N2Games make PC action games like Electronic Arts do etc. Never made a slot as far as I know?
N2Live make slots, pretty crappy ones and certainly not anything to do with Greentube/Novo.
OK, GamblingJoe has a thread where a Novomatic Casino Manager (of Stargames, remember those in UK?!) confirms those provided via Softswiss are only going to be available via them for approved jurisdictions. He is also responding to a rumour that Novomatic have made an N2 server with low-grade versions of their games to service unregulated Curacao markets. Here's what he says to questions in italics:
This is the last time we will comment on the topic. The slots there are fake. It is up to you whether you want to continue to think that they are not.
We are trying to clarify a few points from you, as these do not prove anything or are even wrong.
"If I remember, the games at Platincasino are run by softswiss (iGaming provider of gambling software), which also has a content agreement with Greentube or the Novomatic Group, which also includes Greentube (subsidiary) and providers such as StarGames etc completed around 2019."
Yes, maybe so. But that doesn't confirm anything. Each game provider can decide for themselves in which market they would like to see their games again. In such a deal, the game provider can specify: “I let my games be played via Softswiss in country XY, but only there and in no other country”. Is also a possibility.
The Greentube games have NOT been playable in unregulated markets (i.e. markets that can be reached with a Curacao license) for years.
"Apart from that, it would be questionable why games from Pragmatic and Co. also run on the official servers of the game providers and only not with you?"
Perhaps Pragmatic doesn't care so much about whether they also supply non-regulated markets. Would at least explain why you can play your live casino games on some sites even though this would not be legal from Germany.
"Who knows what exactly was sold with the license (if that is the case). Maybe just the rights for graphics, sounds, game modes, etc. What a game developer who has bought the license does with it may be up to him - as long as the actual product is still recognizable."
Believe us: not a single game manufacturer, not even the smallest ones, would license parts (graphics, sound, math) of their top games to some small company (that no one has ever heard of) and say: "Hey, do whatever you want with it, no matter how it is Looks like. You can also use it on illegal sites."
It would be as if someone could grab partial rights from Disney and George Lucas to the Star Wars story (a few short cuts, well-known statements, music), and then put them together in a game and redistribute them on illegal sites. No matter what it looks like.
This does more harm to the content than what it brings. Although we are talking about slots, we are talking about IP (intellectual property) rights, as you generally know from the film or sports production industry.
"Just because the title "Manager" is written above the avatar does not mean that someone is actually the manager of the casino, it could also be an intern or a regular employee"
We have already made it clear in other threads that our account is monitored by our customer service but also by the marketing/operations team. We can therefore also make statements regarding game providers, contracts with game manufacturers, advertising, and German gambling regulations. Because we have been working on these topics for years - not as interns.
As I said, that was our last statement on the topic, as we want to focus on our own brand and the original games.
