Fortune Lounge BS Bonus Applied to Tie Up My Winnings

I deposit $50 to my 7 Sultans account. I notice a pop up-window had opened and expired when a Live Chat Support Person had mistakenly thought my QT deposit had failed. So I close that and I'm playing Js or B VP, struggling, under $15 so I jump to $2 bet and 1 coin and eventually I have over $500 in my balance and settle on 473.77 and leave the game. Then I notice that a $25 bonus has mysteriously attached itself to my balance. I cannot get Live Chat to initialize now that I want to use it so I telephone A.J. in support.

A.J. says that the bonus is the tail end of a multiple-month new account bonus. I first opened a 7 Sultans account in 1995 but it was closed due to inactivity and reopened after I inquired last year. I hadn't known I was going to get a bonus. He said I should have checked the website. What for? Even if I had see the bonus offers why should I thnk any of them applied to me after 5 years? And me being in the U.S.?And the $25 was nowhere in sight until I no longer needed it and now I have a 50x bonus or $775 WR on my entire balance. The bonus wasn't applied until I had a balance of over $400.

A.J. in support says its not a means to intentionally hamper my WD after I have won a considerable sum and that's why I had the option to waive the bonus. How does one waive a bonus one isn't expecting? By Live Support contacting the player BEFORE applying the bonus is the only way I know of my having any opportunity to waive it! Like THIS:

"Hello sir, did you know you have a bonus coming? I see that you are doing quite well without it so perhaps you may prefer to waive it at this time for the following reasons..."

Obviously,THAT'S what DID NOT happen, needless to say. So now I have a big effen WR over some BS bonus that should never have been applied to my balance in the first place. REAL CUTE FL!

F alla that. I PLAYED the WR off! Now my balance is a lousey $79.31, I'm shutting down for now and gonna come back another day (before 5/28) with $24.31 more than I had originally deposited, at least, no thanks to the bonus! And nevermind that FL burned me for $400 Ima still kick their ASS!

My POINT: they STUCK me when my balance was gettin up there to avoid a big WD!! I had been playing $2 x 5 and $5 x 5 vp hands - had full houses dealt at $10 and $25 ($90 & $225 payouts, respectively) so of COURSE I didn't see when the bonus was applied. LOL

Sides, I played on the bonus after it was applied, so, by then, it was a moot point, right? And I didn't know there were any reps for any casinos outside of phoning or emailing the casinos through normal channels in 2006. Dont know why I dint. Jes ignernt, I reckin.

For the record, 7 Sultans didn't exist in 1995. It opened in 2001 if I am not mistaken.

Good eye spearmaster! Sharp as a motzo ball too, I might add! I mispoke! I meant 2005. Probably wouldn't a run so hot on my sx365 16Mgz pc in those days anyhoo! :lolup:

'Sneaky' bonuses are a DISservice to players, IMO.

Casinos should NEVER just stick a bonus into a players account while they're playing ... they must let you know... one of those irritating flyouts would do, as long as you must click 'accept' or 'decline' before the bonus is added.

'Sneaky' bonuses are a DISservice to players, IMO.

You get those irritating flyouts when you don't want them all the time... But when they should be used, they're nowhere to be found! :D
I agree with Mousey, dropping something into your account mid-play that all of a sudden binds you somehow is simply too easy to miss. Pop up with accept/decline would be mandatory, the only way that makes sense.

Yeah and how many MG sites have been crediting bonuses immediately upon deposit and for how long??? FL just stuck with the "we don't credit bonuses for several hours" by choice and for obvious reasons, IMO.

Thank you! And do you know how I open Live Chat at any Fortune Lounge casino? Well, I'm going to tell you: I go to the Banking page where I initiate a QT deposit for way more than I have in my QT account and as soon as it doesn't go through, guess what? You guessed it! Presto! Live Chat opens with some1 saying, "Aw, did widdle deposit not go thru? Me so sah-wee! Wet me hep widdle o you!", so I get Live Chat any time I want, instantly without having to mess around with no BS! Otherwise, I can't even get Live Chat to open at all. Just get "error - click here for details"

It looks like one of those situations that happens once in a blue moon and unfortunately it happened to you Bern.

The casino should have just removed the bonus when you called given the unusual circumstances. I would definitely have contacted Wim (FL Rep) who has always helped me out in the past - Im pretty sure he would have fixed it.

I'm not sure why you just gave up and played the WR out though when a PM or even a PAB might have saved you some major $$$...??. Doesnt seem like your usual MO.

