I find the lynch mob mentality on this forum far worse. Tracking his work place and email address to locate him to embarrass him for sending crap emails is just plain stupid and immature.

I would understand the logic if he was a paedophile but lets be honest, he is just a douche who was shitty at losing his winnings and took it out on casino staff.

I am curious if <snip> also authorised the two emails to be released to everyone on the internet?? Or was it just one party did so that's acceptable?? We only have one side of the story with one email and message from one person. We don't know what was said back and forward or in what context.

For the record what he said in the emails was plain wrong and crass and no one (male or female) should receive emails like that period however I think slagging out individual players on the internet is wrong also.

I've removed the thread that theslotsking was referring to.

I believe that trolls should be called out in public, but when there are underlying issues as well as being troll-like, it's not worth it.

Gambling is supposed to be fun, but when it's not - it's not.

This guy needs help, and I hope he can find what he needs.

I was going to post the same thing myself yesterday, but did not as people would think I'm looking for a fight.

We all agree his comments are wrong and rude, but he clearly has serious issues. I felt the Admin of the site has a duty to set a tone that bullying or trolling online is not the right way to go about it, simply sharing what he wrote was enough. Not giving out his name and personal e-mails, which then encouraged a few people to go all white knight.

Asking people to find out where he works? Too far.

I posted my thoughts on this yesterday, I am not an advocate of retaliation in this instance - do any of us know if the individual has mental health issues or the circumstances behind his tirade, common sense prevailed in the end.

I respectfully disagree. People behaving like that deserve to be called out. You get what you settle for and if you let people get away with shit behaviour then you effectively encourage them to continue. If someone behaved like that in public it would be perfectly reasonable to call the cops. He'd probably leave the scene in handcuffs which is exactly what he would have coming to him for behaving like a raging asshole. I don't think the inherent anonymity of the web should be accepted as a cloak of invulnerability for people doing dirt to others.

I had mixed views on this when I saw it posted, and is why I didn't post in the thread.

However, someone should not be allowed to send emails like that thinking they are safe sitting behind a computer screen, so being called out on it is a good thing.

If CM was based in the UK then posting what was would have been a definite no no, clear breach of data protection, but it isn't so it isn't :).

I don't see why the thread was deleted, it should be here so people can see what reps have to deal with, most likely on a daily/weekly basis, even if the email addresses were removed.

As a community and an engine to voice our concerns, and also for this community to have the back of the casino representatives, then I personally feel that it has to swing both ways.

If its okay for users to come on and verbally bach a casino when they are in the wrong, and then for that casino to have and industry wide warning put against them, then surely it should be okay to work the other way around.

The customers details werent posted without cast iron proof he was being a nuisance.

In short. Dont be a cock. And you wont get called out.

My opinion is probably different to some but I think it is a bit different. We give opinions and ratings on casino's, a corporate identity. Our opinion on these doesn't personally affect an individual. Of the casino's that have acted fraudulently that are listed in the rogue list how many actual individuals are named on here. When dealing with casino staff members for the most part we are only given one name, even when dealing with managers.

Like I said in my previous posting, the emails were appalling but perhaps its something that should be left between the business and customer rather than online forums?? If other large companies began posting letters online from their customers there would be an outcry and I don't see why this is any different.

Remember Tropica casino and why they failed BBF?

https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/threads/tropica-casino-rival-casino-cancelled-bbf.64059/

I will quote Bryan:

Unfortunately, I'm cancelling the BBF. A member brought this thread to my attention last night (posted at Askgamblers), and after reading this, I cannot allow this casino to be listed as an Accredited Casino at Casinomeister:
You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.

Normally, I do not act on what goes on at other websites. But the responses from the casino peeps are not only highly unprofessional, they are rather disturbing.

I hate chargebackers just as much as the next guy, but I would never stoop to vehement aspersions and threatening language - some of which could are highly questionable (contacting family and friends?). No business should behave like this - and any business that conducts itself just cannot be listed here. To allow Tropica to continue its BBF at Casinomeister would not only tarnish the Casinomeister brand, but would also affect my personal reputation as well.

Sorry Tropica, but I'm placing you in the "Reservation".

I hope you guys see where am going with this?

For me he revoked his right to anonymity in this site by abusing a valued Casinomeister rep. But yes I totally understand that others have a different view.

Yeah, he saw all the 1,231 Casino Rewards marketing e-mails in his inbox one morning and had a breakdown. :D:D

Very good decision and very happy you have done this. I would just like to say I feel the same way as the O.P. and am not thrilled by seeing these type of threads as you and this forum all use to be 100% friendly troll free and it's feeling like it's getting away from that a lil bit.

