2019 slot predictions

Starburst 2 with Megaways by Netent ... max win 500x ... feature: wilds spreading up to 0-4 times, 3 spreading wilds triggering 10 free spins (feature in free spins: wilds spreading always 4 times)

Have fun.
youre asking @dunover to come at you with a shovel...a really....big...shovel :p

I agree, that is exactly how I see it. If it is easy, or no RTP on it, ok. If it is hard or you can buy it, say the RTP.

May I add jackpots to this? Personally I don't mind the jackpot taking big part of the RTP as long as that is stated in terms.
It definitely takes billions of spins and months of play to win one.

No, i wouldn't add progressives to it. Anyone can win one on any spin. The chances are small, but possible.
If 1 billion people only ever played one game, the RTP would be near right as SOMEONE would have won it on the their spin.
But binding features are entirely different...

Everything is going to be megaway, brucelee megaway, starburst megaway, (you can play a slots o gold megaway so that's kinda starburst) dazza g,s fav bonanza with double megaways lol

There's already a Starburst megaways game - BTG did it... Starquest :)

There will be More Mega-No-Pays slots with BTG's engine meaning endless clones, different graphics and a LOT of players being shafted.

I honestly hope the UKGC bans the feature buy. Developers like BTG are treading on a bit of thin ice with their RG ethics and feature gambles. I expect them to release more tripe to that effect and ride the money wave that comes with it whilst players will lose their houses to get a paltry 500x hit on any of their slots.

Im hoping that NetEnt churn out some more slots in the line of Vikings BUT without the dead spin fiasco in the base game - I honestly had hope for that slot, but any hope dies off very quickly with the dead spins and rare feature - NetEnt need a new game engine or honestly need to work harder too root out their blank spin model.

PNG seems to be leading the pack, and quite honestly for me dishes out the most no nonsense 100x + wins every session when I do play (which is quite rare these days). I expect to see the best games being released by them this year.

So in a nutshell - More Megaways to lose, more feature buys with no big wins on BTG and their recruits.

NetEnt - more blank spins, more egg timers and more berry burst / starburst type games - (Surprise us Netent PLEASE)

PNG - A few proper slots with new and different game mechanics

MG - A few clones and new 243 way slots :p

Nate

I had a first look at the next Netent slot today, called Golden Grimoire, due for release in February. I think your wish will not come true. After Vikings, back to the usual drivel, unfortunately.

They just uploaded a video:

But you can try their first January release today, Turn Your Fortune should be live by now. Not too bad, IMO. Then brace for Strolling Staxx on 24th Jan, yet another useless drivel from them.

and i think thats the nail on the head..mega will become terra becomes ultra becomes uber until its its so so over saturated/inundated, its become tiresome and a fad that runs its course (until, as you say its stopped by default)

Maybe someone will design an "infinity-ways" with a maximum win of 100,000x, then everyone else will look at it and say "well, I guess you can't get any more ways than that" - and the trend will slow down a bit.

Aside from the user interface and graphics, it probably wouldn't even be very hard to design - just have the odds for bonus ways fall off exponentially after some point.

I'm guessing a few more slot providers will try at least testing out feature buys for themselves - I've even seen betsoft trying it out in the U.S.

Just watched it - can't for the life of me figure out why sometimes they move left.

WoW only Super Mega Wins in that Game that must be great :laugh:

What I see for the next 1-2 years is less freedom in the "free world". See Australia, Canada and Europe.
It will soon be "you can only play this slot in that casino and nothing else"!
With complete financial block and internet block.

EU had UK looking out for us and protecting peoples interests .... now it's a jungle out there.

Then they will learn and start giving back some freedom.

That has already happened. Even though nothing is still happening here in Canada.

Wow. The classic Netent 'devalued wilds' mechanic. 4 reels of the bastards twice, paid 85 and 75x bet respectively. Hold me back, lock my debit card now!

