Was reading the Daily Star today and noticed that there was a 100k winner at Willaim Hill Casino Club.He was pictured with his cheque. The story goes that he had to stay at home because of swine flu and he had used the no deposit bonus.I may have read wrong please correct me if i have, but if i havent i thought there was a max withdrawal with a free chip.

from the t&c of william hill:
Please note: A player may make only one withdrawal of any winnings earned using a No Deposit Bonus, and this withdrawal is limited to a maximum amount of 200 . Any remaining winnings will be deleted from the player's account, upon making this one-time withdrawal request up to such maximum amount.
so if he gets the entire 100k that would be unfair to any other player that ever won an amount over 200 with the no deposit bonus :eek2:

WOW, his name really is in the winnerslist at william hill casino :eek2:
that is so totally unfair! why does he get to keep all the money he won and why can everyone else that doesn't win a jackpot but wins over 200 only can withdrawel 200 max :eek2: it seems to me like they payed him full because it's good advertisement for the casino. boy this sucks, those casinos are always slapping you around the head with their t&c's but it seems it doesn't aply for everyone

ok, going to take the bonus now at william hill and hope to make more then 200. and then i am going to try to withdrawl more then 200 because i can't wait for them to tell me i can't withdrawl more then 200 and then i am going to hit them in the face with this story :D geez, i am a really peacefull person but unfairness really pisses me off

Very interesting.

and here is the actual extract from their T&C's
# Please note: A player may make only one withdrawal of any winnings earned using a No Deposit Bonus, and this withdrawal is limited to a maximum amount of 200 . Any remaining winnings will be deleted from the player's account, upon making this one-time withdrawal request up to such maximum amount.

Is it just me or does there seem to be a mysterious abundance of progressive jackpot winners on no deposit bonuses lately? :eek2:

EDIT:
Sorry Miranda_X I just realised you already posted the relevant T&C's, thanks.

I have contacted WH regarding this and will update here when I receive a reply.

I've often wondered WHY no one I know - has won at online casinos?

I mean - I've hit 20 thousand - but that was YEARS of playing 1000s monthly.

The only people I know who "win" are people who cash out small amounts here and there - and know exactly when to stop.

But - the BIG winners...

I've never met one.

Don't know of one out of all of the forums I've been to - not a one that has won that I know of over 100K.

I put question marks too at these 'big winners'.
Very often with a certain casino you see the same names on that winners wall every week, sometimes even twice on the same list.
I think they are just big wagerers, I mean, if you play 200 per spin, sure you're going to win big.
But the list never tells how much they lose..

Unfortunately I lost my free chip at WH in the blink of an eye, if I had won over 200 I would definately also go back and claim after reading this article.

Yes I remember. William Hill $30 No-Deposit Bonus .. and Withdrawal limit upto $200 and Bonus is removed. But you need to deposit before you can withdraw. I wasnt luck enough to Win though lol.

William Hill Rogue Casino?

William hill get away with a lot because they are an established UK brand but in my experience their online record is little better than a rogue operation with dodgy bonuses and promotions and mysterious Jackpot wins.

My original email.

Dear Sir/madam,
I have just read the Daily Star article exclaiming the good fortune of someone who won 100,000 on your no deposit bonus.

How can this be when your no deposit T&C's state;

# Please note: A player may make only one withdrawal of any winnings earned using a No Deposit Bonus, and this withdrawal is limited to a maximum amount of 200 . Any remaining winnings will be deleted from the player's account, upon making this one-time withdrawal request up to such maximum amount.

Could you please clarify that this player has received all 100,000 and if so why an exception to your own T&C's were made in this instance?

Yours sincerely

That was sent on July 27th and nothing since.
I have written today explaining I will be referring the matter to the UKGC, if I get a response from either WH or UKGC I will post here.
This could be a little scandal in the making.

 this will be very interesting to know.
I now refuse to play a William Hill I am that peed off, I made a lot of deposits & was playing Dr. Lovemore (I think that is what it is call) put a heap through it & as soon as it started to pay out I got an error message & could not play it anymore  also the credits I use trying to spin again after the error message came up dissapeared from my account. I contacted William Hill about it when it happened & they said they would contact me within 24 hours - that was 3 days ago. I liked the games, is this one called Playtech? What other casinos have the same games?

By the sounds of it, the win was a standard slot win (albeit a very lucky one) and not a progressive jackpot?

If so, by rights he should not have been paid the win.

If it was a progressive jackpot then i'd expect the casino to make an exception, since the maximum withdrawal rule is designed to protect the casino and a progressive jackpot is not the casinos money.

No it is not the Casinos money it is all the players that have wagered their own money and added to the Jackpot. (hardly fair on them)
A new customer on a no deposit bonus should actually be excluded from playing progressive games IMO and many Casinos have such a Term.

This may go deeper than just WH breaking their own T&C's and sticking Two fingers up to all the other players who had their withdrawals restricted though.

It will be interesting to see if you get anywhere Rusty, but I think this is one of those issues that will get swept under the carpet.

The UKGC might be interested though.

Not written to UKGC yet but I will do it next Week.
I sent an email to the Daily Star editor asking them for their take on it and where the source of the story came from.
Not heard from them either so I am beginning to wonder if this was a publicity stunt and if this Guy even existed.
Definitely more to this yet I feel and I will keep digging.
