Microgaming is extending its casino games portfolio with two new slot additions “Girls with Guns – Jungle Heat” and “Tiger Moon”.

On its download, Flash and Quickfire platforms, Girls with Guns – Jungle Heat is a five reel, 243 ways to win video slot following six military-minded females on their journey through the jungle to hunt down the evil drug baron Hector and his henchmen.

With no pay-line constraints, the slot game features a number of award winning combinations. The Girls with Guns wild symbol is stacked on the reels and if a player lands on a Group Shot symbol, the wild symbol expands to build yet more winning combinations. The drama increases when three or more grenade scatter symbols appear, which will trigger the free spins feature with up to 15 free spins.

Tiger Moon, also a five reel, 243 ways to win video slot, is a graphic and feature-rich game with an oriental twist transporting player into an ancient and intriguing world.

The game boasts a unique bonus feature, the I Ching Coin of Luck, which allows players to multiply their winnings in the free spins feature. The free spins feature is triggered by three, four or five adjacent Tiger symbols appearing on the reels. In addition, all wins from this or any base game reel win can be doubled or quadrupled in the gamble feature.

Tiger Moon will be available on Microgaming’s Flash and Quickfire platforms.

I am just about to finish my write up on these, some people might be interested to know that Girls With Guns will feature the random reel wild during free spins and the expanding wild on reel 3 just like the original LOTR!

Not sure about the theme but it would be smart from MGS to make a clone of the original LOTR (TDK being a clone of the last version of the game). Plus there's no copyright involved with the gameplay so there's no reason not to do it.

New high variance 243 ways slot with stacked wilds and no progressive. Interesting.

Edit: it's not a straight up clone though. The free spins *can* be retriggered and I don't see any mention that there's a side feature that can "boost your win" (like Gollum/Batman/Joker)

In the original LOTR there was no side features and you had the chance to retrigger free spins.

So it´s finally time for a clone i for once welcome. So i take it that the FS has stacked wilds and one random wild to come? I wonder if the paytable is the same.

I wish they could have a little more of a serious theme though.

I just checked and you're right. I once won $600 on LOTR because of Gollum and I was certain that it was with the first version of the game. Apparently it wasn't.

Well, that's good news then since it's possibly a real clone.

Look what I just found, they have the exact same pay table as well (the girl with guns one posted earlier is on a $3.00 bet vs. $0.30 for LOTR). Same game! Awesome! Only the progressive is missing.

Nice find, I am not nit picking :p but the original was never part of the Moolah network so nothing technically is missing and it is a full blown clone. It does seem as though Microgaming have been taking some notes here and there as people did love the concept of that original LOTR and it comes up in discussions quite often. Now we wait and see if it plays like, if it does it will be Microgamings new money spinner for while

I'm surprised.
I absolutely hated LOTR, I assumed that was a normal reaction.
I'll have to give Girls with Guns a go, maybe it was just the cut screens that wound me up.

Didn't like the new LOTR: loved the original LOTR before the tweaked it by changing the bonus and tying in the JP

The original LOTR was brilliant, only got to play it for a short time though before they ruined it, in fact they absolutely bastardised it with that progressive
Shall definitely be playing this new clone when it is released. This is very good news indeed :D

I asked for a Clone in another thread.. Can't remember where... Thanks MG:p (I think I said they should call it Lord of the Bling) ... I obviously claimed royalties if they used the name so they had to improvise...

Nate

I have asked for clones in several threads, Nate you get 10%! Thats the best i can do!

March 6th for Girls with Guns I'm told.

Yup, same here Andy. We've been told the 6th.

As for the soundtrack Jasmine... I actually got to hear it earlier thanks to a downloadable ringtone of it. I'd describe it as a bit '80's rock' but maybe others would disagree. Anyone else heard it, and what makes for a good sound track in your opinion? Me, I generally find myself muting the slots music and turning up the TV when I play. maybe that's just me....

To read this thread made my day a lot better than it was :)

I have missed the old Lotr so much, so if it's really a clone I'll forgive MG for everything bad they have done before :notworthy

It's a really fun game.
Soundtrack is great too.
I didn't spend enough time playing the original LOTR to say if it's a clone though. If it is I wish I'd spent more time on LOTR.
I think people will love it.

Does it look high variance? LOTR was pretty high variance, with the possibility of a full screen of stacked wilds.

MG LOTR classic version is one of my favorite slots. This LOTR clone release will be the high-light of year.

Having been asking for the LOTR clone for some time, finally it arrives... exciting

I will sure run some serious sessions on this slots. Anyone still remembers the RTP of LOTR slots?

something like 97%+ correct me if I was wrong.

cheers

Looking forward to your upcoming screenshots in the other thread ;)

An LOTR clone is a slot I could spend some time with, unlike the gimped progressive version that we ended up lumped with, which then transmogrified into the rubbish Dark Knight slot.

Also, girls and guns! Ticking all the boxes there.

Even in spite of that I still want to play :D

The only way I'd play money on a 243 line slot these days would be if a girl with a gun was guaranteed to visit my flat if i hit a 5-of-a-kind

It's a pointlessly divisive theme as well considering the gender demographic of slot players.

I'll take choosing how many lines I want to play on non-sexy, non-streaky, high paying Penguin Vacation any day of the week.

I like the 243 games; I mean, no matter the slot, be it 15 or 30, or 243, I'm always going to play max lines.

Fair enough, but the thing I don't like is that you're FORCED to play 243 lines.

For many years we've had the right to choose how many lines we play on a video slot, thus having the final say on the variance. Now Microgaming want to gradually take that right away from us

True-ish...even a lot of popular 30 line games no longer let you lower the bet less the minimum 30 (ex DK, IR etc)
