I used to work for RTG when they were here in atlanta. I can tell you Virtual Group had the highest number of players. And was RTG best client.
There ya go. And that is why it is so important to try and make sure and let everyone know how evil they are. And if you can stop even one person from playing there, but in the process..end up with people not liking you...which is more important? I'd rather be disliked, than let some other unsuspecting player end up getting sucked into the vortex.
if someone has been called names like Dave...it has been only from the few thousands people(idiots btw) whoom DO know about gambling online and forums world....on the otherside tho...there are billions who do NOT know anything....Im repeating myself.
Im 60 now...few years ago I decided to buy a computer....right? Ok....while learning how to use it...I received a spam or email or whatever ...I dont recall.
so I said let me try....cause Ive always liked the thrill of gambling.
I won.
After I won, I thought ...will I get paid???? Only AFTER I won...
before that,(the win) I didnt give shit about the 50 bux I would have lost.
I deposited just to have some fun.
Now, I won 27K....ahhhhh ok now its getting interesting...I want my money...so I got worried (27 fkkin grands)..and I begun asking people who knew about computer....how to search for something and how could I possibly get paid my winnings....and so on.Why didnt I do it earlier?Cause I didnt care about 50 bux...I relly didnt....a dinner with my wife cost 2x that...and its boring.
Since Im not the most idiot in the world (just out of probabilitys) Im sure that, around the world ....there are other ppl who just bought a computer like I did and occasionally liked to gamble and that did receive an offer.(whatever spamming)
Not all of these ppl know about casinomaister chuchu laurie kakata pinababy and Dave .....actually none knows.
Do you want to undearsteand Pina or not?
I can assure you ....you would love to have me as friend.
You said idiots Kakata...I never used that word.
And you're right, I probably would like you...you seem like a nice guy. I said that you wouldn't like me...alot of people don't. But I don't let stuff like that worry me.
When I first started playing online I played at a couple of rogues before I knew any better - fortunately I never won or tried to cash out. But when you're first starting out online it's the rogue casinos you see plastered all over the place - there are a couple of forums (which will remain nameless) that I used to go to before I even knew what an affiliate (or a casinomeister) was - they had banners and wonderful freebies and deposit offers (deposit $10 and we'll give you a thousand bucks to play with!) and that's where I got suckered in.
Of course once even ONE of those casinos has your email address, you get a whole pile of mails from a bunch of other casinos with wonderful freebies and deposit offers, and being a noob (or maybe a dunce) I signed up at some of those too. I've closed all those accounts years ago but still get phone calls from Christopher DiAngelo offering me even more wonderful things.
EDIT: This is truly bizarre, I just posted this and the phone rang...I picked it up and guess who it was? Christopher DiAngelo! lol....no sh*t.
Before findning this forum, I have used some of the freebies that the rouge ones offer. I also won on one, and when I tried to cash out, they said that there had been a mistake and that my country (sweden) was not able to recibe this bonus (no where else was this information and it was an email directed to me) anyhow thats when I did a search on google and found this place =)
I will never deposit in a rouge casino however I do understand that some people just doesnt know and just get sucked in...
This place is great - wish all people would find it =)
The parts I bolded above really get to the point I'm trying to make. I don't skip too many opportunities to come down on affiliates who promote these places. And where do you think the spam comes from? But don't you think that players also have to take some responsibility?
Here's an analogy....there's a knock at your door, or your phone rings. Some unknown person tells you they are collecting for some new charity, and asks for a donation of $50. How many people would just gladly hand over name, address, date of birth and all their credit card info? Just like that, without doing even the most rudimentary search first to determine if the charity is legit or not?
Monetary amounts are all relative. To me Kakata, $50 is quite a bit of money. To others, I realize it's nothing. But why in the world do people just give up all their personal info without doing any kind of due diligence? A piece of spam from an unknown source in your email....is NO different than a stranger walking up to your front door and asking for your personal information. You wouldn't just fork over $50 to anyone knocking at your door...so why are people so trusting online, when it's even more anonymous? That's the part that I don't get. Am I so much more jaded than everyone else....that I trust no one? Or is it as Kakata stated...that to alot of people, it's the fact that a $25 or $50 deposit means nothing?
The average online player wouldn't answer one of those Nigerian scam emails that pops up in their email...so why is a piece of spam from an online casino any different? Why isn't it treated with the same contempt and suspicion? Yet people continue to play at and promote completely unknown entities all the time...even when they know better.
*heavy, heavy sigh*....end of soapbox speech!!
EDIT:
Kakata - that was uncalled for mate. You dont intimate that a woman has hormonal issues just because she is passionate about something or getting a little annoyed. I still cant believe you said it actually - very disappointed.
IMO you owe Pina an apology.
No worries on the apology Nifty...it's not necessary. I guess Kakata edited that comment in after, cause it wasn't there when I first replied to/quoted him. But that's okay. I do however appreciate you pointing out the fact that just because someone is passionate about something, doesn't mean they are overly emotional, or suffering from PMS, or whatever. I am who I am...365 days a year, 24 hrs a day, online and off. Actually, when I get overly emotional about something, is when I won't post at all...for fear of going overboard. No worries Kakata...we're good. As you said..it's opinions and nothing more.
Oh..and Chayton...that's freaky!! The Chris D'Angelo thing I mean. Maybe his ears were ringing?