Anyway I am your twin brother Casinomeister in the fact that I fight for people/companies to do the right thing and to follow the laws so I get fired up myself so I understand what you were thinking but posting people's info is not the way to go and I would hate to see actions taken against you and have the forum shut down or something when at the end of the day through our frustrations we all have a good thing going where we have a place for casino reps to help us out with issues and people like yourself and your sidekicks to help us out if we have been wronged by a casino.:)

This my friend is what sets you apart from most of the planet who areSHEEP

I was shocked when I seen it was the Admin who created such a thread, and then after a while embarrassed for him, which he must have seen the light as he has removed it himself.

The reaction on the thread was like one would expect for a sex offender, not some gambling addict who sends abusive e-mails and we have all had them in all our time on the internet. So combination of the white knighting and witch hunt has slightly tarnished this sites image for me. Throw in the fact your post above from him shows what contradicting people human beings are.

Finally the most creepy part was a few members actually googling round for his information.

All because a woman received abusive e-mails, and some might say why does this matter. Well it matters because white knighting only happens when it involves females.

Anyway the cringing episode is over, we all live and learn I hope.

The thing is, those of us who deal with scores of scammy players get fed up. This site is abused by them, my time wasted, and customer support personnel get beat up by them as well. Renee has thick skin and can handle it. Me, I've heard and seen worse, but there are a number of casino employees who are single moms - barely rubbing two dimes together from a thankless and sometimes a meaningless job. Emails like we saw can be emotionally damaging, to someone depressive or who is in a really bad place - and the perpetrators should be called out on it.

There is no room for vicious trolls - well there is no room from them on my side of the island.

On top of it, it seemed he was pulling a scam - self excluding, demanding refunds etc. He had a history. We have seen it all too often, and personally I was fed up - thus the action I took.

But he contacted me and made some explanations that made sense. You see, there are scammers who will try any trick they can think of to screw a business out of its livelihood - unfairly, and with malicious intent. And then there are players who will try any trick in the book to gamble - even when they have been banned throughout the Internet. They are that addicted. They have lost their self esteem - gone into serious debt and have no seemingly way out. This player falls into that category - thus his behavior, and thus the removal of that thread.

He is seeking help - and I wish him the best of luck.

Well informed and well written post.
I Agree totally on your forum any 'evil player' should be called out, totally. As I believe you do it with the basis of good previous information and also understanding and no malice.
However, to want to contact a persons work place or search for them via the internet by some members I find rather disturbing, since when is this a vigilante saloon? That would solve nothing at all with members holding a personal vendetta to a poster who clearly as you have explained has problems in there personal life.
By all means name and shame a evil player and ban them, but let's just leave it at that people...some of the lengths people described wanting to go to regarding this is frankly twisted.
In no way at all do I condone this players dialogue, its abhorrent, and in no workplace should anyone have to endure that one bit. As vulnerable and clearly having problems and issues as the guy had we all know right from wrong and the correct way to treat a fellow person, well at least I hope we all do. But that's no excuse on his part either.
Good to see the casinomeister himself post and clarify this.
It's what sets this forum apart from others.

Sad, so sad. He doesn't hate Renee, or you, or us but just himself. Sounds like he's in a bad place but hopefully one day he'll look back on this matter and shudder at how low he sunk before beating the demons.

Some random addict who lost more than he can afford, insulted some rep with swear words. So Admin encouraged people to abuse and contact his work place or anyone related to him. A few members being the sheep they're then looked up his details and one even suggested he was a convicted sex offender(which he is not).

Frankly the people who run this site are lucky he is not taking action. Laws exist to stop this sort of stuff.

Yes I do hope he gets the help he needs for himself and his family. Living with an addict of any kind is very difficult and one wonders how he treats others in his daily life. It's sad to see somebody get to this stage. This person is the poster child for the slogan "If the fun stops stop". Truly sad but still no excuse for the way he treated Renee.

I totally and utterly agree with you. And I wonder why that thread has been taken down now?...
and the sheep I also agree with, sadly these people spoil what in essence is a free speech online casino forum.
Be rather interesting to see if this is actually addressed properly, or just put at the back of the cupboard hopefully to be forgotten about by some.
Seen this happen here before with certain casinos also certain issues.

It will be forgotten because everyone involved is slightly embarrassed. What I did not get is how people did not see straight away this guy was clearly having mental issues. NO ONE sends messages like that who is happy, so last thing he needed was a witch hunt.

If this guy had for example been contacted at work like it was hinted at, he might have killed himself.

Does a man deserve death for swear words wrote online? People take the internet too serious nowadays, and not just this site but all over internet people love jumping on a revenge type hunt.

See Bryan's post and explanation of why it was taken down. I am not sure what you are implying by sheep spoiling free speech and frankly I find members calling other members sheep and agreeing with that term offensive. People posted their opinions about the e-mail and PM and yes I agree some took it too far and Bryan was correct to take it down.
