wired funds vs Courier delivery checks

It still amazes me why a bank wire would take7- whereas 10 business day to hit your bank account AFTER the funds have been processed whereas if sent by courier (fedex) it does not take more than 5 days after processing and sometimes less 3 days

Are there any body in the banking business who knows why

It takes less than 5 seconds to make a deposit , yet 10 days to receive your funds ONLY IN AMERICA!!!

My last ACH from CW took 3 days not counting the weekend. Sent Wednesday received Monday morning. But alot of it has to do with the bank you use also.

to the op in certain cases mony cant be sent diretly to your bank in a lot of cases the funds get sent to a intermeadeary bank first then after there done they send it along to your bankin headquarters then it clears all those hurdeles and gets sent to your account number at your bank and threres prolly more to it than i just spewed out

Depends on the payment processor. I've received wires less than 48 hrs from request.

Wires have a big advantage over checks in my book in that they don't bounce.

Even without worrying about cheques bouncing, usually a hold is placed on cheques, sometimes quite a long one if the bank is out of country.

Also, you need to be home for a courier delivery, or go to pick it up during office hours if you miss the delivery.

jAZZY, The checks I usually receive are from a bank in US and my Bank clears it overnight.

Quite frankly, I don't mind them taking long cause it takes longer for them to get it back lol

I haven't had any problems. The checks are actually drafted on a an account from a WI based company through US Bank. I have used it successfully several times.

One thing I found though is that Jackpot Capital will not provide a FEDEX tracking number. I was told they do NOT do that.

In my experience, if you aren't home, the Fedex delivery person just leaves it at the house. I have never had to go sign for it.

Club World just processed my ACH withdrawal in 4 days . They told me 4-7 days. Cherry Red its 6-10 days and its always 10-12 never 6. I actually have ACH withdrawals pending right now from Cherry Red and Club World so Ill post the results.

I was sure that Bryan set up this forum specifically so the USA members could talk to each other about subjects such as what this thread is all about. I think you probably didn't have to scold another member about what they posted about. Diane is a very nice and polite member and shouldn't have been made to feel like she did something wrong. She didn't. And I didn't see you scolding any others in this thread that were discussing the same thing. You were wrong, bpb.

Update, check came via UPS and it DID REQUIRE a signature. Naturally I wasn't home, so I had to go down and fetch it from UPS distribution center.

Very impressed. W/d approved on Friday 8/26 - check arrived today!!!

I think I perferr check, had a withdrawl from 32Red my first won after nearly 70 depsoits with them yaaaaaa!!!!!!!! finally!
Having it wire transferr which was done on the 24th still no money in my account. By courier with other withdrawls I had it in 4 days sometimes 3.

Posting such detailed information about the payments that we receive in the US serves no useful purpose and could be seriously detrimental to the future of receiving such payments. Read the affidavit surrounding the Quicktender seizures if you don't think that online message boards are used by government agencies to aid in their investigations.

Instead of removing threads or censoring these things, I felt it would be better to make this more or less a private conversation. This forum is not privy to the general public or search bots.

I would love to go the check route but my work schedule varies week to week and the inconvenience of a signature required prevents me from using that alternative. I have 3 different bank accounts and purposely alternate payments when I have the good fortune to cash out so the activity level isn't too high on one specific account. Congrats Diane!

I believe that Bryan let people in on a "ask him to" basis. I personally think the entire ATM forum is just a salve for the USA members. I truly believe that if the government wants to know something they will find a way to get to it. I think being paranoid about gambling in on line casinos is not necessary. The average every day gambler is such small potatoes to the feds, they couldn't care less.

Simply my 2 cents , though.

I wish I had the check option. Where I live we have no mail delivery, so I have to use a PO box. All my documents as a result show my address as a po box.
I can not have them fed ex it to my house. because besides my mortgage papers, I have no way to proove I live here! So ach it is for me. I think I live on one of the only towns in the USA who keep voting down getting mail delivery....