However, I very much doubt the bonus was deliberately added to force you to bust out or make it harder to cashout. It appears the bonus was automatically triggered as part of your original signup promotion so I dont see how it could be considered 'trickery' by FL.

As I said its just one of those highly unusual situations which, I agree, could easily have been solved by just removing the bonus.

Point being this, specifically: Many MG groups are crediting bonuses, instantly upon deposits. That FL has opted to not employ this automatic bonus crediting, along with many other things, including but not limited to sending promotional emails and displaying promotional pages in their casino software for bonuses when the promotion has already been fulfilled at one of the sites within the group and is no longer available, IMO opinion, if not specifically designed to get over on the player, demonstrates a gross lack of due diligence on FLs part that the player gets a fair shake.

Even if I were to give FL the benefit of doubt in reagards to intentionally snaring players into unwanted bonuses with high WRs or depositing upon seeing what appear to be a valid, ongoing bonus offers when, in fact, that offer is void, that these mechanisms are in place, still, today, is a still a stiff slap in the face to their customers. And that's bad enough. And from the numerous posts in this forum which have, repeatedly, called attention to these very issues going back as far as I can remember, FLs inaction in these matters can only be interpreted to mean, "f the players!"

@ Nifty29, no offense, but are you a casino affiliate? More specifically an affiliate of FL? I don't mean anything by that other than this forum doesn't identify members who are affiliates, as I definitely think it should, (for example next to their avatar under their handle - "Online Casino Affiliate" vs "Senior Member, etc.") so it's difficult for me to ever know who I am replying to or what their motivation may, actually, be.

I am an affiliate but been playing at fortune for many year.I get an email every Wednesday as do most players i suspect that gives you a % of your next deposit.I usually get offer 30% up to $800.I don't think the support people stuff a players account with a bonus when you do a withdraw ,likely you deposited and was eligible for a bonus and it was applied to your acct automatically.Don't think they or any casino has the man power to manually process bonuses.

I know what you're getting at, as I see all the time where affiliates of certain casinos/brands chime in and try to trivialise player views or complaints and it annoys me too. Any affiliate with an ounce of decency would always be open to the possibility they are backing the wrong horse - but almost everyday here at CM you will see the self-promoters taking the opportunity to fluff their feathers and defend unacceptable behaviour by the casinos they advertise. Some of the Rival affiliates are a prime example....but thats for another thread on a another day.

I know its annoying Bern, but my past experience of 6 years with FL is that they dont go out of their way to make things difficult or do anything dodgy to prevent a player winning. It might be a case of imcompetence in regards to the pop-up bonus offer issue (although that was Belle Rock no?) and not just removing the bonus in your situation, but deliberate rogue behaviour?.....IMO very unlikely.

Not deliberate? OK. A scheduled bonus? That's their claim and even though I've had a 7 Sultans account since 2005, they closed it for inactivity, reopened it when I started playing FL again, and have been bonusing me on the 1st deposit of each month - an ongoing new account promo consisting of 6 months of 1st deposit of each month deposit bonuses, even if I skip a few months, so that it stretches to 9 or 10 months, fine!

But they still manage to pop up a Live Chat no matter how many times I intentionally fail a deposit either by putting in a deposit amount way over what's on my pre-paid debit card or choosing an eWallet deposit when my eWallet is empty. That they credit bonuses, in the middle of game play, has always stuck in my craw. Playtech support used to "pop up" in the middle of play to pitch a bonus for an additional deposit. I'd say, "I'f I were playing this slot in a B/M casino, would you run out from behind the cashier's cage to jump between me and the slot I was playing to pitch me this BS?"

But if FL did that to see if I still wanted a deposit match bonus that could only hinder me, after the need had evaporated, more than an hour after I deposited, that kind of interruption I could appreciate. Rogue? NO. Deliberately dodgey? Ok. Not even. Total disregard for WTF I may happen to be going through? Abso-fkn-lutely!!!

This is one the annoying things about the FL group how the bonsues are never credited instantly. I used to play there alot - was Vip, and this caught me out a few times. At least 4 or 5 times it took around 10 hours for a bonus to credit. I do know you have to opt into the bonus but its easy to forget you have a bonus attatched if making lots of small deposits. And (slight de-rail ) for the most part FL bonuses suck 20% up to 100 or 150 etc usless. I did actually get a good offer this past week 120% up to £1000 as I aint played there in ages , they seem to offer bigger n bigger bonuses when you stop playing. But even though its a good offer, as they no longer flush - I no longer deposit. One of my own private no terms n cons :cool:

I can say though they never credited me a bonus that i did not opt into mid play. And if they have done this its pretty crap in my view
