Geisha Lounge changes

Hello everyone,

Just letting everyone from geisha lounge know that the next time u log on to geisha u will be re directed to king solomons casino...geisha is no more.

I rang the customer support line to inquire if all the benifits we had earnt at Geisha would still be honored at king solomons, those of you who are gold members and have enjoyed cashbacks on your losses, i have been informed they are no more.

I stayed played and lost very quickly, can anyone suggest a new casino with the same software as geisha...not impressed at all.

Never played at Geisha but if their software is the same as Solomons then it is RTG and i would suggest Club World Casino. Good casno with great payout times although it can be a little tight at times, but would be my pick of the bunch from RTG. Inetbet is also another possibility :)

As AMB said - it's RTG.
There are loads of casinos using this software - but 75% of them are rogues!

OK are the other Geisha's, Club World, iNetBet, BoDog, and Main Street Group.

Has anyone PM'd Greg and asked for an explanation? Although I'm with you guys, he should have made a post on the forum informing players and affiliates alike of the closing of one casino, and the migration of accounts to KS.

I'd be interested in hearing the reasoning behind it. I'm sure it's financial, but it was only a year or two ago they acquired Windows Casino, which they then switched over to Playtech software, a casino with a less than stellar reputation for sure. Now they have closed down one of the previously decent casinos in their stable.

I'll send Greg a PM if no one else has?
 
I think a bigger issue is cancelling the benefits earned by loyal players without notice, and not even telling them in advance so that they can cash in comps etc.
In previous cases (main street), it has simply been a matter of logging into the replacement casino with your old details. In this case, former Geisha players should be able to log into King Solomons with their Geisha username. This will leave some players in the position of having "multiple accounts" at King Solomons if they are currently members at both. Unless this change has been properly done, such players could find that this "administrative curiosity" leads to locked accounts and denied winnings should they play the "wrong" King Solomons account.
Perhaps they are trying to distance themselves from RTG, having begun to promote their Playtech brand Windows casino "aggressively" to their existing RTG players on their database.
They really should have told their affiliates and other promoters, as this could lead them into trouble with their website visitors, who could accuse them of having out of date offers on their site. It leaves Bryan in the position of having an accredited casino that no longer exists, and will waste his time if he has to find out for himself why Casinomeister members are having trouble with the link seeming to go to the "other" casino when they try to click through to Geisha Lounge.

I am posting my response to Lisa as it will explain everything . The move was a large one but a necessary one . It has nothing to do with Financials . Our partners and us are just doing a whole lot better with Windows Casino and Windows Poker at the present time than we are with the RTGs in Europe . Thanks for the heads up. It is true, we have been working on a database merge and it has been a huge job. It did involve transferring across affiliate ids to new accounts created on the skins. This has been one of the priorities of the change.

We have had to create new local affiliate ids for a lot of account and we were going to mail affiliates on Monday with an explanation. Looks like I have been beaten to it.

We want to reduce our brands and the workload that having multiple brands brings to the our Call Centre team . This will enable us to focus on fewer brands but deliver a better service.

As a group we have had to change direction after UIGEA and it makes sense to now promote software that Euro players enjoy and that is what we are going to be focusing on moving forward.

We will still keep the RTG Casinos open so that affiliates dont loose out on any revenue that rightfully belongs to them. .

There is nothing sinister in this - i can assure you.

It's still confusing, the accredited section still lists Geisha and Grand Aces, and contrary to an earlier post, Geisha does not redirect, but appears open for business - it even launches that begging "download me" window as soon as the site page opens.
There is still the problem of ensuring that players are migrated properly, especially those that have accounts in both Geisha/Grand Aces, AND King Solomons. If the data is simply ported, such players end up with their balances and benefits split between up to three separate King Solomons accounts.

Having said this, merging all into one RTG does make sense because of the Random Jackpots growing too slowly where limited play is spread over three casinos. The benefit in closing the two other Playtech casinos is less obvious for the player, but again the problem of players having had accounts at all three in the past leading them to have three accounts all at Windows.
Since Multiple accounts leads to fraud flags being triggered, can we be assured that players whose multiple accounts are accidental due to this migration will not be troubled by "enquiries" into their honesty by low level CS and "security departments" who spot "connected accounts" in both Windows and King Solomon casinos.

Hi Greg,

I have again called customer support today and again been told that once your account is changed over to king solomons , you are then under there rules you still keep the status but not the benifits as ks doesnt give cash back.

I have at no time been advised by email that the merger is happening...not good at all..thanks Puppy

Puppy - many players have been advised re this change so i dont think that there is a reason why the Casino would not advise you specifically .

I can not belive that the Casino would move players and not put them in the same class that they were in before . I have emailed the Casinos for full verification of this and for verification re Loyalty points and all other benefits .

I will probably be responded to on Monday so will come back to you all then .

I have personally been working on ensuring that affiliate Ids for thousands of affiliates were carried over . This mainly affected the Casinos with Local affiliate programs - i.e the Windows group and many of the affiliates were very old but nonetheless they have still been credited .

In regards to multiple accounts - i think that the CS representatives have been advised re the accounts issue . I will ask for clarification re this as well but i can not see the Casinos penalizing or calling someones integrity into question especially if they created the accounts .

