They are getting bigger and not as nice to look at.

Earlier today I logged in at 32Red and it was as usual. Now I logged in and it was as big as All Slots and some others.

Ugly!

Well! I had to be angry somewhere.

They are in a different screenresolution or something?
Holy shit, it hurts my eyes, my monitor switches to 60Hz. instead of the usual 85Hz.
Its AWFUL!!
I thought the November update was horrible, but this takes the cake, the games are now completely unplayable, MG, WTF are you DOING?!?!?!
:(:(:(:(:(

Oh dear...I wasn't able to actually play any of the games to see how they play for me....but it did definitely download this newest update (which is also probably why Lauram had the new January games temporarily available last night to her for a short time).

The size is okay on my monitor, actually games like Break da Bank Again fit better now, as I can see the clock at the top. I have a 20 or 21 inch monitor, and my screen resolution is set to 1024X768 I think. And I run Vista. I'm scared to even try playing from what I've heard about the horrible way the games play now. They've played okay for me up til now, even after the last update. Will let you know once I'm able to play, either tonight or tomorrow night.

Why do they always have to mess with things? It ruins your playing experience if the slots don't spin properly.

Too many complains about MG last months... At least i think they should hear the customers about their opinions and improve their services. I dunno, i feel satisfied that i stopped playing at all MG casinos after a lot of bad runs...

Wel, it goes like this now:
I load the game, Centre Court in my case, I click SPIN.
Then it takes 3 seconds before the game realises I actually clicked SPIN, then the reels begin to move.
Not spin, but MOVE.
Then, after another 3-4 seconds, reel one decides its time to stop moving.
Then, after a while reel 2 also stops! Wow!
A total spin takes about 15 seconds to complete!!:lolup:
If they do not change this back to how it was, end of story for me, no more Microgaming, I just got used to the November sluggish play update, now way I'm ever gonna get used to THIS!
Not is 100.000 years!

I can go one better, with all these new upgrades i am unable to download games at a lot of my daily deposit mg casinos. Sighs I download get in there and all i see is every game unavailable to download. I use to have 9 mg casinos
i played at daily I am down to 3 that I can still play at.

It works fine here! It`s the look I don`t like. It looks like they have oversized a picture which makes it look blurry.

The letters are blurry now.

I run 1280X800 and to get this fine I have to run 1600xsomething and my laptop screen can`t to that.

I gave up playing the download version a few months back except for the odd tournament - the software has outgrown my PC I think and games feel slower and clunky. Play almost entirely in Flash now...means I don't get to see the new games but I know what I like anyway :)

The last 3 MG casinos I signed up to I didn't even bother getting the download versions - the thought of jumpy games for several hours while everything downloaded put me off so I just played in Flash. So much quicker and smoother and not a bad selection of slots now. Recommended

Personally I think MG ought to do what other providers do and download the games when you request them. The full package has just gotten too big. To be honest I'll never want to play about 250 of the 300 games anyway and if i was a newbie, after putting up with an hour two of jumpy games (while it all installs) I'd probably think the software was shite.

Ha! "bigger and better"

I got this in an email some minutes ago:

Dear xxxx,
Account No: xxxxx,

32Red Casino is Bigger and Better!

We're proud to announce the launch of our brand new download casino, we've made it bigger and better - you can now play up to 5 games at once!

Can you handle more than one?

Too funny!

Bigger? Yes, too big for my screen in fact.
Better? No, only 5 times slower.
Guess that should compensate for the fact you can now lose your money 5 times faster?
Who wants to play 5 games at once anyway?!?

I noticed the upgrade today when I logged in to 32red. Can run 5 slots at once with no much slowdown at all.

I do have quite a beefy spec machine, i7@3.6,12gb DDR3-12800 so perhaps the new software is more cpu intensive. I imagine ram is the key to good performance.

LOL who wants to lose 5 times faster? me me me me me! We complained about US problems and now it seems we're all on equal ground again? sorry but sort of ironic. And size Does matter :D

RiverBelle has had this for a couple months now, makes my eyes bleed, they need to correct the resloution issues for sure.

I agree - it looks bloody awful!
This is some MAJOR downgrade too - looks like ALL games have to be re-downloaded for them to work in the new format.

Also, I expected to be able to play 5 slots in smaller windows, so I could see what's happening on each - but it looks like you can only view one at a time... which imbecile came up with that brain-fart?

MicroGaming have shot themselves in the foot this time - with a 12-gauge!

KK

Ah yeah I just got that email too.

Just booted to see what it looks like and it doesn't fit on my Netbook screen LOL. Can't see any of the buttons or balances which is a bummer as it means I can't play tournaments anymore either :(

KK - yes I assumed it would be like the IGT multi-game kiosks with 4 games in view simultaneously. That would definitely have been good.

