Betinternet Casino - odd blackjack rules

I played at Betinternet Casino the other night and noticed a couple of odd things with their Blackjack Surrender game. Firstly, although it clearly says on the table 'Dealer must stay on all 17s' I was sure I saw the dealer HIT on soft 17. I also noticed that I wasn't given the option to split a pair.

I contacted support, who told me I hadn't played any hands in the timeframe I mentioned (which, to be fair, I couldn't be sure of) where the dealer took a card on 17. I thought I must have been mistake, but I played Blackjack Surrender in demo mode and as luck would have it, before too long the dealer got a soft 17 - and took a hit! I also got dealt a pair shortly beforehand, and once again wasn't given the option to split.

I've sent a screenshot of the hand where the dealer hit the soft 17 to their technical support, so we'll see what happens. Just thought I'd better mention it here in case anybody plays at Betinternet.

Their site does say that you should have the option to split pairs. It also says 'RTP (Return To Player) for this game is 99.66'. FWIW this looks about right for the game advertised, but the dealer hitting soft 17 would knock about 0.2% off that. As for not being able to split pairs, I've never seen this rule anywhere before and don't know what the effect on expectation would be.

Hey rreevy - did you get any response from CS about this? Could you post the screen shots?
