If they've closed, their ghost is sure haunting the hell out of my email - lots of spam coming from them all of a sudden.

In all seriousness though, they left Playtech and went to TopGame. I don't know anything else, if it's still the same owners or what's going on.

Weird stuff in the terms like withdrawal levels based on VIP status - low level VIP member max cashout $1K/week up to $35K/week for 'Ultimate Plus' level  and some fairly hefty withdrawal fees too.

EDIT: Sorry I'm a bonehead, I guess TopGame and IGS are the same thing! I thought some of those games sounded familiar....

I noticed it some days ago, i received a nd bonus and invitation via email. I clicked on the link and it still shows golden palace but no playtech software anymore, some starnge looking games instead. Would be interesting what happened to them and why they changed the software?

cheers

IGS and Top game for sure the same.

This place goes back years, I remember when the old owner bought a grilled cheese sandwich that looked like the Virgin Mary and then all those body ads on boxers.

Let me hazard a guess... Playtech = not allowed to take USA players. Top Game = not so fussy!

Could be another reason too; you all know I promote casinos on my websites, but what you probably don't know is that Playtech casinos are spectacularly unpopular with visitors to my site compared to other software brands. I have never figured out exactly WHY this is (I have a few theories), but it is a fact. Maybe that is why they have switched. Mind you, if it were me, I definitely wouldn't have thought Top Game was the best alternative, so there may be more to it...?

I read that Golden Palace is closed or was bought by another company. Has anyone heard anything?

Yes and no. The company went under and their brand was sold to Casino Stars which uses IGS Online.
Their other sister casinos' sites (Grand Online, Flamingo Club, Online Casino Central, 24kt Gold Casino) were effectively closed and their websites now redirect to Golden Palace.
Golden Palace will remain but it will be run by Casino Stars.
They sold their list of customers as well so you can expect lots of gratuitous spam from them.
Whenever this happens in the industry, remaining balances tend to mysteriously disappear and players have a hard time recouping or cashing out among other things.
I would advice anyone that still has a balance to log into their accounts ASAP if they still can and cash out whatever is left before it's too late.
As for Casino Stars, I would advice anyone to stay far away from them. Their track record is even worse than Golden Palace's.

It doesn't surprise me that Golden Palace is now an IGS casino.

As notorious rogue casinos, Golden Palace and Casino Stars will complement and be a natural fit for each other.

Golden Palace Casino

Hello, Casinomeister users!

First of all, please allow me to introduce myself: my name is Mike, I’m the new Affiliate Manager for Golden Palace Casino, and I would like to clarify a few issues found in this post:

1. Golden Palace Casino wasn’t closed / wasn’t sold to another company.
2. Starting with December 2013 Golden Palace has moved to IGSONLINE – for both gaming solution and affiliate platform.
3. Since we moved to the new software provider the only restricted countries are: USA, Costa Rica, Romania, Poland, Denmark, Israel and Ukraine.
4. We merged all the other casinos (Grand Online, Flamingo Club, Online Casino Central, and 24kt Gold Casino) under Golden Palace Casino and this will be the only brand we’re currently promoting through Golden Palace Affiliates.

All those being said, if you have any queries or questions, please do not hesitate and contact us directly:

- for any affiliate related issues, please send us a private message or send us an e-mail at affiliates[at]goldenpalaceaffiliates.com
- for any player related questions you can send an e-mail at customersupport[at]goldenpalace.com

Thank you very much,
Mike

This only answers one point, not several.

What about:-

Golden Palace Toll Free south african phone number is the same as for Loco Jungle.

This indicates that you are not a proper stand alone operation with dedicated in-house teams, but a casino that outsources a fair bit of it's operations. Such outsourcing tends to lead to poor customer service, and outsourcing to the same team that runs Loco Jungle more or less guarantees it.

The banned country list is a bit odd too. The USA is understandable, but the rest seems to have been picked by throwing 6 darts at a map of the world, unless of course it's an incomplete list and a "includes, but is not limited to..." term applies which means a player from almost ANY country can be ambushed with the "you are playing from a restricted country, therefore your winnings are forfeit and deposits returned" beloved of the rogues.

There is also a serious question mark over the fairness of the software (ex Futurebet?) and it's provider which needs to be addressed, possibly the most important issue of all.

Hi weatherman,

Regarding the South African numbers, the numbers are pretty close, but not the same:

Golden Palace's Toll Free numbers:
Toll-free: 1-888-259-3196
Toll-free (Australia): 1-800-891-743
Toll-free (South Africa): 27-0-800-780-018

Loco Jungle's Toll Free numbers:
Toll-free: 1-888-259-6853
Toll Free (Australia): 1-800-013-683
Toll Free (South Africa): 27-0-800-780-017

You can check for yourself here: Old / Expired Link and here: Outdated URL (Invalid)

Regarding the restricted countries... well, this is strictly a part of our company's policy and it's based on a aspects like legal environment and business development planning. Please, rest assured that nothing like "throwing darts on the map" has anything to do when we add/remove a country to/from our banned list. Also, our restricted country list is not a secret and if you try to register from one of those countries you will not able to complete the process.

Moving forward, our software provider is IGSONLINE (Outdated URL (Invalid)), with no connection with Interactive Gaming Systems (Outdated URL (Invalid)).

All those being said, if you have any queries or questions about the above, please, do not hesitate and drop me an e-mail or a PM.

Please, when I checked a while back you had the exact same number and that's what you've told affilates (this is an example):

Now a question, why do you call Top Game for IGS? :eek2:

You have the same support, you have the same amounts on progressives and the same marketing materials and the same games.

This obviously was a mistake from completecasinolist.com's webmaster. I will contact them myself and ask to update. Thanks for your heads-up.

I don't know if there is any connection between IGSONLINE and Top Game Technology. As I said, Golden Palace Casino is just using the software and the affiliate solution provided by IGSONLINE. We are just one of their clients and you can imagine that we don't have access to such type of information from a completely different business entity.
