It might not violate a law to pay you. It would violate responsible gaming regulations. They’re going to err on the side of caution to protect themselves as the fines for not doing so are massive.
Chalk this down to experience. Don’t use someone else’s card to play. Whether it’s a shared account or not.
If you can’t use your own account for gaming for work reasons, open another bank account solely in your name for gaming.

I had become totally mad at knowing how much money I had wasted, it is enough that I know it is millions of dollars I have spent over the years.
I know - because I'm in the same situation - that life feels piss. The thoughts are constantly "think if I could rewind time",
So now you will have all your money back now Jan has sorted the last 9000. Personally think you are very fortunate and should now stop all this and learn from it.
?
That’s not me.
I don’t care about any 9000. I lost them!
I can confirm thats entirely true. You could put Mickey Mouse in as your name and as long as the numbers correctly and postcode (or equivalent) is also correct the payment will process.Nope, AFAIK the current payment systems compare primarily number, expiry date and CVV number. A casino would not see the name on the card until you submit a copy for verification.
You can check your receipts when you pay with your card in a shop. It does not print your name on the receipt.
okay. Just the similar username, the Swedish language and posting on a casino forum made me think that Sajsan121212 and Sajsan12 were one and the same.
Maybe Sajsan121212 is your partner?
I understand that. There is where the BankID argument comes in. Because it’s regulated by law as a legitimate ID-method. In cases where someone misused the BankID, that shouldn’t be up to the casino but the one who had their BankID stolen to report this.
At least that’s how it works in every other case.
Of course it is. Not you as the same person at all is it.Read a bit, that person is someone who self excluded with the international block last year. Could it be my partner? I haven’t read it but probably it can then. Don’t know if I want to read it either.
The last thing I want is this to destroy my relationship.
There’s a lot of not wanting to read things in this thread.
I’m not trying to get at you, insult you or concern you - but if you don’t want to discuss certain things, you’re best to leave the thread and let it die a death naturally.
Have good luck with your future gaming, and be more careful as I and others have suggested.
Sorry we can't accept deposits or gameplay from a card owned by a person who is self-excluded and marked as problem gambler, policy is we void gameplay and return deposits. The deposits on your No Bonus account are therefore returned.
Let’s be realistic here surely if someone was pulling a scam and had been caught out the last thing they would be doing is constantly trying to defend himself on the very thread he started. But doesnt one of your posts say you asked at Hyper if you had an exclusion, so obviously you are aware the implications of having an exclusion.
I have to agree with @harrybkk and @colinsunderland that it looks like a scam from start to finish.
Where is the additional 9000 that they are going to refund coming from?
This was never a part of any scam. Or that I tried in some way to play risk free.
The thing I wonder now is, because this turned out as it did, if my girlfriend now had gambling addiction, and self excluded due to thaton the casinos I’ve been playing at.
Did they do wrong who accepted my deposits?
Did I make deposits for 50k to gamble with “fun money” and never had a chance to actually win?
I never had that in mind at all. Therefore I would appreciate if someone could explain this. Because this, however you see it, been a big loss for me.
What are you trying to achieve here -?
Nothing. It was a question. Like i said, i never had this in mind but as things turned out like this.
I’m in the wrong however I do or whatever I say now or?
I never asked for any deposits back but you guys tells me the casino would do wrong if they accepted deposits with a method like the one I used.
So is it that weird that I ask???
So now you are implying we have motivated you to go back to all the other casinos to try and get your money back!! Go us
This is my side of the story, summarized for those who asked:
I can’t use the card issued in my name for casino transactions (work related reason).
- I have a joint account with my girlfriend that we use for online transactions.
- I asked the casino (in this case yeti (clearly with another or misspelled email) and hyper) if it was okay to use this card. (At this point I didn’t know anything about a SE)
- I got the answer that it was.
- I opened an account with that in mind using BankID.
- I gambled, and lost at no bonus casino.
- I gambled, lost my first deposits, made some more and won on yeti.
- I was asked to send in KYC-documents and at that point again talked to the casino about the joint account m and card (account can be issued in two names, cards not, and because we only use it for online transactions there’s been no need to pay for a extra card) and because I didn’t saved the previous chats from yeti I provided them with the chat from hyper.
- Got again the information that “then it shouldn’t be a problem, we understand that partners sometimes have joint accounts”
- I sent them my partners ID, a copy of the card and a bank statement showing both our names. And the authorization form.
- So far, nothing’s wrong.
- Then they ask for a copy to show my partners address and if I have a bankaccount in my name only where they can pay my win.
After that I got an email saying they confiscated my winnings because they would violate the Swedish gambling law if they paid me.
I contacted SGA asking about this and they told me there is no such paragraph in the law.
Then they told me it was because they can’t prove that it was me playing.
Therefore my argumentation about BankID. That BankID is regulated by law.
Had a long phone call with SGA about the matter where they confirmed that the casino wouldn’t violate any law if paying my winnings and that BankID is the most established and safe method to prove someone’s identity.
That’s it. And here we are.

