Hey Ray just got a mail for docs after his progressive win so I'm putting them together for him - he doesn't know how to work my scanner.

In the email he got they say he's only allowed to withdraw $9000 per month. But didn't I read in here somewhere progressive wins are NOT stuck at the max withdrawal per month like regular wins because the prize pool is located somewhere else?

So I'm looking for a rep but the only one I could find in the reps section is a "German Region Manager" and they haven't logged in since last August.

The William Hill folks have been a bit hard to reach for a while now. That said I recently re-established contact with them and do have someone that I can send your issue to. The trick is that they don't want to deal with players directly AND they promise nothing in terms of dealing with the issue once we submit it to them (the usual "cannot discuss player details because of Data Protection" blah blah blah).

Given that cheery situation my suggestion would be to either:
  • (A) file a PAB and we'll run it through the usual procedures and hope for the best, OR
  • (B) send me an email that I'll forward to our WH contact for you.
  • (C) take the situation into your own hands and approach the

. They're the regulators for Will Hill and might be able to help you with Sky Kings (maybe).

The A case is more hassle for you, obviously, but it puts it on my plate as a regular PAB so I'll chase it if there's no response, etc.

The B case is much simpler for you up-front but there's nothing more for me to do on it after I forward it to them for you. In other words no follow-up, no nothing.

Option C is a long shot and may well be a waste of your time.

I'm easy either way. Let me know which, if either, approach you want to take.

Regards,
Max.

If they are claiming that they are only going to pay 9k a month for a progressive win then they must have their heads up their butt.

When the progressive fiasco occurred at Joyland, a WH sister casino (which is covered in detail Best Worst 2009), I was assured by WillHill's Chief Operations Officer that the new terms that deal with payments would not limit progressive wins.

Well I just checked Joyland's site and the term is still there

But checking William Hill's, I don't see it. Can anyone find this term? If not, please ask the casino manager to forward this URL. I hope they aren't trying to pull a "Joyland".

By the way, how much was this progressive win for??

34k, she shows it here!

4 months if they want to be bad. It´s going to be interesting to see what happens when it comes up here.
I don´t think they want that kind of bad publicity for a 34k win.

Thanks for the response B - I was sure I'd read it somewhere. I sent a PM to Max earlier and I'll see what he says and whether you guys can get the WH contact to look at it. SkyKings casino website is gone so no way to check the terms there.

Like Maphesto said, the win was $33K plus change - and it was Ray's win (I only play at BetFred and Circus) so he said even if it IS in their terms it's only a few months wait. But I said uh-UH....I don't think you should have to wait at all and said I'd come and ask here.

Cause you guys are awesome! :notworthy

I just got Ray to send an email replying to their $9K/month mail. It says:

Can you please send me a link to your terms where it says that the withdrawal limit is $9000 a month? I thought progressive wins were exempt from this term.

We'll see what they say.

Actually you asked me "Maybe you could confirm with your contact whether they have this max cashout term on progressive wins first?" I'd rather not do that because they've said they'll look at cases when necessary not that they would field questions on a regular basis. This person is a WH contact, not someone who has offered to be a full-time representative.

If this becomes a PAB -- still need to see what happens from Bryan's angle -- then yes, I'll submit it. Until then other sources of info will have to suffice.

@Chayton

Have the manager (or whoever Ray is in contact with) provide a link to the specific term at WH that states 9k a month for progressives. If he can conjure this up, then PAB. I'll fast track it to the COO.

ok thanks, Ray's gone to bed but I just checked his mail and they haven't responded yet to the question about the term. It was the finance department who sent him the original email about the $9K so that's who he sent the mail to.

AFAIK he hasn't spoken to a manager or anything - his "VIP  Rep" was supposed to contact him but he hasn't heard from them either so as far as I know he's just been dealing with regular support staff so far.

It never ceases to amaze me how badly casinos deal with this kind of stuff. I once hit a VP progressive for $7K and no-one at the casino even said 'well done'. You would think they would be at least a little bit interested. It's hardly going to make you want to hang around if they slap a $9K monthly limit on you and don't even give you a VIP account manager.

When I won mine the lack of response just made me want to withdraw whereas had they got in contact I would have at least played on for a while. And once they hit you with the $9K thing you start wondering if they have infact got the cash which is a real disincentive to play on.

Well, perhaps what they REALLY mean is that there is no limit to the amount, but there are limits to the timeframe of that amount:rolleyes:

lol....What we say is this...but what we mean is this...

Has even the first 9K installment been made yet?

Nope. But I can't discuss it as there's a PAB in process.
