Hi jamie upon checking you've been excluded from all our gaming / sports promotions At the moment, this restriction is in line with our safer gambling commitments as we need to make sure everything’s ok and that you're playing safely. It’s part of our commitment to keep gambling fun.

ERMMMMM. How does banning me from bonus drop and free scratchcard help with safer gambling. Surley putting a depo limit would do that not stopping me play free promos?

They use "safer gambling" to justify everything these day

I just want to know how restricting someone from receiving free perks off their site is somehow protecting the player. Is this the gateway to you becoming a scratchcard-seeking degenerate?

Simply a blanket approach, so as to 'appear' to be considering the welfare of its users, whilst also skimping on giving players something back. And yet you'll have companies falling over themselves to be given constant validation via surveys and feedback etc, and wanting customers to proffer their loyalty to that brand.

How can one tackle 'problem gambling' if everyone's tarnished as being a problem gambler? Bit counter- productive, wouldn't you say?

Just further pitiful proof that companies haven't the first clue about any of it, and so would much rather take this approach. If the fun stops, stop!....well it just so happens I have one for punters to direct at casinos. How about "if you dipshit companies stop gambling being any sort of fun, fuck off"

They’ve been bonus banning people for donkeys years. I guess now they can do it under the guise of RG rather than the two finger salute method they seemingly used to employ…i.e wouldn’t even give you the good grace of a reason.

I still have access to wh promos, but then again I only stick a fiver on now and again. The bonus drop thing is complete tosh, never ever ever ever drops anything. As far as other stuff goes I've done ok from wh freebies - I seem to get free spins on the front sports page once every couple days it alternates , then also on Vegas page on a Friday and I think one day of the weekend I get free spins.

I've won bits with them but my best was a couple months ago with 5 spins on some crappy miner game where I got bonus game and won £500

Anyway yeah they do seem quick to remove promotions for rg related reasons, heard of a couple people it's happened with.

Simply because the UKGC has identified from many personal PG stories that bonuses were a trigger for the initial gambling. So they consider them lures.

They have blanket banned thousands of customers from promotions they are dick heads. I barely deposit on will hill and I've been banned for safer gambling I deposited around £25 last month on will hill so using safer gambling as a excuse as to why I can no longer use bonus drop is LAUGHABLE since they've been took over by 888 this is standard practice for that group to ban you from promos. They still allow customers to deposit but don't you dare use the bonus drop and make a million of your 5 spins on our new 87% rtp offering

Ultimately, sounds like they're banning unprofitable people - under the guise of responsible gaming. A bit disingenuous, but they're within their rights to do it.

They'll probably get me next; I don't deposit there often - as everything is low RTP - but I have withdrawn cash from their freebies here and there.

Was excluded from scratch card for the past 2 weeks or so, bonus drop was excluding me every other day during that time (I still win on it 90/100 times, ongoing for months now) . Rarely deposit so fair enough really, would take a long time at my deposit rate for them to get back what I've won there. Though I can only assume they felt sorry for me when I lost a tenner on Liverpool to win, because am now back to be allowed to use all promos again.

Oh, don’t trust the “you’re not eligible for this promotion” banner; there’s a bug. I get that sometimes, but refreshing the page fixes it.

I won 2 quid on the free spins and twice got it up to over £200, day after banned from promos and only allowed to deposit 100 per month. I'd only put twenty in over the last months prior because I usually use paddy power

I appreciate the thread is a month old, worth reiterating this as it has come up in other threads - if the staff or algorithms put you into an "at risk" category, they will remove all promotions and marketing material. As problematic as WH can be now-a-days, that one is latching onto a UKGC initiative.

Naturally, they - and the regulator - are more than happy for you to play 88% slots that drain your balance three times faster than their full-fat counterparts... ?

I can share or post a lot, but ill keep that to myself. Its bollocks, period.

Had my MR Green account locked the other day. Went on live chat and was told that you can no longer have an account on will hill and mr green. So they closed my account. Shit site anyway so good riddance

Yeah i got the 'you cant have a mr green &WH account' email a couple weeks ago, i had to choose which i wanted - let the mr green account naturally close or ask to close WH and keep MG. (or something to that effect). I decided to leave MG to close as I rarely use it. WH isn't great for rtp etc for a lot of games and obviously their reputation, but i do get a lot of freebies from them and have never had promotions removed (yet!) and do ok there now and then, so ill keep that.

I’m guessing this is due to cross-platform technical constraints.

Regulated operators are expected (or being expected depending on which setting) to extend safer gambling controls across all brands.

The bigger companies who have been acquiring brands on separate platforms are (I think) struggling to make this a reality when platform A doesn’t “talk” to platform B in real time. For example if you have a daily loss limit on brand A, you shouldn’t be able to spend on brand B if you’ve hit your limit. The tech challenge (again, my semi-educated guess) is that it’s hard to make this a reality in real-time.

In the case of WH, they struggle to make their own platform work in real time when it comes to that stuff.

Some of the profit and loss calculations they send me are baffling, more than once I've had to review deposits and withdrawals to make sure I wasn't imagining things... sure enough, it's not possible to lose £300 off £30 of (combined) net deposits and prior balance.

I would be very concerned if they were applying restrictions based on blatantly wrong calculations.

I only ever use to play bonanza at hills. When I was playing that regular there I never got restricted on anything, and i was playing it a lot!!

I do the odd accumulator now or some of the boosts but that’s about it. So deposits now fairly non existent compared to before.

However if I fancy throwing a bullseye at bonanza (which has happened about 3 times in the last year) my account suddenly gets restricted. So for me it seems that they consider it a huge spike in play and then hit with me the restrictions as a RG excuse.

If you do all the free stuff on gaming and sports you can gather a couple of quid a week but that’s normally it unless you get lucky on something.

If they’ve got people doing that and not depositing the outcome is inevitable!! No casino will tolerate that and why would they?

I kept getting these emails too. I thought to myself “well that saves me from having to close it myself”. I wish they had closed my WH account too…

I've done quite well on wh freebies and such, altho free bets when they appear I never make good decisions so don't think I've ever won anything. I never use boosts or other similar things , it's mainly free spins and free bets on the rarer occasion.

From free spins, ill often make pennies or nothing but often I can get it upto a withdraw , I've had numerous including a £500 jackpot from 5 free spins. :)

I do deposit semi regularly though, maybe once every couple of weeks , often a fiver or a couple of fivers if the first does nothing , but I tend to play minimum bet on games and even down to 5p, as i tend to play more for enjoyment and not big stakes or wins.

So far I still haven't had promotions etc removed from me! And Ive read numerous in here having lost them over the last few years.

I'm sure they'll remove them from me eventually , but so far I've been left alone.
