I am going to have to agree with Nifty who said...
I just don't buy the whole "oh we're housebound so we have to play here" or the "its just like buying a pizza" angle. In fact, I would go so far as to say it is absurd.

and with Ksech who said
Sorry, but I have a really BIG problem with the bolded first part of this statement. If they are on limited funds, why are they spending $99 on a game which will give them NOTHING in return??? And how many times a month are they doing this?

First about Niftys comment...I am just about housebound, there are literally thousands of games online or on facebook you can play without leaving your house. So those comments from the OP ARE absurd.

Second about Ksechs comment...If they are on limited funds they shouldn't be dishing out $99 for anything but what they need. $99 is A LOT OF PIZZA!!!

If it's the "social" thing you enjoy, chatting along with everyone (I haven't looked into it myself, I don't belong to facebook, so I'm not sure if you even can chat) again, there are PLENTY of places online to go without spending that kind of money.

Platinum...if you and your friends enjoy it that much, contact who you need to contact, boycott the game, reach out to all your friends and GO AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT...if you can't, then stop spending money on this, stop complaining about it and move on.

I'm just not really sure what it is exactly that she wants us to do.

Not play there? I think it's a pretty safe assumption that most of the people who belong to this forum play for real chips.

Ask them to stop doing whatever they're doing? I can email them but I don't think they'll listen.

Find her chips? I can check around my desk but other than that, I don't really know where else to look.

Form a mob? I don't own a pitchfork or a torch. Besides, my skills in a confrontation are usually more suited toward sarcastic annoyance than angry rioter. I wouldn't even know what to wear.

Holy shit!!! I just burst out laughing and spit all over my laptop, my eyes are watering!!! (especially the last sentence, omg I'm dying)

I admire your tenacity

Platinum,

Social Media is a very powerful tool, I have dealt with Facebook before, and you are correct they do turn a blind eye, when it comes to their profit margin.

They are notorious for the free speech thing, there have been many cases of bullying other children, even suicides, and they refuse to edit or take down or stifle and /or sensor anyone.

My advice is this,

1. Start your OWN Facebook page about DDC Casino, about players being ripped off and have the wall where players can post daily how many chips were confiscated with no refunds etc.

Have strike days where all your members do not patronize their site, this WILL make a difference if you have many followers.

2. Go to the I-Gaming reps here on the first page of the forum and send a (PM-private msg) and see if the IGT rep responds, if you get no response, at least you can say you tried.

Good Luck to you and your friends, it does not feel good to be taken advantage of, I am sorry for you, I would be mad also.

Go start your page now.:p

I too, like Justplay, was reading this post and sipping my diet-pepsi at the same time and ended up spitting my pepsi all over my puter, from laughing so hard.

But later went to my closet and found something perfect to wear, jk.

All of us who post and feel we have been taken advantage of, do feel vindicated when we get positive responses, I know how you feel etc.

When you don't get them you feel like, how come you are not as mad as I am?

Simply because it is personal, it is NOT happening to you, just me, I get it. Don't like it, but I get it.

What skiny's post revealed here, was that yes deep down we all want to Riot, form a Mob we want others to read our posts and say Not Fair.

In reality, just being heard is enough.

I've been in contact with IGT on this, and Double Down is one of their subsidiaries. Complaints for DD go through the Attorney General's office - I'm not sure whether or not this has been done, but that is the route to take if one has a legitimate complaint.

When I get the contact info for the AG's office, I'll post it.

That seems odd, surely a procedure designed to stifle complaints, not deal with them.

Too late now, I CANNOT trust any Facebook app that handles the kind of money I put through casinos. If funds "disappear" from an online casino, this is a big issue that strikes at the heart of trust in the reliabilty of the software and "back end" systems. Even worse when no trace of what happened is kept. It seems the fact that there is no means to pull chips back into real money has lead them to cut corners and the app does not keep a secure record of transactions within the app. It also suggests it can be "hacked" because of these same lax procedures, and they have even provided for this in the terms of use, which are way over the top for what is merely a fun app.
Facebook, and it's own "facebook credits" system don't seem that reliable either, as Facebook don't seem to care about this issue.

