I watched the leader debate thingy last night. The format was far better this time around, by not pitting them against each other, and having Beth Rigby and then the audience ask questions and allow a decent amount of time for answers, we got a better feel for them both.
Starmer was solid if not incredible, Sunak looks like he's just had enough of the whole thing and can't wait for it all to be over so he can get back to enjoying being one of the richest people in the UK rather than faffing about with this whole politics affair.
I enjoy Rory Stewart and Alastair Campbell's political analysis. Rory Stewart of course being one of those Tory MPs who left in disgust during the Johnson era. I remember watching the Tory leader debate before Johnson was crowned and thinking that Stewart was by far the most impressive, and also that he'd make a serious and decent Prime Minister.
I also thought there was no way the Tory faithful would select him as leader, which of course is what came to pass and Johnson then proceeded to blow up the country, and then the same Tory faithful voted in Truss as leader. LOL.
