Curious about the opinion of others.

From personal experience, I have had bigger wins playing lower RTP slots than playing the higher equivalent elsewhere. I mainly play at one crypto casino that has 94% slots and have decent play and big wins. On the other hand, the other crypto casino where slots are at 96% has given me worse return, lack of big wins.

Is it just bad luck at the casino where the slots are set at 96%?

I read on other topics, others having similar experiences. I have seen Slots Temple being mentioned by others where they don't get the return they are getting elsehwere, despite their slots being on the highest RTP. Equally, I noticed today a member mentioned Bonanza 96% slots plays rather crap compared to the 94% version elswhere.

I dont really play 94% slots, but pretty much 100% of the battles that run on Videoslots are played using 94% rtp slots, and over the years i have done about a bajillion spins on those.
Cant say that i have noticed any difference one way or another regarding the hit rate for big wins.

I think the key thing here is the 'i mainly play' part.
More spins on that site leads to more big hits on that site, i think short term the part about just being unlucky on one site definitely comes into play, i have had many sites over the years where i could not get anything going despite playing the same games at the same rtp.

If you hammer away at 96% rtp slots for long enough you will end up with a 96% return in the end, same with 94% slots but you get 2% less back.
If we are only talking thousands of spins it probably doesnt affect the big win hit rate in any noticeable way, but i have a hard time imagining that 94% slots would produce more big wins.

It feels like bonuses are the same between RTP, at least for 96 and 94. So I guess the provider skims 2% off the base game. When you spin especially big bass on Video Slots battles you so frequently hit jack shit if you don't bonus.

There was I game I used to play a lot called wild wild riches. That has a collect feature. A site I used to play on it lowered rtp from 96 to 94 and I didn't realise right away. I got suspicious when the base game was way worse and the feature was frequently missing or connecting way less/worse. When I looked into the details and saw the lower rtp I realised.

So from my point of view you can 100% notice it if you play the same game for a few thousand spins at the different rates. It's why I will never spin 94% with my own money

I think short term results can be quite misleading. A 94 RTP version can still give a much better run than a 96% simply because of variance. Over a large enough sample, though, the RTP difference does matter.
I also think transparency is important. Players shoud be able to check the RTP version easily before launching a game. Do you usually check the RTP beforehand or only when a slot starts feeling noticeably different?

Short term results..... but they def do act different most times. Ive hit big on 94% too. 94% just means less over time it doesnt mean you cant win on them. Ive had the odd good session on 94%.

I notice the biggest differences on playngo slots and prags on 94%. ESEPCIALLY big bass bonanza. Anytime ive played that on 94% I get about 400 teases and very dry base game. on 96% I get about 50 teases instead of 400 and some base game hits. This is over a pretty big sample size.

Also, wwtbam by btg on 94% seems quite a bit different than 96%

Now 92% slots go and try and win on those babies. Very unlikely and very noticable.

I dont really play 92-94% slots anymore due to the poor returns I notice over time.

one way to change the RTP on a game is to remove some of the larger wins (which is what netnet do?) so in normal play you wont notice much difference.

I've played a lot of 94% BBB games at vs in battles, and now am doing the same at slots temple @ 96% and yeah I think it's near impossible to notice any difference in normal play, so you just have to trust the stated RTPs.

would not trust any crypto casino full stop though.

I usually play the same slots and they haven't been dropped from the highest RTP but I have tried Big Bass with lowered RTP.

A few months back I did a Big Bass rotation because I must have been feeling dumb. They were all dropped to 94/94.5% and I didn't notice any difference in the base game because there isn't one!

I did hit 4 bonuses quickly on one of them but they all returned less than 20x. Found that strange as when I used to give them a go on full RTP those kinds of session would usually return at least one with 100x+.

Might only be coincidence as I haven't tried them again.

I can say that from free spins 92% is much more noticeable. Went 3 weeks without a base game hit on a slot I always used them on when it was full RTP and would drop in some wins most of the time, even bonus occasionally.

Lower RTP have provided me with my biggest wins. I’ve had max wins on 4 prag big bass slots at 92%, 92%, 94% and 94%.

A classic example is big bass floats my boat. There is a lower RTP version on most UK casinos, the one which has the progressive jackpot running. Base game hits are bigger and the bonuses seem to land more often.

Although it’s picked up for me dramatically in the last month or so, Slots Temple at highest RTP in the business has been the driest casino I’ve played at - haven’t hit a 1000x on there on anything, but have at Casumo, Duelz and others at 92%. 🤷‍♂️

I tried the new big bass football or World Cup bollox thing yesterday.

Started on 30p stake with the enhanced chance and repeat feature on so 75p stake over all.

Munched through £100 in minutes with just a couple of teases!!

Upped it to 40p or is it 45p? Whatever it is it’s then £1 ago with the enhanced bits on.

Took this to finally land a feature in just over 15 mins!!

And this is on max rtp obv. Fucking disgraceful. And a waste of £250 with no entertainment whst so ever. Goes without saying the feature was its usual garbage.

Lower RTP, or filling pots or landing 6 balls...

I'm not sure what I "like" more. The mix & match of all of them sure is a hoot.

Anyway, jokes aside. There's a Playson game called 4 Supercharged Clovers that is used very frequently in promos across Belgian casinos. I've played the game at both low and high RTP and triggering one of the features isn't that hard on either version but getting a double, triple or "super" bonus is nearly impossible on the low RTP version compared to the higher RTP version. I haven't really felt a difference in base game pays, they're equally shite. Getting a big win of 200x or more seems to be impossible on either version tho.
