Not a stupid inquiry at all. I use to chat first with RTGs to make sure regular real series were not considered progressive. Some are, but usually with fixed values like 3 stogges, rudoplh, happy ox, etc. Maybe Casino Jack can clarify.
WTG Casino Jack, and Playfair for the quick resolution.
Yes, glad we fixed it for you.
What i am about to explain is really, imo, kind of being nit picky, but we are casinos so here we go. Note also this explanation is for RTG casino only.
Progressive Jackpot.
Is a jackpot where the value of the jackpot increases a small amount for every game played. This amount varies depending on the game, and in the case of RTG, they games are linked to all RTG skins. This means, about 100 casinos are adding in funds to this jackpot at all times. Also note these amounts are usually much higher. This money is kept by RTG and paid to the players directly when a win occurs.
Look for this at the bottom of the game descriptions:
Jackpot: Network, Symbol driven
Random Jackpot
Ok so what is the difference? I see the number going up? Ok note this, next time before you click on the game. On the bottom of the game description you might see this:
Jackpot: Local, Random
Ok so now to bring this all together. This is a progressive,as one might think, as the money goes higher as more players play it. This money is paid by the casino though, not RTG. But here is the kicker
A random jackpot can be won at ANYTIME of the game play!
Not some tell you other things, such as Crazy Dragon:
Jackpot Local, After 100 re-spins
So main difference as far as a player is concerned, as far as RTG casinos, Progressive = network, random = local.
Make sense?
