Any U.S. players been paid by GoldenCasino since Doomsday?

Doomsday=NetTeller debacle day. They keep telling me my check has been processed and that its coming. Requested the cashout on January 14th. January 17th rolls around and NetTeller goes by by. So it gets kicked back to casino account. They say they are looking for a new check processor. Okay fine. 14 days ago they tell me my checks been sent. Well, supposely FedEx takes 7 business days. 10 business days later= today and no check. Anyone get paid yet? Check is for 1150.

I guess the good news is that my money could be stuck in NetTeller instead.

I've been waiting about the same time as you and for about the same amount. Their phone support is useless. Also, emails almost never get responded to. In a fit of juvenile frustration I sent them about 50 of the exact same email in a row. On March 8, I got a response asking me if I wanted a regular check or a FedEx. I responded with another 10 of the same email. Don't know if it's actually been sent or not but it appears to be a step in the right direction.
 
delayed payment from Golden Casino

Oh my God! are you for real, you have been waiting for your money since January 14th, no way! Well Im totally screwed then, I have been waiting since February 14th for $30k. I have gotten the same stories, Im so pissed. The story of your check has been processed to the bank but we are waiting for a confirmation from the bank. One day Im told my check was sent and the next day they have no idea what Im talking about. I call them everyday, Today Denise gave me the "Blame it on your government if you want to blame someone" I almost fell off my chair, I told her my government had nothing to do with them taking americans money when they were in search of a new bank. If they have even gotten a new bank at all? Hang in there dont quit with this because Im not going away, for $30k would you? Oh, I did find out they use to be Golden Palace! But couldnt find a bank so the changed their name to golden casino. They probably just changed the name without ever finding a new bank and continue taking our money. Damn 30,000K. I would be unbelievably stressed for that amount. I hope 30,000K is not that much to you. Sorry to hear that. Thanks for the responses though. The reason I made the original post was to actually find someone who has gotten a check. Something fishy is definetly brewing. It is good to keep the communication lines open here because getting a straight answer from them is impossible.

I originally called them golden palace casino and requested an edit to correct the name to golden casino. Thats all :) Anyway, I have been online researching all day trying to find out their gaming software support and who they play under. Here's the scoop:

I gave golden casino yet another call today and spoke with Denise ie.,
Supervisor in charge I guess, anyway, I was just confirming what I was told by 2 different agents this past week that my checks had been sent out on the 3rd and to expect them on the 13th. Well she goes on to tell me she has this list that has all the names of the players that have been mailed checks and that my name wasnt on the list.................... I went off. Im like, :what: what the hell, Im not on that list? she says Im sorry but your not. I said then why did 2 different agents tell me my checks were in the mail with dates on when to expect them. She says I dont have any access to the dates etc. I ask her " as a supervisor what is it that you do have access to"? She starts this crap about dont blame us for your checks being delayed yaddi yaddi yaddi blame your government not us. Now Im pissed, I said my government has nothing to do with your accepting us players, taking our money when you didnt have a bank to fund your checks. I said its so wrong what you are doing to me. I told her that they should have disclosed that information before they took my money, not afterwards, that it was bs that I cant get a straight answer from anyone. So then I ask her " who are you licensed under, she says Kahnawake, I tell her, wrong answer, it Curacao jusisdiction, and she starts giving me all this info like, Oh Im sorry, when we were Golden Palace,,,, what? golden palace, she say yes we had to change our name because we couldnt find a bank, for 3wks they were without a bank and mind you they were still accepting deposits from us customers. thats messed up, no wonder they are behind. just think if they hadnt founda bank? Or did they? So they decided to go with golden casino and separate themselves from the palace group. Now they are using Odds On software which was absorbed by vegas technologies in the L&G group earlier this year.
Something isnt right here but cant figure it out, they were with cyber world group, they've been around since 1997. Im so confused but Im gonna get paid. What puzzles me is they said they use to be golden palace, well golden palace is still running, so are they running both casinos under different licenses? What do you think? Im so pissed right now, I told her that Panama wouldnt be a problem for me to hop a jet and go see them face to face and get my money directly from them since they are so backed up, I could help them out. Not that I want to go to that extreem but for $30,000 I will.

Golden Palace had to stop accepting US players on the Playtech platform due to Playtech asking them to, it had nothing to do with the US Government at the time - the real DoJ led crisis came later. Odds-on, like RTG, were happy for operators to attempt to still market to the US customer base. Naturally, the needed a new name, and it seems a juristiction outside of the USA and Canada (just in case).

Changing name from Golden Palace to Golden Casino will do nothing to improve their chances of getting a new processor. Which of the two names is more likely to look like a casino?
Had they shown significant imagination, they could have chosen a name that sounded like it was an online fantasy gaming service, and this should have made it far easier to trick a US bank or two, at least for a while.
It looks like Golden Casino launched in the HOPE that it would quickly team up with a new processor. This didn't happen, and hence the delays.
It could very well be that anyone contacting support will be lead to believe that they are an unfortunate victim of some internal cock-up, and that all will be fixed. If this were true, players will start to reply to this thread to say that they have now received one of these cheques, and that it cleared.
 
