    Hello everyone,

I'm interested to know who uses deposit bonuses and how do you play them? Do you find the games pay better when you're using a bonus?

    Thanks in advance :)

I always use deposit bonuses and the higher the better. The payout is as good/bad without the bonus.

I like 300-400% deposit bonuses, it gives alot to play with and you don't need to deposit much. Instead of deposit 50€ and get 50€ extra i go for 20€ instead and get 80€ bonus. Sometimes the wagering can be higher on the 300-400% bonus but it's worth it if you want a long playtime.

I take high bonuses, deposit match usually up to £1000 if they have it on offer, and then play in my usual style to meet WR. At some sites I have certainly found beyond reasonable doubt that the payout is better when playing on a bonus.

I do not enjoy post wagering bonus or bonus restricted to only certain games on the site, both I feel are a bit unfair and designed in gross favour of the casino, as if things arent already!:p

Mark, I wish I had enough money so I wouldn`t need to play with bonuses. But having said that, my best hits have been on bonus play, as I tend to play double my usual bet (€ 2.50 spins). Been playing only at NetEnt casinos for a couple months now, usually do two deposits each month at my casinos,
one with the monthly deposit, one without.

Hello, well I'm UK based so it may not apply to you but Quicksilver.co.uk (slots) are always noticeably more generous when playing on bonus funds. The same applies to Caesars (Gamsys) website. Both are UK only though I think. Of course it could be wild coincidence but I'm not complaining, both were exceptionally generous to me when I had the winning formula of 1) being a new player and 2) using bonus funds. Two examples off the top of my head, and like both those sites, but I'm sure I've had other experiences of it too.

Obv playing with a bonus means clearing a playthrough. Clearing a playthrough normally means having to go on a winning streak for a very long time or getting a very large hit. I have had large cashouts playing with large bonuses and large playthroughs. Obv a bonus helps the casino more than the player, the majority of deposits + bonus dont ever get cashed becasue of not making playthrough.

Play at a casinos will play the same with a bonus as it does without. They do not have a switch they change settings with to make it harder to play without a bonus. If you believe they do change settings you are saying the casinos is cheating and if that were true why would you play in the first place?

    Thanks for the answers everyone...

Chuzzleaddict I'm from Australia so can't pass judgement on that. Probably just down to perception

I'm not sure you noticed what this thread is focused on Vegasbum however would be nice to just keep this thread on track. I noticed you didnt mention whether you use a bonus? :)

Perhaps you should read your own question before you ask me to do the same. I simply stated that casinos pay the same with or without bonuses and if they didn't they would be dishonest. Yes I uses bonuses

No need to get upset. I wasn't sure you had noticed what this thread is focused on since you didn't mention using a bonus or you're playstyle :)

Would seem many other members don't use a bonus (judging by how many views this thread has received). I assume as bmwstack mentioned that's most likely due to wagering requirements. I'm going to stick too playing without a bonus  Thanks everyone :)

Hey, its' the weekend - postings are always down then. ;)

Not so much recently, but for many years I would ONLY deposit if I was getting a decent bonus. (Decent = wagering no more than (D+B)x20 (preferably x15 max) and cashable). I did take a few high % ones with silly WR and Phantom just for "fun" occasionally.
However, I (almost) never used "bonus abusing" techniques; I just played slots at low bet levels, hoped for a nice win or three and then moved on to a different game. Once I met the WR I would cash-out & move to the next bonus. Doing this I made profit for 10 years straight. All this history is detailed on my website on my KK Results pages, and there are also links to a few of my play-logs on my BG to Slots page and here on CM in my Blogs.

I still like using bonuses for 3 reasons:
    1. The challenge of trying to complete the WR with a profit, even though in most cases the odds are against it.
    2. They do give you more playing time for your buck, and therefore more chances to hit a biggie!
    3. They give you a definitive stopping point (finishing WR) at which to quit and hit the cash-out button.

In my experience, the games are exactly the same whether I'm using a bonus or not.

For those who have replied stating they play with bonuses, would you mind me asking how do you play, do you start low betting and then work up your bet or do you just start high betting:thumbsup:

Thanks for the informative post  I decided to take a couple of bonuses today, I didnt want to deposit much. The bonuses in the past have beeen good as they provide a definitive point to cash-out. I'll have to take another look at you're website.

Mimi had a good question, what style of play do you use? :)

Well I thought I'd sort of already answered that. If you go and have a good look at my play-logs you can see.
Here's a link to one of my blogs: http://www.casinomeister.com/forums/blogs/kasinoking/147-kk-v-32red-june-blog.html

That one was not entirely typical as it started with an unusually high balance for me ($500 deposit + $500 bonus), and I also played some card games because in Club Rogue they count at 100% in WR, but it does give some clues as to how I generally play slots.

I don't religiously stick to one pattern - it varies slightly depending on my mood and what I think of the slot I'm about to play. Usually I will start off with double my minimum bet for 10 - 25 spins in case I get some early luck, then drop down to my minimum for 100 or more spins. If I still haven't hit a bonus feature I start upping my bets. Once I think I've had enough good luck, or lost too much I move on to the next game.
    That's about it really!

Same as KK, I start playing double my usual bet. As I wrote before I usually take my monthly deposit bonuses at NetEnt which are 30 - 50 %, which is not
much but has low WR. Let`s say I deposit 100 and get 50 bonus, I will play 50 at € 2/spin then drop the bet when I hit 100 to 1/spin. I like to play higher bets even on smaller deposits, dont really have time to play 100s of spins on 20c ;) And of course when I happen to have anything over 200 to deposit, no bonuses. That`s not happening too often with 3 kids under 3 ;)