The bottom line is this.
A reputable casino can and will not accept deposits with a card that belongs to a SE-ed person. Period!
They would be shooting themselves into the foot and most probably pay a hefty fine. The SGA would go ballistic as it totally against all regulations for Responsible Gambling.
What is left though is the matching play style profile. I will not go into detail what is all collected as it would be information potential fraudsters could use but the results are so rarely wrong. It is almost like a player DNA, every player is unique. Together with the other things we have seen on this thread would mean that this is the most improbable coincidence ever.
Either way, if it turns out that as you say with your girlfriend then look for local GA organizations and get help.
First, be happy you got your deposits back.
Second, never use her card again
Third, talk to your girlfriend and try not to be condescending. Addicts close up very quickly when they feel cornered.
Other than that, there is not much recourse.

Started out as confiscated winnings. Can someone sum up the now 17 pages of this? I left at page 1 or 2. The feck is going on now!
Be happy with the fact your initial deposits got returned. Some gaming operations from companies work with different licences to take advantage of SE'ed players by accepting deposits wich I find not accredited or ethical UK player or not.
I wish some casino's took responsibility in my past cases ... we all had some kind of experiences with that. You should not continue to play the ''victim'' role.
If you decide to gamble use an own account soley on your name and set deposit limits loss limits and take a break once in a while.
Enjoy life with out GF and if money doesn't bother you why even post this thread?
I totally DON'T get your frustration now.
Again I ask someone to close this thread.
Okay. So what do you think I should do? I don’t know how this works and what rights I have.
Matching play style profile? I don’t know. I don’t know what slots my gf played or as I said before anything about her problems, so I can’t say more about that. We don’t know how our gameplays matched. I played very high stakes. As I said, because I can afford it and took a high risk where I was totally fine with loosing the deposit if that would have been the outcome.
Sorry, I just did - I couldn't resist. We don't need people bumping it all the time
This becomes repetitive, yes. What you should do? Hire the services of an expensive lawyer (you can afford it) and try to get your winnings as you think you've done nothing wrong. But there are inconsistencies in your posts. First, you mention that your winnings were not so big compared to the amounts you deposited. Later on, you claim that "this has been a big loss for me". So, what is it? What do you want?
Evasive reply and you're clearly not interested in getting your winnings, okay.
One thing that still doesn't make sense to me is if you're worried about using this joint card, asking the casinos if it's okay etc, which I can understand from the pov that casinos sometimes look for ways/reasons to cancel a withdrawal, why not just open another bank account in your name only for gambling purposes and save yourself the worry and potential problems?
Also I wonder what would happen if somebody used a paypal account [or another electronic wallet] in their name but which was funded via a joint card where one of the people is self excluded? [even partly funded, where more than one card is used too]
Is that’s me your responding to?Whats your reasoning there? Not everyone is motivated the same way as you
