After hearing that a lot of people here like CR, I opened an account and made my 1st deposit. Play was going quite well and I got a popup saying i had to call them to verify my info or else my account would be terminated. Through the entire multitude of casinos i've played at online, I have never once been asked to call any of them, even when i cash out. If there's a problem, email and live chat more than suffice.

I don't discuss private info by phone to anyone, let alone some online casino in another country. I told them all this in live chat and they said "it's their policy" to require phone verification. If that's true, then why didn't they require it BEFORE they let me deposit? Now my cash is in there and I can't get it out. No other casino i've spent at has ever asked this. Money is money, and they don't really care about your info until it's time for them to pay YOU.

I have sent a refund request to the casino. They better have the $ back in my account right away.

this phone requirement is the most ridiculous thing i have heard. You have to verify who you are (after filling out all your info once already at signup) just to play? Can you imagine a land-based casino asking to see your personal info every time you put money in a machine? Insane.

Anyone else go through this? I sure wouldn't give them a nickel if i knew had to call them 1st. sheesh.

I cashed out from them twice earlier this year and don't recall ever having to phone them. Just had to send in the usual docs. I tried to access their webpage to see if they had a change in policy, but for some odd reason I have been unable to reach their website for the past 6 months:confused:

At any rate, whats the big deal? Just call them. If they asked you for this type of phone identification, perhaps they had a reason to suspect you had multiple accounts or something more sinister.

So if you don't have anything to hide, I don't see the problem in calling them, especially if you things were "going quite well".

the point is i shouldnt have to call them. they shouldnt take my money, then tell me i need to call them. i deposited the same way i deposit everywhere else, nothing shady, same name on accounts, etc. the whole thing just seems weird.

Do you want your money? Well just call Geesh!

They hold the handle , you hold the blade Start pushing and pulling and who loses?

Or why be a salmon and swim upstream? Much easier to swim downstream

Its not that you can go see the manager and bitch or take them to court. They are virtual, mon...
The only recourse is a PAB through CASINOMEISTER and that is more effort than a phone call.../So grab some jamaican rope, sit back , take a good drag and relax!!

I would get angry at this as well since I only have a mobile and that is a mobile that is paid by work. They would not appreciate me calling a casino overseas.
I would have them call me wich has happened in some casinos and that i do not mind. But I would mind having to call them..

Do you mean to tell me you are not allowed to make private calls on your work phone? Then you ought to get a private number. Why make your life more complicated than it needs to be?

@slotomatic I don't understand your problem. You are willing to give an online casino your private information (name, DOB, street address, banking details) but you won't call them on the phone.

Sorry - but this is not worthy of a PAB and I don't pay Max to deal with frivolous complaints. Call them and be done with it.

Won't make a different to call them when they already have your information on file anyway. Every casino works differently. They only doing their job by following their company policy. If you want your money back you need to call them. If you don't call them then they can't verify you. They are just protecting you and their company.

i only know this from clubworld casinos. always i made my first deposit fe on aladdins i got a popup they would have to call me and do some verification. its ok if they call me ;-) it was 2 minutes just repeating what i have entered in the cashier etc..

the only odd thing was i had to do this 3 times! for all cw casinos allthough they already had my docs on file and i received withdrawals. just a little annoying if you consider they all operate under one roof.

but why just aint give them a call?? you want your money and they really dont want you to do sth super extraordinary ;-).

maybe they also call you if you ask so you have no fees to pay ;-)--

its just a call.....;):p:cool:

cheers

Call them and be done with it.
I agree....Yes, I got this too when I signed up a while back...I picked up the phone while I was online and called them...simple...all done...continue forward! Need to choose your battles as the miester says...for the "big one"...not for a little aggravation that could have been taken care of in 2 minutes..

.

i love it when they call you can ask for free chips :):):) un less your mother will see that your gambleing or wifey:cool:

no kidding ive talked with them enough that they will never call me again

Surely the casino could also attempt to contact the OP by phone as with numerous others for verification unless the contact number isnt working.

i got the pop up chat too

seems all rushmore casinos do that ....when i got the popup told them to call me and they called in like 2 seconds...after verifying the info i begged the person to please put me at the top of the list for a random...hasnt worked though

I am allowed to make private calls, however I am not sure that it would be appreciated if I used it to call a private call to a casino overseas!
I dont get it thoughm if all your docs are in order and u have sent verification form, why do they need you to call them. What if you are mute ;-)

maybe they have a reason to doubt the OP so they want them to call they might have a caller id

I have called a few casino's at their request no big deal

Good Luck
Cindy

i wonder if you gave a incorrect tel # and they have try'd to call you and failed not a sin but they wan to pay the correct person

above is purely speculation and in no way is meant to be incriminating

Or a mute circus performer (ex-monkey wrestler) being held captive in an elderly French woman's Chteau basement (she's rich!).

After all this, today I got an email back that my account had been "deactivated by error" and that it "did not need to be verified." So they reactivated it. Anyway, thanks for your suggestions.

That's good - but next time, just call them. It'll save a lot of aggravation :D

Over the weekend I had signed up at Slots Oasis, I had played for about an hour and then went to wash dishes. When I came back to continue to play my account was locked. I received a messsage stating they needed to verify via phone, I have done this before so no big deal. Just a bit annoying that it happened on the weekend.
Anyways, monday I called and the gal I spoke with said this should not have happened since I used my wallet and not a debit. I told her it was okay but since I had her on the phone to go ahead and verify me as I also do deposit with my debit and didn't want to verify later.
So all done, account was unlocked and was back playing.

p.s. I have noticed they have some monster RJ's, wonder why they're so high?

As nothing is mentioned in CRC's T&Cs about telephoning them or vise versa or what they're intentions would be should they ask you to call and you don't wanna, and knowing full well that if it should happen to me that a CM PAB would, in all likelihood, NOT be an option for resolving the issue, then, naturally, and I know this will shock no one, I'd hafta agree with slotomatic and disagree with all those who said "just call".

@ slotomatic, glad to see that by sticking to your guns you triumphed and, thereby, have been totally vindicated, however accidentally. Still counts! (sorta)

thanks much :)

yes, it was a matter of principle more than anything else. No casino should allow someone to deposit THEN claim there may be a problem and lock the account -- if they suspected my account was being used by another (or whatever flagged it initially), they should have just not let a deposit be made. But I am glad the casino resolved it relatively quickly, which is good since many feel it is a reputable casino. I was mostly miffed that a casino that has a high reputation was acting in ways that seemed rather roguelike for a moment. And like others here, I sure am not calling some casino, especially these days when gambling online is shunned in some countries and probably monitored. (hopefully not!)

Considering that there is no mention in the T&Cs in regards to consequences for players who may choose to disregard the casino's requests to "call them", I think the simplest among the reasons you gave for your inaction, quoted above, is, by far, the strongest. And the "thanks much :)" button is located just under my post, in between "Multi-quote" and "Nominate!". ;)