It has been a massive project with a lot of thought given to it to ensure that all parties are left as happy as possible with our main consideration being the players themselves .

Just getting to this now. It's news to me as well, but what the heck - there is always something going on.

I thought i would delve a little deeper into one of the reasons this was done .

The Call Centre will now only have to log into one backend instead one for each of the Casinos . That means our players have every chance of getting a lot better treatment . Instead of battling 7 or 8 backends they now only have 2 to contend with .

The initial Casino done was Geisha Lounge because of the size of the database.
We have taken the player databased and migrated them so that the Casino is now a skin of either King Solomons or Windows Casino.

We were caught on the hop a bit as RTG perfected the migration and ironed out issues during the first migration and finalized the Hamptons ,Portofino , Gold Key ,Magic Oasis , and Grand Aces dbs into a single DB in record time.

That is the reason for the sometimes multiple accounts. These are still being treated as seperate accounts .The call centre are supposedly able to tell what skin it is on King Solomons or Windows.

Another part of this migration was the transfering of affiliate ids to the new accounts . That has been done . The whole project finalized really late friday
so we did not get a mailer out to affiliates . That will be sent out on Monday.

I wonder if the E-mails only went to players with a balance. I have an account at Geisha Lounge that I haven't used since they went from GoneGambling, and one from King Solomons where I won too much:p (and haven't used for quite a while). I would have had nothing in either, and didn't receive an E-mail to tell me that Geisha was no more.

This all makes sense though, I once contacted CS, and the confusion over having 8 back ends lead to me receiving poor service until I worked out what the problem was and told the CS to try the "other" back end for King Solomons POUND casino.

Even inactive players should be told, as if they are doing as they should they would be noting which casinos they already have accounts for so they don't take a new player bonus some time later to which they are not entitled.

Regarding Mainstreet casinos i wouldn't recommend playing there unless it is ok for you to wait 3 weeks to get the winnings.

Sayonara to Geisha Lounge...and some of its sisters

The outgoing manager for affiliate accounts at Wager Junction, Greg Gomes informed players of some interesting changes in the King Soloman's group of online casinos this weekend.

It appears that RTG-powered Geisha Lounge will be reduced to the status of a skin after many years of operations, with players being transferred, along with their loyalty status and rewards, to the King Soloman's database. Hamptons, Portofino, Gold Key, Magic Oasis and Grand Aces will also remain as 'skins', although the action and players will all go to the King Soloman database and backend in coming weeks.

Special arrangements have been made to ensure that marketing affiliates are not adversely affected by the changes, and these will be communicated this week.

Gomes revealed that the Playtech-powered Windows Casino and Windows Poker interests of the group have been doing well post-UIGEA, especially in the European market and this component will continue to operate on a different software platform.

"We want to reduce our brands and the workload that having multiple brands brings to the our Call Centre team," said Gomes. "This will enable us to focus on fewer brands but deliver a better service. Under the new arrangements the central Call Centre of the group will now only have to log into one backend instead of one for each of the group's (RTG) casinos. The Windows operations will operate on another backend, reducing the group backends to two.

Im bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning and i have some answers for you re the questions that have been posed . Also a big thank you for all of your wishes re my new adventure , it is in gaming and i hope Bryan lets me have a new handle - The CM site is a cool place

My questions to the Casinos were as follows :

1) When players were migrated did they migrate with their player class and all loyalty points
2) Where all of them emailed re the change
3) Will they retain the same benefits that they had on the previous Casino - cashback etc
40 what about players with multiple accounts - Does the Call Centre know how to differentiate


The answers i got back are as follows :

1) Yes, all players who had their accounts migrated to the KS$ DB, would've had their withdrawable balance, loyalty points and player class migrated over to the new account.  Players who already had accounts on KS$ (if they'd made a deposit in the past) would not have had their accounts migrated in most cases (so as to avoid issues with duplicates) BUT their player class on the KS$ account would've been updated to match the account of whichever other casino they were playing on, if the player class in such an account was higher than the one on KS.  In such cases, comp points were not moved over but this can be done manually.

2) All REAL players who played on the casinos since 1st September 2007 were emailed in accordance with the situation affecting their account:
(a) If they had to use an account previously registered on a different casino (i.e. KS), to login to the casino (i.e. GL) going forward.
(b) If they had a migrated account where their login was changed to have a '7', '8' or '9' suffix added to the login.
(c) If they were playing on any casino that was redirected to either KS or Windows.
In all cases, it was explained that the redirect was going to happen.

4) For any migrated accounts, a note was added to the CS Comments section stating which DB the account was migrated from as well as the original login for the account.

The only portion that worries me here is that in some cases loyalty points have not been moved . I am going to be asking the Casino to address this situation and come back to me when they have done so.

The primary motivation behind these changes is a desire to better service the playes that do play with us and in a very short period of time things have already improved.

I thought i would just mention that we have ensured that any links that existing affiliates are using to Geisha Lounge , Grand Aces and the other Casinos will now still track even though players are referred to King Solomons and the RTG version of Windows Casino .