Thank you for actually understanding the situation

First of all thank you for replying in a rational, intelligent fashion.
This is IGT we're talking about one of the foremost slot creators in the world, The most high-tech company around the world and absolutely NO excuse for millions of chips being stolen and not put back....We do strike once or twice a month. These people go as far as to tell their customers to 'like' the page and then they'll be rewarded. problem is?? That is also a lie and most didn't get the free chips promised. I have personally sent emails to IGT website, to all of the owners...and down the line, with nothing
When you have support send you an email that says' You lost millions of chips too bad .,.
or, in reply to your slots are horribly tight now forcing us to have to buy chips to play....and you get 'You're just going through a 'gray' period in gambling' Etc you are dealing with CROOKS
What do I want you to do you ask? I thought after many of you being here for over ten years, you must have seen it all and known the correct people to report this app to.
Don't worry we're doing without your help now...and maybe if they DO start up with their real gambling and they can't cheat you can thank us for exposing them
thanks again for such an understanding post.

You strike.

Nothing changes.

You deposit again.

I don't get it. If a casino was refusing to pay a withdrawal, would you go ahead and deposit again?

It's madness.

Yes, then they would come to CM, start a thread about XYZ casino being CROOKS, robbing players of winnings, unfairly bonus banning players, etc., etc....

I don't understand the "mentality" either, apparently I've missed something here too. Paying REAL money for virtual chips to WIN virtual chips by people who are on fixed incomes (according to platinumz). It's not like DDC is the ONLY facebook casino app these people can play at for free...

I don't understand why they aren't playing at

Not strike, try a "play to rule".

Decide as a group that you will ONLY play on the free chips given away each day. When they are gone, so are you. Let them know that you are NOT going to play a fake casino with real money, and that your real money is being spent in a REAL casino, one where if you win, you can actually cash out.

I have been trying a similar Facebook app run by Microgaming, and it seems they are trying to pull the same stunt. Not disappearing chips, but a steady erosion of the daily free chips and increased promotion of "chip sales" where you can by loads of extra chips for real money. I have NEVER bought chips with real money, I have just played less and less with the lower number of free chips. Compared to proper online casinos, this Microgaming app is boring, and I can also say that the Microgaming slots offered have been "fiddled with", and do not play as they do in a proper Microgaming casino. For a start, there are no multipliers on the free spins, the most obvious sign that there has been some tampering. They recently changed the bonus rounds on Alley Cats, something you will NEVER see happening to the real money version of this game at a Microgaming casino.

All the apps have one thing in common, they lure you in with loads of free stuff until they have built up a fan base, then they cut back the freebies and push for real money to be spent on worthless virtual goods. Farmville is just as bad.

Exactly! Even if they want to play these games, can't they download an IGT casino and play in funmode? Or anyone of the accredited casinos have funmode they could play at if they don't want to "pay to play" (which doesn't seem to be the case since they are paying for virtual chips anyways).

I guess I'm just too "dense" to follow their reasoning behind all of this paying for virtual chips to win nothing except for the fact that it's for entertainment...
I do understand platinumz's concern that WHEN/IF DDC becomes a real online casino, that this will be a big issue. But it would seem to me that there would have to be some type of regulation before this becomes a reality?

@VWM...I keep getting "invites" to go back and play at Clickfun casino (which has MG games, is this the one you are referring to?), they've just added the bonus round to snow hunnies (?) (the one where you throw the snowballs). Most of the games are lacking the normal bonus features, so all you do is just spin and spin and spin....just to level up to gain more tokens to play with.

Yes, it's Clickfun. "buggered about with" Microgaming slots. They used to give away far more free chips than they do now. Every hour you can claim chips based on your level, but a while ago they halved the allowance across the board, and drastically cut the number of giveaways on their Facebook page. They are now offering some "double free chip" offers, which is simply back to the SINGLE free chips that we used to get 2 or 3 times a day. It's now 2 or 3 times a WEEK. In contrast, they are pushing the PURCHASE of chips at heavily discounted rates.