Good to see that I am not the only one. :D

They released only the promo pack and the short video today, no game sheet or demo version. Will let you know the soon I see one of the two as I will know then what the "magic" trick is. :D

Yeah thought that it was weird that they just moved unexplained, but I guess there's some rule for sometimes cloning the mystery symbol to adjacent positions.

It seems like slotmakers these days either want the low to medium variance slots to keep new players spinning for a long time, or the high variance 2000x+ wins slots to attract the lottery gamblers, with little in between.

We have seen the mechanic on Wolf Cub where in FS a full stack on reel one connects to any matching symbol on the other reels.

You can see here reel one is highlighted before the spin stops. The mystery books reveal than the same symbol and they connect to reel one, which is the reverse way from Wold Cub.

Or something like that. They still have not uploaded the game sheet or the demo version, which they usually do on the same day when they upload the video and promo pack, so I am waiting to get more details and complete my review (published the title some 2 months ago already)

What I found more disappointing was to see that the slot pays "peanuts" for a near-full screen of premium symbols.

Really hope that some small now very known providers will make something new to us, there are some who have people with experience to make great games. Also new providers will keep much better deals to casinos to get visible in market to all us to know.

Really not hope that it will be just few big companies playground who then have most of games and charge casinos more for revshare and making contract, we will see what happen but not in players or casinos interest is that there are just few providers who then can charge a lot in their contracts, hope to see some smaller companies who have good games to give bit challenge for big boys.

I predict PnG will make some more grid slots, hopefully some new non cloned 5x5 and 7x7 games, and maybe an experimental 9x9.
BTG will keep making bonanza variants that will fall short of bonanza due to tacked on feature buys/gambles.
Netent will keep retiring older slots and making new mostly terrible games with the odd half playable one.
Microgaming will keep curling out trash unless they get their older a-team back in action (the guys who made jurassic park, terminator 2 and immortal romance)
Thunderkick will keep improving their lineup with more interesting and varied siots as they have been doing so well recently.

Correct tottaly misleading as most of us know, unfortunately a lot of punters seeing that drivel won't be members of forums.

Maybe when the UKGC look at feature buys that can be followed by misleading media campaigns.

But then suppose that would come under the remit of trading standards .

I remember only a couple of years ago a lot of people were complaining all the new releases were super low to medium variance, Netent, MG etc. How times have changed.

Holy Diver will be live on Leo Vegas on the 30th of Jan so I'll look forward to having a chat about your experiences at the Meistermeet, where I'll be showing our second release of the year (dubbed by some as Danger II)

We also have a fascinating new slot in production for May release, no Feature Drop, no Megaways, no feature gamble and certainly no books! You might even like it!

Happy New Year!

Fantasma Games have also had a license for Megaways? Any other companies which have it licensed do we know? I thought it was just Blueprint, Red Tiger and Storm Gaming

Old / Expired Link

Haha just googled this game and big promo ad with epic win- 1,250,000 dollars from 5 dollar bet.
Surely that needs a bigger amazinger word than epic...?

Whoop! Danger High Voltage II, cant wait for that one to be released.

What I Would Like to See in 2019
I would love to see WMS make some slots that made them great, go back to the drawing board...
Bruce Lee, Jungle Wild, Star Trek Series, Life of Luxury and Raging Rhino, all very memorable and
fun slots to play, they've really lost their way these days sadly with just awful slots being released.

I would like to see Pragmatic release some more fun slots with multiple bonuses, my favourite still
being Da Vinci's Treasure, also a slightly lower variance version of Peking Luck would be cool.

A disappointment for me in 2018 is Greentube/Novomatic, I think they've done a WMS here,
they're great at making easy to play, simple slots that appeal to many, but the moment they
get too adventurous they lose their appeal. I would like to see some more basic slots from them,
possible a feature buy on Lucky Lady Blob for say 100x ? :D muhahahaha

Rob :)
