Hi,

I've only come across this site as I have potentially a serious problem with Freaky Vegas casino.

I deposited on Wednesday (I hadn't seen the warnings, unfortunately) and won a decent amount and withdrew.

I went to check on the withdrawal, yesterday and the website has been shut down.

The fact the money is crucial to me getting through Xmas means I'm now panicking that not only have I lost my deposit but also my winnings. Not even sure where to start? The casino hasn't responded in two days.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Ah, that is unfortunate. I didn't know it had been shut down. As you will be aware by searching them here, they originally came on board and gained accreditation, a recognized and known rep etc. so all was hunky-dory - for a very short time. There were a few issue with late payments, but the real indicator of problems came with them not tracking UK players for the affiliates and then their rep went AWOL.
To cut a long story short they ended up in the rogue pit, the quickest ever CM 'fall from grace' I ever saw. Bizarre, and Bryan and the affs are still waiting for answers.

OK, as you are a UK player is it just the .co.uk site that has vanished, or the .com MGA licenced one too? You should have statutory protection for deposits firstly via the UKGC's funds rules and secondly via your payment method for non-delivery of goods or services if the business has ceased trading.

Based of what you've said the easiest and best procedural method would be the protection of funds via UKGC - you should be paid out all your owed cash as it should be held separately from the rest of the casino or licensee's finances. This is the optimal resolution, but to be honest given the events surrounding this site it wouldn't surprise me if that failed.

You could try a PAB here via MaxD, but given the lack of communication from this lot and previous behaviour I'm not sure how effective it would be, if he could get any joy from them at all.

IF they have ceased trading they are obliged to communicate to you how to retrieve funds and the timescale, maybe this will occur.

If all else fails, then it would have to be protection of funds via your payment provider although this is a last resort and shouldn't really have to happen if the casino has adhered to their licence.

Sorry to hear you've had these issues.

Site does still load fine for me, however i do not have an account and dont intend to create one in order to check. However, via UK Proxy all i get to is the Background Image of the Site and no more.. Is that the same you UKers get?

Presumably that's what he's saying in the OP. Could be temporary but I wouldn't be surprised if there is a UK shut down here.

Site has now totally gone on the .co.uk version, it was showing a one pager but now nothing?

I only used this site because of the tech provider (same as paddy power) so thought it would be safe, especially with ukgc license.

I'm assuming the worst here but is it just that my deposit is protected or winnings too? I only ask because my winnings were 200% more than my deposit.

Merry Christmas and all that, amazing how you get hit at your lowest points in life.

As far as I understand it 'player funds' are supposed to be isolated from the general casino finances. This would include winnings too held in the account at the time of closure.

Freaky Vegas had only "BASIC" protection, meaning the players come in last as creditors and the funds are not secured when they go bankrupt. For that the casino needs the "MEDIUM" protection, the basic one is basically worth nothing.

Fantastic.

Hysterical laughing is about all I can muster. I needed a break, got it, and now the casino goes bust.

This is going to be an awful Christmas.

Looks like I'm screwed then.

Not sure if I'm allowed to mention amounts but I have pending £1,670 with them.

Anyone know how to make £400 to pay your rent? Not sure they will understand or believe a casino going bust is why you're short. I could show them my bank statement but again...

Beyond funny.

Yeah, that's what I always figured - level 1 in reality means about as much as the MD keeping the funds in a bag under his bed. :(

Sorry mate but I've got to say this!

If you gamble responsibly, you write the deposit off as soon as you make it - it's money you can afford to lose without any consequences.

You'll get a great deal of empathy here for potentially having being ripped-off by this rogue outfit but NOT for risking money you shouldn't have been!

I know this doesn't help you right now by the way but this issue will be what springs to mind of many readers here.

There is no communication whatsoever. Lucas hasn't responded in two months. No one replies to my emails, Skype, Messenger, etc., and they still have the Accredited Seal. At least it is linked to their Rogue listing lol.
This is a ridiculous situation. Never seen a place nose-dive like Freaky Vegas before. Well, since Club World.

Players see this print on the site, and think that they are reliable guys. Bryan @Casinomeister needs to do something about it, it's not good.

Hey, let's go down the moral route because there is no good reason for anyone to gamble.

The facts are, they currently owe me, regardless of if what I've done is stupid.

The serious side for me is that I now have to negate a very difficult period as a result of not being paid.

Nope, as a result of gambling.
The good part is that you probably won't make the same mistake again.
Please don't!

I do feel sorry for you but some things must be learned the hard way.

Trust me, I've been down a very difficult path, but this isn't me complaining of losses, this is me looking for help.

I think my next port of call is the UKGC?

Unless something has happened to him, there is simply no excuse for his non - response.

To be honest, Lucas is DONE in the affiliate arena. I will never trust him at all... Not that I did to begin with. Another Shady character to write off.