I did buy chips to play the Microgaming games, I made a deposit at 32Red:p

Hold your Horses

Did I read correst, ksech wrote you can download IGT games and play in free mode.

Is this correct?

Whoa Nelly if this is correct and they are the same games, then we seriously need to get this info to poor plantinumz.

On another note, I don't get the paying real money for fun mode games, but I never got the Pet Rock thing either, and that guy made millions, when you could go out and get rocks for free.

Actually for about $79.96 for about $20 less than one single purchase of chips from DDC. You can buy a whole slew of IGT games from Masque. Which then allows unlimited play of IGT games without any need of additional chip purchase or anything. They currently offer 4 different packages of IGT games.
I have also done the same with WMS slots. I paid $30.00 and can play WMS slots whenever I am bored and really have nothing better to do.
Sure you can be entertained with these types of machines and save lots of money in the long run?

You can buy a whole slew of IGT games from Masque.

That's exactly what I was talking about.

If it's real casino games you are after, Masque probably sells the disk.

I had a few back when I didn't know I could win or lose real money online. Boy, I am sure lucky I found a casino!

All joking aside, what did you expect CM to do for you? I can understand the complaint and whatnots but I just can't wrap my head around the entire idea.

If it's entertainment you're after there are a ton, and I literally mean a ton of online casinos that people can play for free. I still don't know why in the world anyone would pay for it.

Just one Google search would have found months of entertainment at no cost.

Idk. This just seems to be going in circles anymore.

Well here's the summary of complaints I am seeing about what's going on

1) OP is buying the credits which then results in one or two things
a) sometimes the credits never get credited (which in this case, I would file a complaint right away, causing them to research why the credits never showed up)
b) sometimes the credits are received but then amongst the several upgrades that DDC does a month, magically there credits just dissapear
2) The OP is also upset that there not getting near the amount of freebies they once got. Whether they did the freebies as a mass promotion, or something personal when something went wrong.
3) The OP is not satisfied with the answer there getting from IGT, so I'm thinking there not getting a very good response from facebook either.
4) So now the suggestion is to contact the IGT rep, which apparently Bryan has some form of connection to them. Which now the OP has been advised to contact the Attorney General to file a complaint.

Either way parts of the story, doesn't add up. I mean I get that at times credits disappear in upgrades and what not. Yet I'm finding it hard to believe that between DDC and Facebook complaint resolution team. That someone hasn't stepped up to the plate to resolve this issue with the OP. It really shouldn't take the AG office to get involved to get what to me. Would be a simple refund or getting credit when do issue resolved.
The other part like what has been repeated was if the credits really are disappearing as frequently as said. Why would you continue to make further purchases of game credits.
Like I said other than the maybe for the social aspect of online games. Why not just buy a disc of real casino games, and play the versus making repeated purchases of credits and an online social networking casino, that or find close to as human possible without violating copyrights slots online.

First of all it DOES add up. Yes we complain about not getting the same types of amounts of chips we got for three years, because it makes it virtually impossible now, to play for over five minutes on what they give all of us......the slots are SO tight. ...that they go so fast even when you get a bigger amounts. We figured this was to force us who have been playing there for four years to BUY chips where we never did before GO read their fan page, we've contacted Facebook they do not respond. We contact IGT nothing, Their slot support is the most sarcastic I have ever encountered and they pretty much are guitly and shine you on They SHOULD be forced to do one of two things. ..either be removed from Facebook as a fraud scam site they are becoming, AND?/OR be foreced to refund any monies' that people may have spent to enjoy the games there... To say that it 'doestn' add up' to me, is saying I am not being honest and I resent that remark which is why I was defensive before. Many of yo ufeel you can insult someones character it seems and that's 'alright' because of your status I presume...However, fact is, these people bill themselves as a casino that although they are 'virtual' for now, will be going for the real money soon....THey have unethical dishonest policies and I do not think they should even considererd for this right ...when only six certificates (so i have been told) are issued at a time for casino's to go online. They should be banned or straighten up All the things that have been suggested to me has been tried to no availe which is why I came here and frankly you think this thread is stupid, I have done nothing but waste my own good time.

