sad news, but a good innings of 91. created lots of great movie music, without which the films wouldn't have been the same classics.

I loved Westerns as a boy and the music was a massive part of it despite it not being recognized as such by many. If they removed the musical scores from movies then I can imagine the difference it would make. He has had a great innings

Fistful of Dollars - what a soundtrack! Atmospheric and original.

Music can make a good movie great and without an epic soundtrack its just not epic.

Have a couple of soundtrack LP's with this mans work on them.

Yes a great innings and a life seemingly full and worthwhile.

Sad news, some of his scores where immense, used birds to crushing sticks.
Man was a genius and set the tone that made many films great infact.

Had a quick look and found one im lucky enough to have in mint....



The one i was looking for was this which i used to play on my old Binatone as a kid....



But the one to have it seems is this.....



One of my favs would be For A Few Dollars More but i am biased because of the film.

I love the originality of the vocals in this....


Edit: I wonder what will be chosen for his funeral music.
