have the energy right now. But, by your reasoning, it's okay since he/she is a high school student?

Regardless of whether or not he should be gambling whilst in high school he is 18, and 18 is the legal age for gambling in his country is it not?

Another case of poorly worded T&C's. I'd say pay him and amend the terms. It's a crazy term anyway, do they stop the work shy cretins who sit at home all day gambling whilst claiming benefits? Worse than taking money from students if you ask me...

I am going to have to agree with funeral979. The player should be paid since it did not even come close to mentioning high school students. I said it once, and I will say it again. These riduculous convoluted rules are only going to bite the casino in the butt in the long run. I said this earlier when the other debate went on. Stop trying to reinvent the wheel. Keep it simple and you will not come across all these twisted rules that only come back to haunt you the more you try to tweak it, the worse you make it. SIMPLE is the way to go as many suggested earlier, just remove this rule altogether and state an age and be done with it.

I do not believe you will be paid either but I believe you should be due to the fact that nowhere is it stated as a student in high school.

Time to hold the casinos feet to the fire they created themselves.

.

I can't fathom why some of you are arguing for this player - the guy is a student.

Full time students aged 25 or under who are enrolled in a College or University are not permitted to play in the Casino.

The guy is under 25 and is a full time student. For those of you who want to argue the fact that the terms don't read "high school" need to step away from their computers for a bit and get some fresh air.