When we get it straightened out, some one may thank us for putting the eye on this bunch of potential crooks..... IGT member/ I have seen no rep and as someone said, they have not been on here since April Surely he/she has seen this thread and made no contact or attempt to try to reason or explain

Ring around the rosy...

Ok. We get it.

What now?

I mean I don't understand what you would like us to do.

Skiny grab your trench and let's git er done?!?

I have the pitch fork, I borrowed it from the Cash for Comment man.

The ONLY thing you can do is let your money do the talking I guess. STOP buying nothing.

Lollipops Out Ladies!

Doubledown Casino broke the most serious law!

Hi,

For what you have not realised is that DoubleDown Casino had broken the most serious law!

For some reason:

Some country like Australia are banned from playing IGT online casino either free play or real money. That DoubleDown casino allowed us to play which is totally illegal. They should have knew it first place that it is NOT allowed. IGT can only be played at the pub and onsite casino in Australia. I can't believed that they got away with it allow it. I hope the serious authorisation will take these down asap and stop BS around with it, do it now before its too late. IGT could have take you to court and sue you for large amount of money if you keep that going the more expensive the lawsuit it gonna be.

Those payout rate are not true. If they put IGT there, they supposed to leave payout rate there as IGT set at factory default. If you modify it, you are cheating! Cheating isn't allowed. The more low pay they get the more chips they have to buy without winning any money is a theft. I do hope everyone on facebook should stay away from ANY facebook casino including slots, poker etc. I have stayed away from them since cos I clearly knew it is not good enough. If you have run out of chips, just wait till next day to get free chips are the best way you can do about just avoid purchase more chips if you still like to play thats fine.

Or, alternatively, you could jab Britney and shave her.......

Hasn't that been done already?

Yeah, Nifty and Skiny.....our own personal Cheech and Chong. No man, Dave's not here....

@platinumz - I'm sure BEFORE DDC will be able to go live there will be strict enforcement of financial dealings. No one here is insulting your character, we don't really KNOW you. What we are saying is... we don't understand WHY you would continue paying for something you feel you are being ripped off for. WHEN/IF they go live, and your friends who are paying to play live in the US, they will no longer be able to play at DDC because of the UIGEA. Now would be a good time to make the break to a new type of game?

Did you make any attempt to try and contact the IGT rep here ( I seem to recall someone gave you the link to the rep...Mousey maybe?)??? We aren't trying to be obtuse, but you too, seem to be suffering from tunnel vision and aren't "seeing" the help that was offered. You seem singularly minded in your pursuit for justice that you won't even consider what anyone is saying here. Not all has been smartass replies...

Excuse me, if i turn my back on their illegal activities, then more will be subject to their financial abuse Read what our friend from Austrailia say...they are dishonest and I have contacted MANY IGT REPS with the same response, NOTHING...I am not a fool but it appears that there are many here who don't get it. Who said I am continuing to pay to pay them?? Go read their fan page,.....we were used to being treated fairly by the old owners, and since IGT has taken it over nothing but consumer fraud. Wether or not you agree with people paying for virtual chips or not, bottom line that IGT the biggest slot creators and most high=tech in the world are claming that they have technical problems...then steal back chips people are paying for with no recourse....I tried to help the consumers get their money back and most of you mocked it ...to which i say thanks for nothing

Why would I want to let others pay money, for virtual chips. ....and then lose their money with no way to get it back? We have boycotted them many times, unliked their fan page, and sent warnings to many people...They are going to be allowed to get away with this as long as no one complains or does anything.

I came here thinking that the 'know all' casino goers would have some sort of good advice as how to prevent and stop this. How do any of you know I didn't try to contact the IGT rep? Many of you tell me I 'haven't'...I have gone directly to the IGT companies and sent the same emails to them all They are not going to respond and in fact, changed all of their 'terms' of service' without many even knowing or agreeing to it, before going to their games.
They are dishonest to the hilt and if nothing else, It's out there now for all to see...Maybe my 'silly complaining' as many of you seem to think wil make someone stop before plunking any more money into their app.

