Corona virus - Covid 19 discussion

A whole 3000 of cases, how many deaths that are corona related, take away the fatties, those with asthma or pre existing conditions and this corona is about as lethal as dunovers farts.
You cant just remove half the population from the numbers because they are overweight or have pre-existing conditions tho.
Fatties deserve to live too. :p

But ok, let's put aside the over 36K related deaths (just in England) , we can all accept numbers can be fudged and pre-existing conditions.

But there's more to coronavirus than simply having mild symptoms to the end zone of dying.

There's also life-long complications that can arise. Health issues. Fundamental issues one could deal with....well...forever.

This isnt a flu.

Only going on the science. Obese are more at risk, just like those with pre existing issue..
eat salad folks and stay in groups under 6 in the U.K., you will be except from the Chinese virus.

Too late Ben.

This could be interesting, dated the 11 sept 2020, I must've missed it on friday:

Chinese virologist who fled to the US after claiming Beijing covered up Covid-19 vows to publish evidence PROVING the virus is manmade - and claims even non-scientists will be able to verify the data

School of Public Health, claimed that Beijing knew about the coronavirus well before reports began to emerge.

Dr Yan claimed that reports that Covid-19 originated at a wet market in Wuhan are a 'smoke screen', and that she plans to publish a report she claims has evidence the virus is manmade.

'The first thing is the meat market in Wuhan is a smoke screen and this virus is not from nature,' Dr Yan said.

When asked where the virus comes from, the scientist replied: 'It comes from the lab in Wuhan.'

Read this article in Dutch earlier but I was too lazy to go look for it in English so thanks for posting. Looking forward to the report and if it's true let's hope there's clues in there that could lead to a working cure.

Best thing she could do for her safety is to go public, will probably need to get on Fox and the bigger channels as well, not easy to understand every word but I get the sense she is telling the truth to the best of her knowledge, was not being over dramatic or trying to sell the public a made-up story.

I was watching another video the other day with a professor or doctor, who said finding patient zero was very important in order to understand how this virus made the leap from animal to human.

Yes, she's a little hard to understand.

She's been on Fox back in July and Tucker covered it as well.

Reading the media they are telling us and preparing us without saying it that these lock down restrictions are to last for at least another 3 months. Most likely more. This despite the fact that there is very questionable evidence of there being a spike in deaths from it.
Stocking up on long life foods is my plan

I dont think its the deaths that are the issue, its the fact that once the R number goes above one its pretty much hard to control within the community.
The problem with this virus isnt necessarily the death rates, i.e its probably around 0.6% to 1.2% fatality rate which is 6 - 12 times more than Flu ( with a vaccine that is between 60 and 80% effective), the real problem is nobody knows what the long term impact is on the health of people who recover so we may be storing a timebomb that will explode with respiratory illnesses in 20 years or so.
With it being so infectious and with no vaccine and more importantly no proven therapeutics , people can only guess what the future impacts will be, thats why they are trying to minimise the community spread of the disease.

With respect I will decline to give a proper reply because we wildly differ on the subject but I respect that you have an opinion and I am happy to hear it

Never normally one to post newspaper stories online.

But thought since Dionysus is having a field say with them lol i would post link to one i read. Could be a lot of crap but it sums up what a lot of people feel about Cornavirus and the harm trying to protect from it is actually doing.

Also unrelated to the article here is another point of mine. Flu is also a great killer hence the rason they give so many vaccinations against it. It is September now. Flu jags should be starting. Doctors surgeries still basically closed and jags are going to be massively late. Just imagine the damage a serious outbreak of normal flu could do this year.

But again not important as Coronavirus is the be all and end all.
