Thanks Rocky - I'm not sure what you mean by this, but answer how this is "SELF SERVING"...

Someone else said I had an agenda...

Please take a moment and explain how you mean "SELF SERVING"

or what you mean by agenda...

Cause the only "AGENDA" I have here is to publicly announce that behavior I have witnessed has been HORRIBLE. And to say I'm sick of it.

I'm sick of people thinking it is OK to act like this on a public forum.

So - what is my agenda - and what is self serving about that?

for one you are displaying a super out of control ego thats some thing in it self only you can put a cap on if you can address that then the rest will fall into place

PS just look at the amount of very large posts you have made in a thread that you are the originator of and punctuated by the color codes and extreme caps
best signed off respectively R C

I'm sorry rocky - I'm not getting what you're saying here.

You're saying that by telling others that their behavior is unacceptable in a public place I have a huge ego?

Is that correct?

I mean - if you walked past a bunch of punk kids kicking an old lady up against a wall - would you just walk by?

OK - now we all know I write a ton. Sorry - just me - it's not meant to be offensive - just the way I am.

Color codes and extreme caps? I don't get it - some people want me to post this way or that way...

Do you simply understand the point I am trying to make?

This is a public forum.
This Forum is a BUSINESS
PEOPLE should treat other PEOPLE with decency and civility.

How is that a super ego?

I post a lot - because that is what I do... But have I been vulgar or rude or vicious or hating on or to anyone? Have I cussed anyone out and told them to "F" off?

I'd really like to know how you equated my posting with EGO - because it took a lot of guts for me to stand up and say these things.

It took a lot of guts for me to finally get offended and extremely angry at the way people are being treated.

This should be a safe zone - where gamblers and casinos can come together and work things out.

Or discuss things in a calm - constructive manner.

Not one where we are screaming for people to die or do horrible things.

So - please tell me how that is an EGO?

I don't undertand...

I agree for the most part of what WW is saying, but there is a way to say things.

Some of the recent posts on different threads were nasty, but if Bryan allows that sort of thing, that's his choice.

No one will ever change the way people are. I don't mean just here at this forum, but I mean anywhere. Do I like the way everyone posts? No. Does everyone like the way I post? No. You (general you) just have to go with the flow. I talk to people who I agree with and disagree with. Sometimes it feels like I don't like a particular person, but then I step back and realize, I don't dislike the person, I just have a totally different opinion. Feelings often get in the way of how you (general you) judge a person.

If anyone feels so strongly about certain posts/threads you have a few options....use the ignore button/skip the post/thread all together/sit on it for a few days or hours and decide if you should get into it (reply). There was a thread here that I wanted to reply to, but decided against it, because I knew it would cause me stress. Yes, that seems strange, but some people like me get stressed about certain topics.

WW, the only advice I would give anyone, including myself, if a forum is going in a direction you don't like, you (general you) should find a different forum that you like. OR...follow the directions in the above paragraph.

This forum will never change, I have been here years, it has always been the same. Strong opinions have always been here. People come and go, but the strong opinions will always be the same, by another person who comes, or an oldie who stays.

I appreciate your thoughts on this.

The only point I have been trying to make is that if people don't start speaking up - and just go with the flow... Eventually ALL of us will end up kicking that old lady up against the wall - and then high fiving ourselves after that.

And I don't want to be like that. I don't want to see it.

And no one else is speaking up anymore. They've already been bashed and they didn't like it.

I don't want to go away - but I don't think I'm asking for too much by asking for civility to happen.

The typical mosh pit is fine - but these actions were beyond that.

I just wanted to say thank you for your post tho - it was well written and very well intentioned - and I appreciate you taking the time to write it out.

Give It A Rest WW

The only point I have been trying to make

Here's some stats:

Total pages = 4

Total posts = 31

Posts by WW = 15

It's one thing getting a point across...it's another disrespecting other members opinions and bullying them into submission with a brow beating rhetoric.

You've established your "point" and opinion on post #1 of this thread. And so too in the Marty Davis thread.

Switch the PC off, take a walk, have a cuppa, but please give it a rest...

Cheers

:)

Uhm - you're confusing the issue of me responding to each person's post in a thread or discussion.

Big difference.

The way you posted it makes it look like someone is being rude.

I'm not.

I've started the thread - I'm responding to each persons' post - just like EVERY good host should.

And when did this become an issue of post wars or something?

I mean ---- is there a posting limit stipulated somewhere? Is there an unwritten description of how people should behave?

Because I didn't realize having a decent conversation with people was considered egotistical and rude --- and required a break or someone telling me to turn off my computer.

How odd...

You can't be serious - right? You were trying to be funny right?

And I'm completely surprised at your comment of saying I am disrespecting other people's opinions.. SHOW ME --- Explain how ANYTHING I've said is disrespectful - and how it is so.

But MAKE SURE - you take the thread and the comments in their entirety - and not just chop them up for manipulative benefit.

And if you think what I am doing is bullying - then by god - what have the rest of the people been doing - and why haven't you called THEM out on it?

HMMM?

-

Oh so If person X jumps off a bridge you do too...Who's acting like a child now...

why haven't you called THEM out on it?

If I have a problem with a post I use the appropriate options available to me. If after that it's a problem then Bryan or the other Mod's will take care of it.

someone telling me to turn off my computer.

Bingo!!!

But you don't mind brow beating and bullying CM member(s) who don't agree with you & or what to do with their opinions...ect...ect

Attempt to use quasi justifications to package your thread rants as a debate, proves you hold little respect for other CM members opinions that don't agree with you.

Stamp your feet, yell at the top of your lungs I WANT...blah...blah..blah and continue this soap box drama...but I'm out here.

Cheers

:)

The only reason i enjoy this forum is for the contraversy, i can read this every day and get a good laugh, its almost better than my soap operas i watch:D If i don't like what i see, i don't have to read it, plain and simple, if you don't like the name callin turn off your computer:thumbsup: As for me i enjoy the shit out of it:lolup:

The sentiment behind this thread was good but it's just going in circles and isn't really achieving anything now IMO so ... closed, before it gets out of hand