Still haven't got paid yet. When I talked to the supervisor last Wednesday night. He said I should expect my check by Monday. I'm like okay, thinking in the back of my mind yeah right. Well, yesterday was Monday and no check... I would give them another call but I think i'll wait till tommorrow. Hang in the Leanna.

In reply to your post. Thanks for the info. I am not sure when they split with Golden Palace. I guess in October. I assume they had a check processor until around January 17, 2007 when the NeTeller arrests happened. Which was immediately followed by a bulletin that was sent out to all ACH (Automated Clearing Houses) from whoever regulates it (some government agency of which I don't know the name) that said do not due business with online gambling sites. So, many online casino, poker, and/or sportsbook had their check processors drop them. Basically, this means that the first month or so of delays for me was not their fault. Well, I was told around Feb 28 or so that Golden Casino had finally found a new check processor, and that my check was processed. Well, I don't understand if they don't have any communication with their check processor or just don't care. But I feel like I should have my check by now and they need to quit taking their sweet time "processing it" considering that I have been waiting since January 17.

I just want to wipe my hands of this situation. I mean they obviously do not want my future business. How could I ever deposit there again?

In your case Leanna it is obvious that when you deposited they had no way off cashing you out which in my mind is very dishonest.
 
Another non payment

I funded my account with a credit card, so I have started the dispute process with my credit card company. Not sure how that will play out, but my credit card company says if they dont pay you.....you can dispute the charge. Anyone try this?

It's a last resort, as you could well be added to a negative database and have trouble with other casinos.
However, the fact that they will stoop to giving you a fictional FEDEX tracking number shows they are really not prepared to be honest about how serious the problem is. They probably hoped you would take the bluff, and not actually check with FEDEX, but just wait a few more days when they might be able to find another solution.
No doubt, you will next be told that they had "processed" the payment to their processor who is "just about to send it", and mistakenly gave you their internal tracking number, confusing it with a FEDEX tracking number.
 
Purple could you please contact them again and confront them about phony FedEx tracking number. I am very interested to hear their response when confronted with a lie.

I have called over 7 times now and have heard five DIFFERENT DATES each time about when my checks were "sent." They are obviously completely fraudulent now or stalling for time. If they couldn't pay, why did they take our deposits. Furthermore, why are they still taking payments!! I thought that this was one of the most reputable casinos out there. Please post if you get paid. Otherwise, who wants to fly down to Panama with me?

Same thing has been going on with me at Fortune Room since the middle of January. I sat and waited for weeks while FR and Click2pay assured me things were being ironed out. Then it was the "check's in the mail" routine from FR for a few weeks. Now it is the ACH transfer which has my money locked down. And I received yet another e-mail from FR saying I will have all my money within a week. Wanna bet? (haha) I hardly gamble at all anymore. A drag.
 
Thanks all for the heads-up about Golden Casino. With few options available, I might have considered playing there again.

I've been in touch with the casino and they are aware of the delayed payment problems. They ensured me that they are doing everything in their power to get payments to their US players as quickly as possible.

We have had serious delays (4 weeks +) paying our American customers given that our banks pulled out of that market on January the 22nd, compounding the cessation of payments via Wire transfers, Citadel, Neteller and Click2Pay. We did not issue any payments to the United States from January the 22nd through to February the 27th. We have found reputable new banks and have been paying out at the highest volumes feasible since that time, but we are limited to sending cheques only. We have presently sent out a little more than 50% of delayed funds and look forward to having the situation fully normalized and payments up to date within the next calendar month.

We notified our customers about this delay via several mass emails, agents inform them of it every time they call in to inquire and we have also posted the following message on the Cashier section of our webpage (Outdated URL (Invalid)) and software to keep customers up to date:
 
Talked to them again on the 15th. Now the girl tells me my check was sent REGULAR MAIL like everyone elses and will take 2-4 weeks to get there. I didn't really get a straight answer about when they were sent. Also, I was told by two different agents that my check was sent FEDEX. Now, they tell me it was sent regular mail. I'm like come on. The girl's like my computer says it was sent out regular mail. Everytime you call them you get a different story. Plus, I can't even understand their Spanish accents. Oh well, I am writing that money off for the next few months. It may get to my door by summertime.

Keith here, new to the site. Wish I could add insight to Golden Casino, but frankly I came here to find out about them. I am very disheartened to find this thread... I was literally a day away from making a substantial deposit, as Google searches didn't reveal anything disturbingly negative about GC.

To those waiting to be paid: The power of your complaints and postings at this Forum has LOST Golden Casino a brand new customer - me. Yeah, I know.. you'd prefer your money :D Oh well, if any reps at GC happen to read this thread, maybe the loss of actual new potential revenue will get them thinking the right way. No one minds delays. Out and out lying and BS stories are not tolerated in the business world. I will re-consider funding my account with them once y'all start getting paid, the checks clear, and no new BS stories appear for a good solid month or two. They seem reputable, now they just need to act like it.