Oh but then, I forgot you're all too 'smart' for that....At least I know I tried to help others...

You actually did everything you could do in this thread after your first post. You told everyone what was going on. That's pretty much all you can do in a forum message.

Since then if you've contacted Facebook, contacted the "casino" or contacted the software company, that's great. You've tried to help.

I'm still not sure what exactly it is you want everyone else to do. It's starting to look like you're angrier at everyone here than you are at DoubleDown. You really need to look at this from everyone else's perspective. This is a forum dedicated to helping gamblers. It's unlikely people are going to get all that worked up about a casino where you can't actually win anything.

The way most people are going to see this is - if you can't win money, it's not a casino. If I played some online wizard game and came in here ranting that someone stole my magic bag I don't think anyone is really going to care. If I wasted my real money purchasing ten pounds of magic powder and came back the next day to find my magic powder buckets empty I'd be a little pissed too. I might even call them liars, cheats and thieves too but I wouldn't expect everyone else to jump on my magic bandwagon.

People come around here pissed off about a lot of different things. Most people understand that not everyone is going to be equally emotional about every topic. Unless a real casino is truly ripping someone off, some people aren't even going to care. I don't disagree with anything you're saying. I just think you're barking up the wrong tree here.

By the way, I know exactly where my magic bag is so don't try anything.

Phew!

I'm so glad you're not a fool.

Since you're not......I'll just warn you so you can tell others who might be fools....doubledown casino is selling fake chips for $99 a pop.....STAY AWAY....they will remove them after a few days and you'll have to spend ANOTHER $99!!

Be warned!!!

But I casted the "You can't steal my money spell!"

This is bullshit.

Where's my credit card?

You seriously misjudge us. That thread would run and run ;)

This is still going? I would have thought this thread would be locked by now. 10 pages...

Kinda thinking that myself but it does have a sort of compelling fascination aspect. Hmmm.

Yeah like watching clothes in a spin dryer. ;) The same colors and shapes going across the window in a slightly different pattern...endlessly changing and yet remaining essentially the same.

Dude, I think I found skiny's magic bag....my hands are huge...I want some ice cream (giggle) What? OMG did you hear that? :p

I think you're right. And nobody would ridicule me for being angry about it either. Shame it would be me as the OP though. I'd have had so much fun with it as an innocent reader.

That's not my magic bag.

Now get off me, you're crushing my smokes.

@platinumz - WOW! Not anywhere in my post did I state you HADN'T tried to contact an IGT rep, I simply asked if you had contacted the IGT rep HERE. As skiny and Nifty29 previously stated, this is a gambling forum. Most people who come here file complaints against REAL online casnios, not ones you buy virtual chips to win virtual chips. Also, (maybe I misread this 7 or 8 pages ago...) but I thought you had stated players were STILL paying for chips and were still getting robbed

Anyone who does a google search for DDC will now be aware of this problem here on CM because YOU were the one who brought this out in the open for others to be aware of. Kudos to you! I'm sure those you are trying to help appreciate ALL you have/are doing for them. Again, kudos to you! I don't know if you thought Bryan (CM) has/had the power to "topple" them (which is kind of an abstraction notion since CM isn't partnered with FB or DDC), or exactly what your expectations of the forum were?

You've brought the problem out in the open, making the public aware (one goal accomplished). Not quite certain what else the forum can be useful for at this point. Maybe, once it does go live, that will be a different story. Then maybe there is something Casinomeister can do to "assist" you in making certain players are protected from unscrupulous business practices.

It doesn't do any good getting angry with the members, it's a forum, we can only offer advice, suggestions, a shoulder to cry on, and ear to listen (we've done all of the above). Maybe we can start a new virtual game with skiny and Nifty29 leading a pack of angry rioters against any "unscrupulous" FB game. Brooklyn with her pitchfork and any others who want to join in...

Ummm chayton??? I don't think I wanna know what parts (magical or non-magical) of skiny you are grabbing my dear :p