I can confirm 32Red is bigger, but is by no means BETTER. It's worse, unplayable. Games are far slower, and when I load some, my fan runs like an aircraft engine. When I click out of the game, my fan slows down.

The larger size will lose them LOADS of players, in the download at least. NO "laptop" can cope, and nearly every low to mid spec "off the shelf" PC will not cope either. The MG casinos now REQUIRE an "HD ready" monitor to even be able to see the entire game. Since the buttons are at the bottom, players with poorer monitors CANNOT play, even if they were prepared to put up with it.

Microgaming are also REMOVING 6 games from the download version with this change, they are all "AWP" games. They first got removed at All Slots, and as soon as I updated 32Red, the same 6 AWP games vanished there too.

There has been no announcement that these games are being removed, which reverses the trend of making all the flash based AWP offerings available through the download lobby, a trend that was continued in November with the addition of quite a few more that were formerly available only on flash.

The AWP offerings that have been allowed to remain run FAR FAR SLOWER even than the other games, easily taking 15 seconds per spin, and exhibit the same problem reported earlier, you hit "spin", and it takes the game quite some time to realise this. Since a few of the AWP games have SKILL BASED features, this is nothing less than CHEATING, since these will now be IMPOSSIBLE to win at.

Given all this, the tournaments will also be much slower on these "larger" casinos, making it a considerable DISADVANTAGE to play network tournaments here, rather than at "old" MGS casinos yet to introduce this latest downgrade.

EDIT

I just logged in at 32Red again to see what new games were released for January. Only one, Mad Hatters:confused:

Has anyone contacted support yet?
I did, and they were sorry I was not happy with the new upgrade, but this is how it is and how its going to be, nothing to do about it..
I told him that in that case I could no longer play at 32RED, which utterly sucks.

Damn, if this is how MG casino's play in the future, RTG and Rival operators can open the champainbottles and have a party tonight!

This is TERRIBLE, so all this was INTENDED to happen. Why can't we at least have SHARP graphics on the bigger format, as pointed out, all that seems to have happened is that they have blown up the original graphic, and it has become blurred, and MGS are saying "that's how it is now, tough".

They now have a load of players who CANNOT play, even if they wanted to, since MGS casinos now REQUIRE a high class PC, rather than a standard "internet ready" PC, the ones that usually sell to MOST people, because the higher class PC's are EXPENSIVE, and tend to be bought by gaming enthusiasts or those intending to do a fair bit with "multimedia" applications.

I spent 1300 on this PC, it was not just "high end" it was TOP OF THE RANGE, above it was only the likes of Alienware, now, it is no longer good enough for this latest MGS upgrade. It can at least be upgraded further with after market products, but this is not something many users do, it's just a box they bought, and all they know is to buy another one when it breaks, or gets too slow.

MGS stand to lose many of the "recreational" players whose kit is no longer up to it, and these players will stay lost to them until they have reason to get new PCs, and have another go with MGS. The players they will keep will be those with good PCs, but even these will get fed up with the VERY OBVIOUS degredation in performance after the upgrade.

I must be in the minority in preferring the new software. I am getting the virtually the same spin rates in each games when I have 5 different ones running at once as I did when I previously ran one at a time.

I would have thought a fast dual core/quad core with 2gb ram would be fine for the software as it doesn't seem to need that much horsepower looking at my windows task manager. The one thing I have found in the past is the video card ram can have an effect on the perfomance of mgs software. I tried it on my netbook and it was hopelessly slow. (that machine was a 1.6 atom, 1gb ram, crappy inbuilt video).

It hurts my eyes and has given me a headache. :eek2:

Well, if they were looking for a way to get rid of US players, I think they may be on to something.

Thats the problem, the refreshrate changes. Looks like 60Hz.
If you go into the lobby and click 'options', and uncheck 'full screen enabled' the refresh rate gets back to the normal 85Hz. again, but then the games are too big for the screen.
So we're forced to play with sore eyes and a headache.
Not very entertaining :(

You're right. I confirm, i got a new pc before a month (Intel i7, 6gb dd3 1333mhz) and i re-downloaded 32red to check the changes now.

The result is terrible, i remember playing to my old pc (celeron p4) and it was running acceptable. Now i just can't fit the client to my desktop, the graphics are so blurry that leaves the feel that i need glasses to see them sharp. I tried to see how the reels go by entering a free tournament. LOL that was a joke. It takes about 10secs to finish a normal spin! What the heck? Uninstalled again like as i did before months. There is a lot more better casino clients to have fun:thumbsup:

I guess some of you don't have the first clue on how to tweak your computer properly.

I'm using an old laptop:
HP Pavillion ze2000
1.6 ghz w/768mb RAM
15" monitor set to 1024x768

and I have NO ISSUES AT ALL
