Crisis in the middle east.

So well I did not find a thread specific on this topic but wanted to get your views on the matter.

I am not sure if this is allowed to be talked about or not but I saw a Ukraine thread and some other political threads so I thought I would make one.

Questions are:

Are we headed to world war 3?
Will that result in nukes being used?
Is israel to blame?
Is Israel going to retaliate against Iran for those recent air strikes?

Not sure if I can ask the other questions I wanted to ask in case they are deemed to be out of line etc.

Personally I am very concerned but even if it does start world war 3 and nukes do fly at least it will be over fairly quickly. We will not even know and it will be over so fast for all of us anyway in a split millisecond.

Then the likes of Russia/China/North Korea/Iran relationship with eachother could also not be a good thing, because surely if Israel attack Iran in retaliation that would result in a chain reaction and China and Russia would not let that go without them getting involved and if they do get involved then we know where it will lead to......

I just hope that it can be stopped before it starts and Israel decide not to retaliate against Iran. Everyone needs to remain calm and de-escalate the tensions.

They had to retaliate when Israel hit their embassy.
That said, they announced that they would and id say it was mostly 'for show'.

I highly doubt we are heading towards WW3.
And as far as nukes go, i dont think it would be quite as 'pleasant' as you describe it unless you are killed in the blast. Radiation poisoning may just be the worst way out there to die, very slow and gruesome.

Either way i treat it as most other things i cant change, no point worrying about it.

No harm in making the topic as far worse threads, besides at the moment it is relevant.

Would also not be afraid to ask any other questions you have.

Anyway my answers to your questions.

Are we headed to world war 3 and will nukes be used. Probably not to both questions.

Will Israel retaliate. I would say they have no choice but to so think a definite yes.

As to is Israel to blame. Depends on which side you want to take. They are a country that everyone around them hates and they have to show strength. But they are ignoring all advice from their allies especially over Palestine.

Aa for worrying about Russia and China I think the biggest worry is more from USA and UK. They are the 2 nations almost everyone in Middle East hates. And they are the ones that keep getting involved. Even the Iran attack they were helping down the missiles. Be interesting to see if Iran and Neighbours went to all out war with Israel how involved USA would get and what consequences it would bring.

But as kroffe says why worry over something that might not happen. Tho he is also right in saying that if it turned into a nuclear war I'd hope to hell I was living in a blast zone as surviving for a few months after would be horrific.

Well, Israels never been held to account for restraint, so they will never show any.

We could go into: well right to defend itself applies to both sides but that only incurs silly 'woke' (which means nothings these days as people who use it don't know the meaning, if any) or anti semite accusations.

Iran is pretty weak economically, propped up by the Russians and weak in terms of population support - the cynic would argue they knew the missiles would be shot down so i doubt it - for now.

how long they can defend if they spend over $1 billion all time they attack? do tax payers real want to spend over $1b to defend Israel ? or maybe is deal with Russia to spend US UK $ so they forget about Ukraine

My takeaway from posts so far:

I am very close to a city, so if a 2mt Nuke drops I will be toast. If they was just smaller nukes then I would be in fallout.

I mean I do personally think Russia and China would get involved if as others have said, if USA and UK continue to defend Israel at all costs, I highly doubt Russia and China will stay out of it. I am not alone in this theory the evidence is there to see that Iran has very close ties to Russia and China has very close ties with Russia.

North Korea on the other hand has close ties with China more so than Russia, I mean obviously it is not just those countries we need to be afraid of either.

But what I wanted to say was about Israel and from the start since October 7th Israel have said from the start their intensions in Palestine. They stated they will starve them they will cut of water and food supplies so they slowly starve.

That alone is a war crime. I also condemn what Hamas did on October 7th and Israel had the right to defend themselves 100% but Netanyahu has had these plans for Palestine for a long time. It was like he was just waiting for something to happen to follow through with those plans. Sitting and waiting.

I mean you can see it is 100% Genocide what Israel is doing to Gaza now the death toll is far to high, so many children killed. The kill ratio between what Hamas did on October 7th was nothing to what Israel has done to Palestine.

What even is the latest death toll now anyway? 34K 35K and that is not even accurate, most are buried in the rubble of the destroyed buildings I suspect that figure to be double or triple. Israel is not even letting journalists into the country so they can keep trying to cover up the atrocities that the soldiers are committing. Truly shocking.

I am not on any side but I certainly do not want to see innocent people killed. Israel using the excuses they could be Hamas hiding amongst them etc etc.

So yeah I think I am confident that Russia will defend Iran and supply Iran with what is needed, but because Russia is still involved in Ukraine then China might have to aide Russia aide Iran etc.

That is my 2 pennies worth anyway.

So the rule "Attack on one member is an attack on all" Would Iran dare do that? Russia has not yet risked taking it that far. So yeah is Nato really that feared? I am unsure.

they will never use Nuke, they just talking bs, US UK can flat them before they thing of attacking US or UK, dont forget Jordan also help defend Isreal, not many muslim like Iran, they dont feel safe if Iran win

dragon fire laser defence cost £10 per fire, if Iran attack UK with anything they need to past so many Nato radar start from Turkey, dragon fire can kill anything before they even enter EU, US UK they invest a lot on East Europe they have more radar out of UK then in UK, like last Israel defence UK fire from Cyprus, Nato they never used north Macedonia Albania Kosovo defence, witch they have biggest army base in east Europe
