I was at RiteAid (drugstore here in the US) today, and they had some Visa gift cards...knowing I would use the money elsewhere if the casinos didn't accept it, I went ahead and got one....and guess what?

It didn't work at a casino, BUT it does work for NETELLER! This is the first prepaid card I've found that actually works there. All others have been denied.

This has to be the best solution I've found yet...:D

Only problem is, they don't list stores where you can get them from anywhere.......

It's called "Vanilla Visa". If anyone has anymore info, could they please post it?

TIA

PS: It does say "Valid only in the United States", so I'm assuming that's why it didn't work at an online casino lol

Neteller

I am pretty sure that Neteller doesn't have problems processing gift cards.

The problem is, check with Neteller in case they request you copies of the card for future payouts or transfers, this could be a problem

Casinos don't like gift cards, because even if they can process the card, getting documents is a pain in the ass for them.

The problem is, that an online casino can't detect when a card that is being processed if it is a gift or prepaid card. If anyone knows if a sequence of numbers on a card can detect this, I will appreciate the info :D

The bank (even for gift cards) can be identified by the first 6 numbers on the card. ie: 1234 56 belongs to XX Bank, etc...the remaining numbers are just an algorithym.

The bank code for this particular brand of gift cards is 4315 68.

Not sure for any others, but have found some via google in the past.

And yes, I'll definately keep all cards that I end up getting just in case Neteller asks for them. They do say "gift card" on them, but other than that, it's just like a regular debit card :)

edit: I remember years ago there was a program called CMaster Pro. It held a database of hundreds, if not thousands, of these bank prefixes for credit cards. I'm sure it's not updated anymore, but you could probably find a copy of it for reference by googling it...

that number you are talking about

The BIN will let you identify the bank, however I am talking if you could identify from the numbers of a card if they are gift card or a prepaid card...

thanks

I'm not sure, but I think those initial 6 numbers would help determine that....
